## TagoIO Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless IoT Integration with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcelo C. | Co-Founder - Staff Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about TagoIO?**

TagoIO stands out for its ease of use, simple configuration, strong scalability, and ease of implementation. New devices can be implemented and deployed quickly, even when dealing with custom or non-standard hardware.
It allows seamless integration of devices that require capabilities beyond typical off-the-shelf solutions.
The support team is a key advantage to shorten the ramp-up. They consistently go above and beyond, even reviewing my code online with me helping to identify why specific functions are failing. This level of support gives me confidence that my product will be robust and reliable, and that I am not developing alone. It prevents long late-night debugging sessions and helps me quickly overcome technical challenges.
The learning curve is short to moderate, and once completed, reusing acquired knowledge is extremely easy and fast. I personally use TagoIO frequently, as adding new devices often takes only a few minutes.

**What do you dislike about TagoIO?**

As an electrical engineer transitioning into embedded software engineering, I initially faced some difficulty understanding how modules, functions, and activities are interconnected. Despite the excellent work done to simplify IoT operations, certain aspects lacked clarity and transparency, as many processes happen “behind the scenes.”
I was able to resolve most of these challenges by frequently consulting the documentation and reaching out to the development team, but this slightly extended my learning curve.
Additionally, the debugging tools could be clearer and more comprehensive. For example, when designing protocol adapters, a variable inspector would be extremely useful to visualize variable contents and better understand data flow during execution.

**What problems is TagoIO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TagoIO helps address the challenge of bringing embedded devices online in aquaculture farms, enabling remote monitoring and control. These operations often lack infrastructure, operate under tight investment budgets, and face shortages of specialized labor in remote locations.
I need to ensure that end users do not face technical complexity or lack of support, and the platform allows me to provide reliable remote access, monitoring, and immediate support, which is the only viable way to operate and maintain these solutions efficiently in isolated environments.

  ### 2. Technical efficiency in message routing and guaranteed scalability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Octavio Matias S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about TagoIO?**

What stands out most about TagoIO is the robustness of its platform for managing and routing IoT messages. As an administrator, the ability to process data in real time is essential. Furthermore, the technical support is exceptional; Over the past year, communication via tickets has been seamless and always focused on resolving technical challenges efficiently. It shows that there is a real human team behind the product.

**What do you dislike about TagoIO?**

The platform has so many features that the initial learning curve can be somewhat steep for new users. I would like to see more pre-configured templates for managing specific message alerts, which would speed up daily administrative work even more. However, once you master the tools, the potential is enormous.

**What problems is TagoIO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The greatest benefit is the stability it provides to our operation and the confidence of having a support team that understands the underlying technical challenges, allowing us to scale projects efficiently.

**Official Response from Carolina Hidalgo:**

> Hi Octavio,

Thanks so much for sharing this, knowing the support has been there for you means a lot!

The learning curve is fair feedback. We have a free e-learning platform at https://learn.tago.io/ that helps a lot of users get up to speed faster, and the support team is always around for anything the docs don't fully cover.

On the pre-configured alert templates, it'd be great if you could open a topic in our community: https://community.tago.io/c/general/feature-requests/15. Posts there go straight to our front-end team!

Thanks again for taking the time.

  ### 4. Rapid MVP Development Made Easy with TagoRUN

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hector V. | Senior Enterprise Resources Planning Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2026

**What do you like best about TagoIO?**

TagoIO allows to move fast from ideas to MVPs using its TagoRUN platform.

**What do you dislike about TagoIO?**

UI can be overwhelming first time you access, but it give you good granularity on configuration.

**What problems is TagoIO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The specific problem TagoIO solved for me was needing a single platform to handle data from different devices and sensors without building a custom server and dashboard from scratch

**Official Response from Carolina Hidalgo:**

On the UI feeling overwhelming at first, that's fair feedback. We recently launched a new beta admin with a refreshed look and a cleaner experience that should help with the initial learning curve. If you give it a try and have thoughts, send them to support@tago.io and they'll go straight to the team working on it.

Thanks again for taking the time!

Best,

  ### 5. Professional Strength IoT Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lionel F. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about TagoIO?**

Excellent range of support for so many hardware types. Constantly updated LNS and other support. Navigation is intuitive. Built for sub tenants. Templates are useful. Debugging tools work well and work in real-time. interoperability is not difficult. API is well documented. Support is responsive. Making a dashboard work day one is possible without being an IoT PRO.

**What do you dislike about TagoIO?**

Getting if-this-then-that is not as easy as other platforms. For example, press a button on a Milesight device and make a Dragino relay controller do things, is a bit of work and research and troubleshooting. Debugging payload parsers should have an AI helper.
Plug and play platforms that hide the hard stuff also don't have as much power. Tago has a lot of power, so hard stuff IS hard but it's consistent when it works. I just want some more of the hard stuff packaged :).

**What problems is TagoIO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am delivering a platform for my customers. I need an industrial strength tool. Indoor and outdoor mapping, data parsing and transformation. It's strong and doesn't find it's limits easily. I like that.

  ### 6. Flexible and scalable platform to deploy industrial IoT projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2025

**What do you like best about TagoIO?**

The ability to quickly build customized dashboards, define dynamic access levels for different users, and connect seamlessly with LoRaWAN backends makes TagoIO a great tool for deploying and scaling industrial IoT projects. The documentation is clear, the platform is very responsive, and the support team is fast and professional.

**What do you dislike about TagoIO?**

At the moment, there’s no native support for building industrial process dashboards based on P&ID-type diagrams. This requires the use of custom widgets with code development, which increases the effort for complex visualizations. That said, we believe this is a natural evolution for the platform, and with some development time, it’s already possible to achieve what we need.

**What problems is TagoIO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TagoIO helps us deploy scalable and user-friendly monitoring solutions for industrial clients across different sectors, including energy, manufacturing, and water management. It allows us to manage devices, visualize real-time data, and provide intuitive dashboards to our customers. Thanks to TagoIO, we reduce development time and can focus on delivering value with customized analytics and alerts.

  ### 7. Powerful, Flexible, and Developer-Friendly IoT Platform!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan M. | Education Mentor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about TagoIO?**

TagoIO stands out as an incredibly powerful and intuitive platform for IoT development. Its drag-and-drop dashboards, seamless integration with countless devices and services, and real-time data visualization make it ideal for both prototyping and industrial-grade applications. The platform is highly scalable, and its scripting capability with JavaScript allows for virtually unlimited customization. I especially appreciate how quickly I can go from raw sensor data to a polished, functional interface with user control. The documentation is clear, and their support team is very responsive and knowledgeable.

**What do you dislike about TagoIO?**

While TagoIO is extremely feature-rich, some of the more advanced functionalities have a steeper learning curve, especially when diving into custom scripts and complex actions. A few more real-world templates or video walkthroughs for complete applications would help new users get up to speed even faster. Still, these are minor issues compared to the overall value the platform provides.

**What problems is TagoIO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TagoIO is helping us centralize and streamline our entire IoT infrastructure. We use it to collect, process, and visualize data from a wide range of sensors across multiple locations. Before TagoIO, we had fragmented systems and manual data handling, which slowed down decision-making and increased the risk of errors. Now, with TagoIO's automation, real-time alerts, and customizable dashboards, we’ve significantly reduced downtime, improved operational visibility, and empowered our team to act on insights instantly. It has accelerated our digital transformation and made our IoT ecosystem far more efficient and scalable.

**Official Response from Carolina Hidalgo:**

> Hi Jonathan M,

Thanks for your feedback!

On the steeper learning curve for advanced features, a few things that help: our free e-learning at https://learn.tago.io/, our docs: https://docs.tago.io/, our community at https://community.tago.io where developers share real-world solutions, and our support team for anything else: https://support.tago.io.

The note about more end-to-end video walkthroughs, If you can't find a specific walkthrough on e-learning or in the docs, send us a ticket so we can factor it into our documentation improvements.

Thanks again,
TagoIO Team

**What do you dislike about TagoIO?**

While TagoIO offers a rich set of features, its extensive capabilities can feel overwhelming at first, especially for newcomers. The learning curve can be steep as you navigate the platform’s many tools and data flows. Additionally, although the platform excels in data analysis and visualization, it currently lacks native support for running small machine learning models directly on the platform, which could limit some advanced real-time inference use cases. Lastly, the monthly pricing might be a bit high for smaller teams or projects with tight budgets.

**What problems is TagoIO solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TagoIO simplifies the complexity of managing multiple IoT devices by providing an easy-to-use platform for seamless device onboarding and integration. Also, the dashboard integration are very useful.
