This configurator is a very user friendly configurator. We need not to learn any special coding/language to write the programs in Tacton. It is very helpful for solving the rule based problems very quickly.

It is also very easy to integrate with external calculation programs like MathCAD, STAAD, Fortran, etc, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The configurator can be improved in iterative calculations like goal seek function and loop calculations.

Even though we can do this in the current version using JavaScript, it would be nice to have this feature in Tacton function itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Guided selling, Visualization and Pricing Engine is so powerful in Tacton CPQ. Their Ticket based Administration tool minimizes the conflicts during the release process. Workflows are easily configurable and Admin tool is very simple and easy to customize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Though with the Tacton DOCGEN, the proposal can be customized as you like, its very complex to understand the huge list of Tags provided. There should be an easy way to customize the Document templates than using the Tags. Also, Migration from older system to Tacton CPQ doesn't have best practice. It create multiple combination from the master model and also to possible 2D Deawing, Sales related documents,etc....and I was suprissed it replaced weldment profile also. i'm happy with tacton. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have a highly customized version of TCsite and are looking to switch to CPQ but we were told there will not be any customization available with this product. I really hope that CPQ will be able to do what we need it to do. It used to be if we needed something changed we could get it changed, now it is a suggestion that goes into a queue for consideration. When tickets are open, they essentially are not "checked out" so that 2 people may end up working on the same model or same document, but there could be a crossover between the 2.

There is no prevention stopping you from doing this, someone always has to keep an eye and manage the system releases
