**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

The fast and easy ability to generate an invoice, edit the time entries and send to client.  Also like the PracticeMaster ability to capture case and matter info in a single location

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

Somewhat difficult to generate custom reports.  Also  would like to see a custom screen that resembles a timesheet for entering time electronically.  Practicemaster also does not connect well with document management systems like NetDocuments and Worldox.  Need to use those programs separately and lose the ability to manage entire case filed from Practicemaster.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Billing bottlenecks.  It is helping us by allowing easy invoice generation and editing.

Reading the handwriting of our managers' calendars and trying to decypher it for Tabs.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

The best part of Tabs3 is the support.  Although we don't have to use it often, every time we have used it the support has been exceptional.  Tabs3 has also always been easy to use, but starting with the 2020 update, the interface was even easier to use.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

I don't like the constant requests to upgrade to Tabs3 Connect or the difficulty associated with upgrading to the Platinum edition.  Memphis does not have a reliable reseller in our area.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tabs3 provides a single place for practice and financial management.  On the practice management front, it provides a location for document retention so we could get rid of another piece of software.

We use multiple products, GL, AP, Trust and TABS3, and everything integrates seamlessly and the functions are so similar that using the programs together is effortless.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

Sometimes, to meet the requirements of a client's billing guidelines, the steps within TABS can have multiple steps that may put some users off.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Submitting invoices in the LEDES ebilling formats allows us to take on clients that require invoice submission in this format.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

TABS is easy to use, intuitive, and flexible. The different modules integrate together seamlessly. I also love how flexible it is. It's easy to correct errors in the accounting module without having to redo everything. The new dashboards are a great visual overview for the attorneys looking for their productivity numbers.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

We have a small firm here and TABS works great! I still have issues with the client cost advance reconciliation but I think that was improved with the last update.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TABS makes it easy for attorneys to enter their time. They can enter it from their laptop or even on their phone/Ipad. The attorneys and staff have access to so much information in one place using the Matter Manager

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

The way you can put a payable in the computer and it will go to client accounts to apply to the client. The software support has been very helpful to someone just learning a new system.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

How complicated it is to undo a statement and correct an error. The fact that I cannot pay an invoice a partial payment and have the same invoice remain. I need to recreate another invoice for the same bill all over again for the remaining amount. Seems like it would be an easy fix, but has not been done.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have questions and they help resolve them, and if they cannot the find someone to help us both.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

I like the simplicity of how the program functions. All the Attorneys are able to use all the important functions without issues and new staff can be trained very easily.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

Nothing so far. Any issues I've had is either self inflicted or TABS3 Tech support has helped me resolve the problem quickly. The Tech Support is so useful and available that I have been able to fix any issues same day.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its solving the issue of not being able to see other Attorneys calendars, and the current lack of a centralized location for Litigation files. I believe that having all our litigation files in one place is the key to growing our firm.

Tabs3 and PraqcticeMaster integrate seamlessly. The software is extremely user-friendly and the tech support is top notch!

Currently, PracticeMaster does not support recurring entries that are entered in Outlook. That creates a problem with some of our scheduling.

Tabs3 & PracticeMaster help keep our billing up to date for our clients. The practice management is a great tool!

I find it easy to use for all my billing and accounting needs.  I like the integration between the Tabs3, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Trust modules.

I dislike the fact that your TabsPay is not available to us here in the U.S. Virgin Islands. I could really use the convenience of accepting credit card payments directly through Tabs.

We can integrate Tabs3 software with other software we currently use. It's easy to learn, customer service is phenomenal and it is a great record keeper for our clients.

I wouldn't say there's a major downside or dislike because customer service takes your request or suggestion and puts it into consideration when making improvements.

Tabs3 is great for taking payments directly into a client account. It's simple to transfer money from trust account to trust account as needed and it tracks all of our clients in one place.

I love that you only need to enter client and contact details once and that the details flow between the other applications.  The connection between accounts payable and client billing ensures that clients are billed properly.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

Tabs3 does not allow alpha numeric in client file numbers which is not compatable with our older billing details which requires us to manually load a new file number for each new client.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Love that all the Tabs3 software talk to each other.  We recently added Practice Master and I love that I can set up new Practice Master files based on details we already had for other current clients,

I like the additional information and easy to read reports regarding the client's history. Also, how easy it is to go back and forth between Tabs 3 and Trust

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

My dislike is just on myself.  Due to going to an extremely different version, there will be a learning curve.  But, I have enjoyed learning.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are really no business problems that I had prior to getting the new version.  What it will solve is having the most updated program and not worrying.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

I keep Tabs open and input my time throughout the day. That really helps to keep my day moving rather than turning in a timesheet at the end of the day, as I did at my prior job. I can use the start/stop function and Tabs will calculate my time or I can keep time on my own and input it.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

It is somewhat difficult to delete entries and also difficult to go back and review time.  That being said, Tabs has still been better than other time management software that I have used in the past.

**Recommendations to others considering Tabs3 Software:**

I have no "current" programs to compare Tabs to but it seems good from my perspective. I presume that Tabs probably has other features that I am not taking full advantage of, which likely make it a fantastic program.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to keep much better track of my time with Tabs. Previously, I would "lose" time by not properly tracking it all and, therefore, not billing clients for all of the time that I spent.

This software is great to make billing much more streamlined and easily manageable.

There was nothing I disliked. Once I figured out how to use it, it was easy.

My company was able to figure out billing for legal documentation much more easily than prior.

I really like the ease of maintaining client-trust monies.

I dislike that some clients are confused about the format of the bill.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

I love how easy Tabs was to learn and how easy it is to use. I had very minimal training on it and I was up and running within a day. Recently they updated the program and now it's even better!! You can add certain accounts to your favourites and open multiple windows at once which is AWESOME! And being able to Tab over and not use your mouse saves so much time. 

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

I don't really like how you have to have permissions to delete something, but that's just a security feature that I believe my company sets and not the software itself. If I use the wrong account number or something I have to have an administrator to delete it and fix. But if it's only a change in the description, it's easy to change myself. 

**Recommendations to others considering Tabs3 Software:**

I HIGHLY recommend tabs. It's easy to learn and easy to use! and prints out GREAT detailed reports. 

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tabs solves the problem of entering multiple time entries a day in as little time as possible so that billing does not consume my day and I have more hours to bill clients instead.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

PracticeMaster is perfect because it keeps every bit of important information for our practice in one easily accessible spot. The best part is how PracticeMaster automatically links every email we send with one of our client numbers. We can then easily reference sent emails on the client account, including emails sent by other paralegals or attorneys.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

Sometimes, it crashes unexpectedly, but the data doesn't get lost. The crashing may be an issue on our network, but at this point we cannot determine the source of issue.

**Recommendations to others considering Tabs3 Software:**

Definitely use this product. It is top of the line for law practice management.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to connect each member of our practice digitally with PracticeMaster. We record phone call notes, record requests, client information, and even emails with this software. This makes any action much easier because it can be made by any member of the firm. By having all of the information accessible in one location, I could be on the phone about something case related and be able to refer to what one of the other paralegals did a month ago on the same case. Of course this all relies on users to carry out, but this software is simply incredible for unifying records and connecting employees.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

We really liked Tabs3 when we used it. It enables you to add an amazing amount of users -- so it's good for medium to large firms -- and enter a huge selection of various billing scenarios and charges. Drop-downs are very convenient and their tech support is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

Transferring files from Tabs3 remote to the master administrator. It would be better if it were cloud-based. Also, the program is complicated, so some users may have difficulty.

Tabs3 has excellent trust accounting and saved us money because we didn't have to use an accountant any more.

Tabs3 is simple and easy to use. The company I work for uses it to keep track of our hours and to bill our clients. It does not take long to enter in the information needed and we each have our own login so it’s very simple to keep track on each of our hours.

Tabs3 isn’t the most up to date service. The design looks outdated and can use some remodeling.

Easy to see calendar entries and filter for specific person.  also can see an audit trail of changes made to the calendar entries.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

You can accidentally delete and entry and not even know you deleted it.  there are no verification trails for the calendar.  tasks do not sync well with outlook and GASMO.

keeps everyone organized and on track for events/tasks in the future.

Very little. I do not find this software reliable and I have problems with it syncing to my calendar.

Does not seem to automatically calculate related dates and deadlines. Difficult to sync with Outlook.

I just started using this at my new job as a paralegal where I am having to keep track of my time for the first time. This software so far, while having a ton of features I haven’t even touched, is very intuitive as far as the basics go.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

It is intimidating at first look because of there are a lot of tabs and options that are not very clearly labeled.

Compared to the paper and pencil timekeeping attorneys used at my previous job, being able to keep track with just one keystroke rather than watching the clock is so much more accurate and easy.

Easy to input time, have different codes for timekeepers and attorneys, as well as areas of practice. Works well with clients by number, good search features. 

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

Difficult to use from a non-admin standpoint. Difficult to print out billing history for particular timekeeper without admin assistance, once billed entries removed from billing, unable to go back. If entered in error, cannot just change client number, must do complete new entry.

Easy way to keep track of increment billing and time spent to maximize recovery.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

What isn't easy to figure out is just a phone call away.  I like the technical support people I have had to contact. I like that when I call, I leave the conversation with a satisfactory result. I like that all the modules integrate so information doesn't need to be repeated. I like being able easily change formats of statements. 

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

Not being able to create my own reusable reports. Don't know how to configure the quires. I don't like the pricing of the practice master piece for a company our size..  

**Recommendations to others considering Tabs3 Software:**

We do not use this software for timekeeping purposes so I cannot address that, but we do use it for billing. It is great for having all the AP/AR, Trust, & GL all in one piece.

We are currently using two separate pieces of software for our billing, TABS3 for the AP and Billing Invoices and DTE for the time keeping. These two integrate and are compatible and continue to be cost effective.

**What do you like best about Tabs3 Software?**

The A/P module is very easy to use in our line of business (Law firm). The A/P reports can easily be ran, analyzed. The Trust Account Module is pretty straight forward and accurate. Easy to run reports. G/L and Tabs are very easy to use as well. If you are on cash basis, the write off/generate statements features are very easy to use. The integration on the G/L is pretty straight forward. As long as you have the right accounts Debits and Credits the system works good. P/L, B/S , T/B reports look good, they are very friendly user. 

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

The A/P module should be more accurate when you the same invoice twice. If the date is different, then the entire invoice will be paid again. is. (invoice #1 dated jan 5th, and then invoice #1 dated February 5th - the system will not recognize it as duplicate invoice, instead it will process it and pay it - everything needs to be exactly the same in order for the system to recongize it as a duplicate)

its a good starting system depending on the volume you have. Good system for law firms that specialize in foreclosure.

This software runs our day to day activities. We cannot run with out it.

TABS3 is stable.  In 3 years, I have had to restore from backup only once.

**What do you dislike about Tabs3 Software?**

TABS lacks the functionality of its larger cousins.  One thing I would like to have is a text search & replace when you preview a transaction file.

**Recommendations to others considering Tabs3 Software:**

I do not have the Platinum version, so I can speak to the standard version only.  If you are a large firm, insist on the Platinum version.  The standard version works well for small firms and it is economical.  Their support is excellent.

**What problems is Tabs3 Software solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We migrated from the DOS version of Juris, so the reporting features and our ability to budget is appreciated.
