What do you like best about Tableau?

Tableau is a good visualization tools as it has lot of different chart options available plus we can create our own custom charts using the extentions.

It is easy to implement as it automatically picks the data types for us.

We can easily integrate various calculations to help us create better charts.

Once you have used and understood how to work with it you will frequently use it as it is very easy to use.

Tableau also provide good customer support when requierd. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

As the size of data increases the time taken to load the chart or dashboard increases.

As the complexity of calculation increases it becomes hard the understand the data output as the data is not visible at the time of creating the calculation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tableau is a very versatile tool in creating charts and dashboards and its easliy publishable to various platforms like cloud and it is easily available in various dimensions for moblie, laptop, tablet etc.

It is solving various decision making problems as charts and graphs helps us in understanding where the business is going, how the company performed in last 1 year or what were company sales in the last quarter so that compant can take better decisions in future for their company.

I am getting benefited by Tableau by helping clients better understand their data so that they can take better decisions in their company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

My favorite aspect of Tableau is that, it forces me to track my performance by metrics in a more straightforward way. These interactive dashboards let me see my performance at a glance, and identify trends or areas where I need to improve. The best part is its customizability — from daily stats to long-term trends, all in one place. The charts and graphs make everything so clear to interpret data and take well-informed decisions which is a huge time saver in my daily work. The make dealing with metrics more bearable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

The performance view based on ranks can be a struglle for me to generate overall. Although I love this platform for how customizable it is, creating a single definition that ranks everything I need has been difficult alone. will utilise some extra time to arrange and filter the data that is a face way of viewing my performance. Not a huge deal or anything, but I wish it was slightly less confusing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

This tool makes my metrics easier to track and understand. I can easily see how I am performing in areas where I am doing great or poor. Checking and monitoring my metrics is every crucial specially for a freelancer like me. All in all, this has made controlling my metrics a lot easier and less intimidating. What do you like best about Tableau?

The variety of chart options available to me as a Tableau user is commendable, plus I am allowed to create my own customized charts.

Tableau is generally intuitive to use for me even in my past, as a beginner user. Tableau connects with key data sources and most importantly, its AI assistant helps me introduce predictive data models into my reports without writing code and even automate the generation of descriptive analysis for workbooks , tables and data sources using conversational prompts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Load time tend to get longer , the larger the volume of data I am processing on Tableau. I dislike having to lose properties of my reports when I export them outside of Tableau, into other data formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tableau is the most important software to me for data visualizing and analysis ( data clustering , forecasting ) purposes . With Tableau, I am getting more done with less effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

The best thing about tableau that I found to be was its easy to use interface. I started my data analytics journey with tableau and it didn't disappoint. However, it takes a little bit of training and could be a little bit overwhelming. Also, it really makes deep customizations, visualizations and analytics quiet easy. It gets great visuals and real-time analysis. For beginners, this is a go-to thing. One of its best things is that it analyzes data and presets some filters etc to be used. For eg, if you have a very large dataset, it provides you with preset recommendations which can be suitable for visualization. This enhances creativity. It's a great tool for quick and in-depth visualizations. Oh and it offers integration with CRMs and data sources which is another plus point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

If you need this for larger purposes, some features can be overwhelming. It also lags a bit when there are too many customizations, and sometimes it adds unnecessary filters which can slow down the whole process. Also, data blending is an issue. To view the tableau in depth visualizations, its necessary to view it on tableau. exporting the visualizations loses the features and arent as accurate. So there is a big collaboration and sharing concern related to it. For a larger industry purpose, there needs to be a huge improvement in spaces of cloud storage, seamless visualizations and ETL pipelines. This actually increases the dependence on third-party apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

With tableau, connecting and quering literally became simpler because it lets you visualize those connectors and pick-drop quering. Understanding tableau, its structure and storytelling, its connectors got me better perspective on concepts of database and SQL. Like you don't have to know quering to use it but it just works as good, but it does strengthen your concepts. It also makes combining data sources easy. For basic use, you don't need to know heavy ETL pipelining process, which works just as fine for a beginner. It helps with real time analysis and can be customized a lot. It processes lot faster unless there are way too many overly crowded filters. Also in many cases, predictive analysis comes in quiet handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

Informative Dashboards - Combine images, visual objects, text, and various other components to present a comprehensive view of data. and range of layouts and styles, enhancing data presentation.

Best feature was Connect to and fetch data from a variety of sources, including local files, spreadsheets, relational and non-relational databases, data warehouses, big data, and cloud data, for data analysis.

Very easy to use, implement, and Integrate with different sources.

I my company formally we use looker studio and then moved to Tableau because of the dashboard and presentation which increases the frequency use of the Software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Joining or Bundling data sources is bit complicated from my point of view if it is query based which will make Joining data lot more easier for developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Yes, I work in RMS system for Hotel360 which hold many hotels across the globe, in past they managing rate manually and mapped all the data into the sheet.

What I did centralize the data in PostgreSQL Database on google cloud SQL and integrated with tableau for analysis and advanced intelligence system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

It is easy to use, I did not have any previous experiance using any software so complete and powerfull as tableu, I was used to excel or google spreadsheets, and I am loving it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Havent use tableu that much to really tell a key negative point that Tableau has, how ever something that I found was, I was unable to save one of my sheets as an Image PDF or powepoint file, to do it I had to move from Tableu public PC to the Online version, That is what I found until know, if there could be a way to link the sheet or dashboard to a presentation localy with out the need of the online version would be excelent, at least an easier way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is allowing me to show steakholders, AKA my boss or clients, my findings after reviewing data set, I am moving into the data analisis and I was using excel or spreadsheet charts to create presentations, however those tools are limited and not powerfull as tableu, is more flexibe. I hate when e visualization gets on the way of my spreadsheets data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

Tableau is one of the best Visualization tool used in the Data analytics. Ease of Drag and Drop option is very much effective option than other Visualization tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

I am using Tableau sence 3 years personally as well as professionally. Tableau have many versions and sometimes if we have to use the tableau personally, we can use Tableau trusl version or paid else we can get the option of Tableau Public which is even better option for the one who want to learn it as badic level or advance as well but for shaing the files Live, we need to get the Tableau desktop or professional(pro). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tableau helps in daily task as Analytics. From Data preparation to Dashboard creation and publishing the Reports, Tableau helps in almost all the daily task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

The drag-and-drop interface of Tableau is user-friendly especially for individuals lacking extensive technical knowledge. Users only need to choose the fields and data points from their datasets to quickly generate charts, graphs, and dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Tableau can be costly, particularly for startups. Even with its flexibility, the licensing model still adds costly, especially when you extend usage across teams or a complete company.Tableau is capable of handling huge datasets; but, depending on the structure and connectivity of the data, excessively large or complicated datasets may cause performance issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Spreadsheets and massive, enterprise-level databases are just two examples of the many data sources that tableau may connect to and aggregate into a single dashboard. Working with varied data becomes simpler as a result, and complicated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) procedures are avoided.Tableau makes it simple to retrieve, combine, and evaluate data from several sources in one location, which speeds up decision-making and cuts down on time spent manually compiling data. It handles large datasets very easily. Calculated fields, parameters, tooltips, and its ability to connect to a mostly all common datasources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Very limited chart options. We have to write complex calculations to get charts like Waterfall, shankey etc etc.

Formatting options can be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tableau solves problems like siloed data analysis, manual reporting, and difficulty in visualizing trends across large datasets. It benefits me by enabling quick integration of data from multiple sources, automating reporting processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Tableau?

It offers several pros helpful for insightful data analysis processes.

Like being user friendly, e.g the drag and drop interface, the timely data analysis syntax, the fact I am able to integrate it seemlessly with multiple data sources makes it a go to, it's interactive nature is also impressive and most importantly it's secured system makes me want to keep using the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

The fact that I have issues when trying to work with a large data set on this platform it start acting up plus it gives me less visualisation tools unlike its counterparts and the limit it is on exporting my finished work for interactive presentations but otherwise it's quite an insightful tool to use. Thank you Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Tableau solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helps in the solving data visualisation problems by making it easier to turn complex data to a more gradient analysed and insightful information. It's also time efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
