What do you like best about Synthesia?

I really like Synthesia because of the avatars. They look really natural and make it easy to put in different types of dialogues. This feature allows the avatar to read or repeat the dialogues and become like a natural feed. I also appreciate how customizable it is, as the avatar sort of becomes my company's face. Whatever I write down into a dialogue, the avatar can say, giving me an easy digital employee to promote my business. Also, I find Synthesia much easier to use compared to other platforms, and it fits the direction my company is going for branding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

I wish Synthesia could provide more avatars than they currently have. For each type of niche, like a software engineer or something that relates to my business, having an avatar for that would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"2 Years Later - still an amazing enablement productivity tool!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Synthesia?

The benefits are many. First, the productivity savings are amazing. Most learners adapt well to a narrated overview of a new product or solution, and Synthesia lets me be creative through the scripting process without the constant fear of, “Am I going to have to re-record this 10 times before I get it right?” That alone allows for more creativity throughout the production cycle.

Secondly, building on that same point, Synthesia makes it possible to expedite learning modules, with each one building on the content of the previous module. The AI customer support and overall ease of use are amazing, with clear, pointed answers offered instantaneously at the right time and in the right context.

Synthesia has changed the way I approach content creation, and it has helped build my personal skills as well as our in-house production skills. I’m using it every day and plan to continue, because my audience is as happy with the output as I am as the creator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

Hard to say at this point. Due to company policy, I cannot use AI generated avatars of myself, so that is not a weakness of Synthesia, more internal. The list of Avatars is really good however!

Update 6/2026 - its hard to dislike Synthesia, the learning curve for me was probably the most challenging based upon time on my side - I recommend if you are going to invest in the platform spend an entire day leveraging the training content and videos. I did it piecemeal and while my fault, not a ding to the Synthesia team or platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI-Driven Video Creation Made Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Synthesia?

I really enjoy using Synthesia's AI as it automatically helps me script the video and creates a really high-quality video in just a matter of minutes. Using the AI feature, Synthesia quickly comes up with a cohesive story that then can be put into a video, including high-quality graphics. It's making my process a lot easier to create. The initial setup was extremely easy, and I was up and running in a matter of minutes. It's a very easy program to learn with a great user interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

Sometimes it doesn't put in the appropriate graphic, so I wish maybe the library was a little bit bigger so that I didn't have to put in my own graphics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Ai tool that creates experts"

What do you like best about Synthesia?

The speed and ease of updating and editing make this tool invaluable to developing training programs and quick informational pieces quickly. I love the ease of media creation and b-roll development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

More ability to customize clothing (even just color?) for non-enterprise users to help fine-tune avatars would be nice. I suggest you enable at minimum color changes and clothing swaps. Would love to be able to choose avatar face and another's clothing sometimes. Also need more casual outdoor worker clothing for small business construction or landscaping. "Amazing Technology!"
5/5
What do you like best about Synthesia?

The avatar selection, voices, dialects, and editing capabilities are the best in the business. This service blows my mind at the marketing and training potential for our business! This software has only grown more and more dynamic and has added more and more features that could be integral to any business model. It's easy to use and implement into your website or app with how you can link up your videos or even export/import into your workflows completely separate from the site. I guarantee you that if you adopt this software, you'll be using it almost daily to further your business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

I honestly can't think of anything I dislike... This software has been and continues to be exactly what it markets itself as. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Gamechanger for Fast, Engaging Training Content"
5/5
What do you like best about Synthesia?

What I like best is the speed at which training content can be created, it’s incredibly efficient and saves a huge amount of time. The user experience is second to none, making it intuitive and easy to use from the outset. And in the unlikely event you need support, the team responds quickly and typically resolves any issues within minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

I genuinely haven’t found any downsides. Whilst it’s not the cheapest option out there, it’s absolutely a case of getting what you pay for - the quality, speed, and overall experience make it well worth the investment.

"Makes our training videos very well"
5/5
What do you like best about Synthesia?

I like that it was pretty easy to figure out without a huge learning curve. I looked at a bunch of different options, and this one just looked the most natural to me. The people actually seem like they're talking instead of looking like obvious AI, and I think that makes a big difference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

Honestly, I haven't really run into anything I dislike. The only thing I'd like to see is having video translation into other languages included with the plan I'm on. Other than that, it's done everything I've needed it to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Video Creation with Custom Avatars for Rosebank International students and staff."
5/5
What do you like best about Synthesia?

I use Synthesia to create videos on courses, which has made our work more efficient by eliminating the need for individuals to memorize scripts and speak on camera. I like the feature of creating our own Avatars, as it captures a person's likeness and voice, including their accent and tone. The features added to how avatars pose and the scenarios in which they are placed are impressive. I also enjoy the gestures and outfit creation options in avatar creation. Synthesia's initial setup was very easy to understand, allowing me to quickly get into the flow of working. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

I think more tools are needed when editing the videos. For example, I would like shapes that we can transform or make into any shape we want, AI video generations that are longer than eight seconds, and the ability to allow text to form around shapes. More realistic AI avatars and more motion graphic options are also needed. When personal avatars are shared amongst colleagues, an option to edit the outfit would be helpful. Additionally, the inclusivity of all our official South African languages is important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Tool for Consistent Videos with Realistic Avatars"
4/5
What do you like best about Synthesia?

It’s easy to use, and it makes it simple to duplicate work I’ve already done. I can create consistent videos without much effort, and the avatars look realistic and work well. I particularly like that when I have a script, it automatically maps text to a slide so I don't have to worry about the text on the screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

Personally, I use it with my own scripts, so I do think the AI design is quite limited. The AI supports scripts really well and automatically designs the slides, but the graphics—and its ability to come up with innovative design ideas—aren’t very strong. The templates also tend to end up looking quite similar, so there isn’t much variety overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Professional Learning Videos in Hours, Not Weeks"
5/5
What do you like best about Synthesia?

What I like best about Synthesia is how easy it is to get started. The interface is highly intuitive, allowing users to become productive quickly without extensive training. The continuously expanding selection of avatars and voices is another major advantage, and their realism keeps improving.

My personal highlight is the straightforward multilingual translation workflow. Videos can be translated into several languages in parallel while retaining the original layout. Even the text on the slides is translated reliably without disrupting the formatting.

Integration into our learning workflow is also very convenient. Videos can easily be downloaded as MP4 files or exported as SCORM packages for direct import into our LMS.

The overall performance is excellent. Standard videos are generated within minutes, without noticeable bottlenecks. Interactive videos take somewhat longer to generate, but their interactive capabilities take the learning experience to the next level.

For a professional enterprise solution, I consider the pricing appropriate. A particularly valuable advantage is the ability to create videos without a generation limit. Sometimes errors only become apparent after viewing the generated video. With Synthesia, I can simply correct the issue and regenerate the video without having to worry about consuming a limited allowance. This removes a great deal of pressure from the production process and makes iterative improvement much easier.

The support experience is excellent as well. For general questions, the AI support provides fast and professional answers within seconds. If a more specialized issue occurs, the request is reliably escalated to a human support representative, who usually resolves the problem within a few hours. Thank you to the Synthesia team for the outstanding support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Synthesia?

Overall, there is very little to criticize about Synthesia. Even when a specific feature is not yet available, a brief exchange with the product development team is often enough to explore a suitable solution. The Synthesia team makes a strong effort to address individual requirements and, where possible, develop missing functionality in a timely manner.

The price may seem relatively high at first. However, considering the wide range of possibilities, extensive feature set, continuous development, and excellent service, I believe the pricing is more than reasonable for a professional enterprise solution.

Overall, I have not encountered any significant drawbacks so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
