Synthesia is wonderfully easy to use and creates professional looking training courses with very little fuss. The AI facility is really useful as a help to getting started and the range of avatars and voices make choosing a format simple. The ability to add animations to slides without having to worry about timings and changing text is fantastic as is the ability to place avatars on different backgrounds. It has been really easy to integrate into our other training product Articulate and courses are simple to implement. We use Synthesia for all of our courses.

Not much really. The ability to start off in UK English each time rather than defaulting to US English is about the only thing I can think of. I find Synthesia easy to use, allowing me to quickly create a working storyboard and produce a video in just an hour. It provides a consistent voice and style without sounding too robotic, which makes it more acceptable for users. The whole process is straightforward and user-friendly, enabling us to draft and polish videos to be client-ready with minimal effort. Some facial expressions don't always map right to the tone being delivered, but this can be worked around. It's not something that's 'wrong' per se, just something to be aware of. Like any use of AI, proof reading and sense checking is vital. It could be handy for the platform to have an option to set the tone or intention of a word, sentence, or paragraph. I've been using the Synthesia video creator system for a few years now. This tool gives me the ability, quickly and easily, to add compelling video content into my training courses. It's flexibility (in terms of avatar and language choices) coupled by the ease of use means that, in minutes, I can have a video ready to use. This has transformed my learning styles support in all my courses, and has been a complete "Wow" for my Clients.

Over the years, and regularly, Synthesia creates new avatars, better motions and gestures and other features that offer continuous improvement in the video content I can create. This continuous improvement means my content can truly stay at the cutting edge of content creation.

I can download content and use for future editing (say, using something like Camtasia), while for most content, the out-of-the-box integration with YouTube means I can export directly to that platform. This makes the overall performance of Synthesia even better, as videos can be make available to my audience within minutes.

The system is so simple, I only needed support once, and when I did reach out, my answer came within minutes.

I like Synthesia for its fast creation and fast revisions of training videos, which is great as our product evolves quickly. I appreciate the ability to create scripts and seamlessly sync the timing to a screen capture. It helps when creating software training by capturing extended screen captures of our product. By creating the script ahead of time, Synthesia plays back the audio, prompting the 'driver' on what to click on and when, resulting in perfectly timed audio and product interaction. My biggest issue is that I have to do all of the work. Synthesia doesn't offer Teams plans that would allow me to collaborate with my staff and have others help create content. The only option is to jump from an individual plan to an Enterprise plan which is extremely cost prohibitive. Also, the individual plan is already capped to a certain allowed number of rendering minutes, so I'm not sure why it matters if I use those minutes or one of my colleagues. The biggest value for me is speed. I create sales training videos, and what used to mean booking a studio, lining up a presenter, and spending a full day filming now takes just a couple of hours from script to finished video. When something changes—like a pricing detail or a step in the process—I can simply update the script and regenerate the video instead of reshooting everything. That alone has changed how often I’m willing to refresh and keep training materials current.

The second major win is the multi-language capability. I deliver training in more than one language, and being able to produce the same video in multiple languages from a single script—with natural-sounding AI voices—means I no longer need separate recordings or voiceover artists for each market. Localizing a module has gone from a full project to something I can knock out in an afternoon.

The editor is also easy to use: a slide-style layout, drag-and-drop elements, and templates that help videos look professional even without video editing skills. For high-energy sales content, I sometimes have to make up for that with tighter scripting and more visual variety on screen.

Pronunciation also occasionally needs manual fixes, especially for brand names, acronyms, and industry jargon. The phonetic correction tools do work, but they add an extra review step to every video, and in some languages the voices are noticeably stronger than in others.

Frankly I love this platform for its user friendly interface. Creating a video for ads or Information becomes much easier using this AI Platform. Ideas can turn into videos without much skills of editing a video. Its AI have bridge most of the gap for that. I love most parts of it but i wish that there were customizable voices and Avatars which will deeply enhance the diversity in output. I also wish that the price to be more moderate. One issue I currently have is sometimes video generation takes up to several hours, and this is for short videos up to 30-45 seconds. This does slow the creation process a bit. Another issue is there is no way to view what the avatar does in the video until its generated. I have run into the issue of the avatar looking off screen for an entire video, or their hands are constantly in the picture, which creates a distraction.
