## About Synergy
Synergy is a software download that shares one mouse and one keyboard between multiple computers. Simply move your mouse between your computers effortlessly. You can even copy and paste between computers. Synergy works on Windows, macOS, Linux, and Raspberry Pi. You only need a regular Ethernet or WiFi network connection, and no special hardware. It works like magic.

**What do you like best about Synergy?**

Symless Synergy is a solution which allows keyboard/mouse sharing across multiple computers; imagine having two laptops and a desktop on your desk, but only one keyboard/mouse. It's wonderful to not have to move from one keyboard/mouse to another, and have only one on a desk instead of several.

**What do you dislike about Synergy?**

It's far too tricky to get this working consistently. Over Wifi, it's almost unusable due to lag. Over Ethernet, it depends on how the machines are routed to each other. A direct Thunderbolt connection works best for me, but even then, the sleep/wake modes are problematic. I've had to develop my own helper scripts and utilities just to get Symless Synergy working correctly.

**Recommendations to others considering Synergy:**

Try it, but be prepared for frustration while getting it working.

**What problems is Synergy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to share a single keyboard/mouse across multiple computers; keeps my desk tidy and aids my workflow by not having to change input devices.

**What do you like best about Synergy?**

I love being able to copy and paste text and even files between two completely separate computers without any manual action. Symless Synergy makes it seem like you are using one computer the whole time.

**What do you dislike about Synergy?**

Sometimes the software can be buggy and requires a restart to reconnect to the host.

**What problems is Synergy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company provided us with laptops as well as enhanced desktops for when we needed more computing power. Having Symless Synergy made it easy to use both when in the office.
