If my memory serves me right I think I first heard about Sync.com in 2015. At first, I did not think Sync.com was such a big thing. It was only after I realized Encryption and its importance that I realized how good Sync.com is. Since then I've kept all the very important bank information and most important things related to our Business Website at Sync.com. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** To be honest, Sync.com's mobile application is not enough. Sometimes Automatic Backup does not work at all. Not enough Desktop Syncing is very slow. Probably because Sync encrypts all the files. In any case, they should pay more attention to their mobile application. **Recommendations to others considering Sync Pro:** If online privacy is a serious concern for your business, you should use Sync and I'm sure you will love it. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Even though we are a small team we have a lot of important things to keep as documents about the business. We do not think it's safe to store it on a hard drive. We were not content to simply store such important files in any online cloud storage. So I decided to put it in Sync. Now everything is safe. ### 3. There is version history in case a file is written over, I can go back and restore a previous file. I like how links can be password protected and you can specify who has access to what folder. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** I do not like how two people can work on one file at the same time and it creates two different versions (vs. collaborating in real time or locking the other person out until finished). This creates the headache of trying to figure out what changes were made on what document. **Recommendations to others considering Sync Pro:** It's a great tool for the price compared to the other file storage tools with all the bells and whistles. What it lacks it makes up for in price. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using it for file storage and sharing. We are able to have the company internally work on documents and have them be stored in one place. We can also send our clients password protected files. ### 4. The application is practically in charge of selecting all the options to carry out a synchronization and you just have to click on accept. Another feature that I really like is that it has two-factor authentication, ensuring that the account is shielded. I also like that you have an option to set passwords expiration date. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** When trying to create folders in the iOS app, these are not sync in the web version. To solve the inconvenience, I must log out and log in again. **Recommendations to others considering Sync Pro:** In my opinion, this software is very well designed and is also available on different platforms, so it is possible to use it on both computers and mobile devices. I think it has good security features, such as two-factor authentication and password expiration date. I recommend it. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sync.com plays a fundamental role in providing maintenance and technical support to the computers of the different headquarters of the company where I work. With this software I can support the different departments through backup copies of their confidential files. I can also provide a restoration of documents that are hosted on the server. ### 7. As such it does not have a desktop interface, but the web interface is very fast and can be used to move files. It has a function called "vault" that allows you to copy files without existing in the computer, very useful. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** I'm very sad because Sync.com does not have support for Linux and our larger servers are under the platform of this operating system. **Recommendations to others considering Sync Pro:** The price of Sync.com is solid and the storage is AES-256 bit encrypted and directed through secure TLS tunnels. I think it's a quick and safe option. Most cloud services can analyze the data you upload to their platforms, whereas Sync incorporates native end-to-end encryption, which ensures that your data remains protected even from the administrators of the Sync.com cloud. Additionally, with Sync, you can create shared folders, also end-to-end encrypted, and you can even create links to share a file; these links could also be protected by a password chosen by the user. Considering all this, Sync is very easy to use, which makes it a suitable solution for anyone, even if the person does not have extensive computer knowledge. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** What I like least about Sync is that it doesn't have the option to use a desktop client for Linux. Sync allows you to use a desktop client (Windows), you can also use the Android app or the web interface. Additionally, Sync allows you to create shared folders with other users or share them with a password-protected link. Another feature of Sync is that it allows you to save files in a different folder that you don't want to sync with devices, so you can save space on your devices and keep your files stored in the cloud. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** The main drawback I have encountered when using Sync is the absence of a desktop client for Linux, which is why I still do not use Sync as my exclusive cloud storage solution. Another issue I have experienced is that when using the Android app, the image viewing experience is not very good, as images take too long to load and sometimes do not load at all, only showing a black image. **Recommendations to others considering Sync Pro:** Sync is a good alternative because it allows you to encrypt files natively. **What problems is Sync Pro solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Sync, I can store all my files securely, without having to worry about them being compromised. ### 10. All data encrypted client-side remains so during uploading and at rest. Moreover, the encryption keys used to encrypt and decrypt client data are only available to the client, therefore, Sync.com cannot access clients’ keys. Likewise, users’ passwords are never stored and are only accessible client-side. 2048 bit RSA, 256 bit AES, SSL and TLS encryption make sure you get the best in terms of data safety and privacy ### 11. The security is excellent and it is more affordable than many similar platforms. **What do you dislike about Sync Pro?** The lack of collaboration tools makes this difficult to use in a team setting. We end up with conflicted files often because there is no indicator that the file is in use elsewhere. Also, very few other software integrates with it as it is not a major player. **Recommendations to others considering Sync Pro:** The lack of collaboration tools makes it difficult for use within a team.
