"Recommended for any Windows based user workstation."

What do you like best about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

Symantec has done a great job with their centralized management portal. The agent/client itself is easy to deploy once you understand Symantec's interface. Policy management could use some work, but given the class of software it covers the basics and then some. Email notifications are a must for me and this software does it well. It doesn't matter if the event was resolved automatically or not, admins always get notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

Technical support can be a little frustrating at times especially if the problem at hand is not directly related to the agent. Portal related issues can take a little time to solve and more so since Broadcom took them over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All My Experiences with SEP"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

I think SEP is a real investment product. Because you can use the product easily even in old windows operating systems. I also see comments on some forums like it uses a lot of CPU and RAM resources. If the PC you are using is old, it is almost impossible to operate with this computer even with applications that use some RAM resources. So in summary, this is not the case with SEP. On Intel's 2nd or AMD's Ryzen 1st generation PCs, you never feel the product running in the background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

The worst part of the product in my opinion is that the license form and price is high. The fact that there is a lot of difference between competitors makes you think when choosing the product. Ben Symantec firm needs to show its pricing policy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable Protection and Rapid Threat Detection"
4/5
What do you like best about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

What the product does best is that it can quickly detect and block malware and virus threats. It can prevents infection of such threats, especially through e-mail and USB flash drives. It is really very successful to be able to do this job without any damage to the file, especially while preventing these threats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

The worst thing about SEP is that it uses a lot of system memory. This negatively affects the performance of your computer. Using too many resources makes some programs very slow to open and use. This is a situation that negatively affects our business. I think Symentec should find a solution to this problem soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"10 years of SEP"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

The management of the SEP endpoint has always been very intuitive. I never feel like I have to look hard to fine the settings I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

We have had some issues with updates that cannot be explained by the Symantec team. This causes frustrations with management.

Also, while comprehensive, the console has a steep learning curve. I feel like I am finding new things each day after over 10 years as an administrator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The solution offers protection from Network threats and is easy to use."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

The solution is easy to use and has the ability to integrate with the Symantec cloud. It is also easy to deploy and adequate support is available.

The Symantec solution is also able to replace any existing endpoint security solution during the installation process.

Useful product documentation is also available and relatively easy to find. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

More training material and videos should be made available. Things got a little bit confusing after the Broadcom acquisition. The new website layout can be improved to make it easier to find resources.

Replication with Symantec replication partners at other locations fails sometimes. This appears to have improved greatly with software updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Safe Front Line Protection with SEP"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

In addition to providing ease of use in managing security warnings, the product contains the least downloaded false positives. However, the product provides a very good endpoint protection with fast malware and virus detection. In addition, continuous updates provide effective protection for endpoint PCs against new threats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

The product uses too many PC resources. Therefore, while SEP is running in the background, the performance of the PC decreases. Also, the management consul is a bit complicated. Therefore, it is not that easy to use. Especially in these two areas, the product should be developed further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It provides end-to-end security"
5/5
What do you like best about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

It provides end-to-end security for different devices and applications including desktop, mobiles, text messaging, servers and Web communications, etc. Works as a good protective wall against spams and protection for Web gateways. Efficient enough to protect against invisible threats (i.e. zero-day threats). Endpoint protection ensures the safety of delicate data and essential information at the messaging gateways with data loss prevention. It provides quick and consistent recovery for data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Symantec End-user Endpoint Security?

It uses most of the system resources that affect system speed and efficiency. Some programs might not work properly or stop working. While deep scanning the whole system becomes extremely slow and sluggish. This issue can affect your business work and eat up your time. On the other hand, it is a bit more expensive in comparison with other software with high license fees and high pricing. These problems need to be worked with such great features.
