I have been using this from last 3 years, I would say no other product can beat this. What I really like about this is Easy to deploy, user-friendly console, good reporting etc, I am very familiar with Installation/Deploy, creating policies, agent deployment. provides more details regarding db health, agent status, and grouping for DLP policies. it is one of our primary security solutions. It has been widely adapted in the enterprise. Good this is that users don't even know it's there unless something is flagged

DLP is powerful, flexible and extensible. Whatever your issue, you can probably use DLP in a creative way to protect your data. Obviously there is the bread and butter such as discover scanning, but I particularly like Flex Responses. Flex Responses add a lot of extensibility to the DLP platform, suddenly you can write your own plugins that can be triggered by DLP to automate many processes. Personally I have worked on flex responses that integrate symantec products that have no native integration (such as ICT). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The platform is somewhat inconsistent in terms of how it has been built and what you can use where. Take for instance Flex Responses; Agent flex responses are written in python and Server flex responses are written in Java. I would like to see more standardisation for the DLP platform in terms of development standards.

The UI makes navigating incidents, developing policies, administration work, and updates all very easy. The ability to create simple to extremely complex rules is great to have. I wish there was a Linux client available. This has been the only issue I have ran into but there are work around depending on the reason for the need of DLP on Linux. I wanted to scan Apache logs, so instead I export the logs to a smb share for scanning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love Symantec Data Loss Prevention Cloud, it has a way of extending security to both the physical components and everything installed in the cloud. It really allows a detection of data loss points that affect the performance of the applications and in some cases compromise information or data.

Its encryption seems to me excellent we have done distant tests and simulations being successful until the moment the form with its AI solves the situation.

DLP policy template are flexible to use with wide range of option to add key words, content. With GDPR compliance in row it easier to implement the policy.

Fine tuning of policy is quite time consuming, however once policy are ready it works well. Fetching attribute from LDAP also does not work. User level its difficult to understand the policy. Special session need to be taken to understand the complete DLP solution. Support is way to slow. For instance, if I create case, I get call from support after two or three days. If Symantec can come up with single console for all solution will be very helpful & easy to manage wide range of solution in single console. Database support needs to be extended for SQL.
