It really helped our team not only decide on working agreements for faster turnaround times but held us to these decisions. It is easy to use the graphs to see trend lines and outliers and be able to talk about the outliers.

I also really like the Slack integration. I have my github notifications come to me in Slack through Swarmia which provided a quicker response than email notifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike that it counts weekends. Often times our team will open a pull request on a Friday afternoon and come Monday it counts as open for 3 days.

I also dislike the messaging in the reminder message I receive from Swarmia through Slack. Often times I start early in the morning while some of my team mates start later and work later through the afternoon. If one of them opens a pull request in the late afternoon that gets assigned to me, I'll get a Swarmia alert in Slack in the AM that looks like:

"Time for a review? [TEAM MEMBER] has been waiting for your review on [PULL REQUEST] for almost 1 day."

In the latest one, I was assigned to review a pull request at 6PM. I then got the above Swarmia message at 4AM. That is an elapsed time of 10 hours but the Swarmia message says "almost 1 day"

I also dislike that the most granular you can set things is in days. It would be nice to be able to enter fractions of days or hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Intuitive UI and a wide range of collected/reported information.

Lacking a documentation that could be used to easily find description of various reported metrics and how those are calculated. The UI actually tries to help with that by providing some descriptions in tooltips, but that was not very helpful when evaluating the feasibility of using this tool as it meant we had to actually get a trial account and setup a bunch of integrations before getting more clarity on some things that could have been covered by documentation.

Pricing model could have been a bit more flexible - you don't get any savings by choosing 2 out of 3 available modules.

Currently Jira integration is a bit weak, lacking features on integrating the Story Point and release information and reporting on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It gives you a very good overview of the work and the whole workflow. I really enioy being able to see the ongoing team Pull requests and being able to jump straight to the ones that need review. I also like the Slack notifications, which give you much more information the GitHub integration.

As an engineer, I feel like Swarmia can give "Big Brother vibes"; while it depends on each organization on how to use it, I feel like it can be misused to micromanage or monitorize people and teams. Its never terrible, but if you are watching cycle time really close in the event that your team closes a lot of things before the end of your sprint this number might not be fully accurate immediately.
