## About Swarmia
Swarmia is the software engineering intelligence platform that gives product and engineering leaders one place to see how their teams work, how they feel, and where the investment goes — and the tools to act on what they find. The platform is trusted by industry-leading companies of all sizes, including Lovable, Honeycomb, Engine, Bolt, and Miro. You’d never run production without monitoring. But for years, plenty of organizations ran engineering on gut feel and a few good-enough dashboards. That worked when you could keep the whole picture in your head. When AI tools are writing code faster than anyone can track by intuition, it doesn’t anymore. Swarmia brings four things together on one org structure and one data model: engineering metrics, AI adoption and impact, developer experience surveys, and software capitalization. One source of truth instead of a productivity tool, a survey tool, and a capitalization spreadsheet that never talk to each other. Most teams have rolled out Copilot, Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code, but far fewer can say what they’re getting for it. Swarmia brings every AI tool into one view — who has access, who’s using it and how, and what it costs — so you can spot unused licenses, find the teams getting real value, and connect AI spend to the work it supported. Adoption is only half the story, though. Swarmia also measures how effectively your teams turn ideas into working software with research-backed metrics, including DORA. Working agreements, automated signals, and Slack and Teams notifications turn metrics into real behavior change — not dashboards nobody checks. From there, Swarmia keeps a clear line from effort to value. You can see where engineering time is actually going, and whether your biggest projects are on track early enough to do something about it. It also makes software capitalization a few clicks instead of a quarterly fire drill, with audit-ready reports in minutes and an FTE model defensible enough for Big Four auditors. And because numbers don't tell you what it's like to work in your organization, developer experience surveys ask the questions only engineers can answer, then hand back a heatmap by team and a prioritized action plan. We believe engineering improvement happens when you fix the system people work in, not when you measure individuals harder. Most tools in this space are built top-down, for leadership reporting. Swarmia’s roots are in helping teams get better, so it's built for the people doing the work as much as the people reporting on it. Because it's transparent by design — most of the data is visible to everyone, from ICs to the CTO — engineers see it as a tool to improve their own work, not a way to be watched. The result is cross-domain insights no single-purpose tool can offer, on one platform with one setup. Your gut feeling had a good run. Swarmia is engineering intelligence you can trust.

## Swarmia Reviews
 ### 1. Great Slack PR Notifications, but app.swarmia’s UI Is Hard to Navigate

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like the slack notifications regarding state of my PRs. Its probably the only feature i use a lot

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I almost never go to app.swarmia, reason being I can never find anything from there that i want. UI is just wildly confusing and unintuitive. For example i seen graph that shows categories of my PRs few times, and I could never ever find it again.

To be completely honest. I always end up quite pissed off when i try to find anything from app.swarmia.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its not really solving any problem. Its just something I get from the organization. Slack notifications are nice, so i don't have to open Github, linear or email to see the state of my PRs.

 ### 2. Intuitive Interface, Strong Integrations

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrià R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like that Swarmia is easy to use and intuitive, with a nice interface. It also allows you to see very interesting statistics and maintain integrated tracking between the different tools we use, such as Jira, GitHub, and the Slack integration. These integrations allow you to connect statistics and send centralized alerts.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to track ticket closing times and view the work log. I like how easy and intuitive it is, with a nice interface. It integrates tools like Jira, GitHub, and Slack, connecting statistics and sending centralized alerts.

 ### 3. Quick Setup and Quality Engineering Insights

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse Z. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia setup is simple. The integrations with GitHub and Jira are seamless.

Working agreements and Slack integration add value to the engineers and managers to ensure everyone knows the work in progress and strives to keep a reasonable cycle time. We agree on how long a PR should be reviewed, limit # of tickets in progress, how long it should take to merge a PR, etc.

The Insights dashboards are helpful for the manager. The Cycle Time and Deployment Frequency insights are a good combination that helps the team's overall efficiency and helps the manager track KPIs.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Some of the metrics compared to a 'previous period' are unclear.

How they manage user licenses is not flexible. Management of users/seats is by contributor to repository, so it is too tightly integrated with GitHub and a problem for monorepos where you only want to use the tool for a limited department or team.

Unwillingess to negotate prices and abruptly turning off the service.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping with our cycle time and deployment frequency.

We have drastically improved our deployment frequency since we have visibility, alerting, and awareness around our work. The deployments and cycle time dashboard along with the slack integration helps keep the work moving forward to production.

**Official Response from Pinja Dodik:**

> Thanks so much for your review, Jesse! We're happy that you've found some of the features in Swarmia value-adding and helpful.

Sorry to hear you found the terms of our free plan and trial inflexible. To clarify, our free plan is intended for startups with under 15 developers, and unfortunately we can't give it away for free for larger businesses for longer than the agreed trial period.

It looks like our Customers team has attempted to send you an email about possible options moving forward, so please let us know at hello@swarmia.com if you'd like us to resend the email.

 ### 4. Swarmia review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia Slack app for Github integration

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The occasional bugs with the Github integration

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps keep track of Github PR requests, comments and reviews

 ### 5. A wonderful compliment to Linear for those who want fine grained detail on sprint management

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia has thought the most about how to bring insights to you from your sprint management tools. It provides a wonderful integration process and great charting

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Swarmia has great out of the box charts, but may lack your customized workflow or cater to your management's needs. This isn't a reason to not purchase, but folks may want their own experience.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia provides great views and insights on sprint effectiveness

 ### 6. Looking nice at first glance, however we find ourselves in need for a lot more customisation

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

good elements of the UI, easy to go into details for a specific item

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Cycle time - how WIP is calculated: seems we need to make a change in our process to do a first commit in order to track time accurately
Cycle time - we would like to be able to easily exclude certain items from cycle time charts (i.e. 20% time tasks)

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

insights into our team's cycle time .. PR level and Jira integration level

**Official Response from Pinja Dodik:**

> Hey there, thank you so much for your feedback and sorry to hear you've been struggling with the cycle time data in Swarmia. I'll pass your feedback on to our product team now but if you don't mind, could you please also reach out to your dedicated CSM or hello@swarmia.com so we can try to help with the issues you mentioned. Thanks again!
