## About Swarmia
Swarmia is the software engineering intelligence platform that gives product and engineering leaders one place to see how their teams work, how they feel, and where the investment goes — and the tools to act on what they find. The platform is trusted by industry-leading companies of all sizes, including Lovable, Honeycomb, Engine, Bolt, and Miro. You’d never run production without monitoring. But for years, plenty of organizations ran engineering on gut feel and a few good-enough dashboards. That worked when you could keep the whole picture in your head. When AI tools are writing code faster than anyone can track by intuition, it doesn’t anymore. Swarmia brings four things together on one org structure and one data model: engineering metrics, AI adoption and impact, developer experience surveys, and software capitalization. One source of truth instead of a productivity tool, a survey tool, and a capitalization spreadsheet that never talk to each other. Most teams have rolled out Copilot, Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code, but far fewer can say what they’re getting for it. Swarmia brings every AI tool into one view — who has access, who’s using it and how, and what it costs — so you can spot unused licenses, find the teams getting real value, and connect AI spend to the work it supported. Adoption is only half the story, though. Swarmia also measures how effectively your teams turn ideas into working software with research-backed metrics, including DORA. Working agreements, automated signals, and Slack and Teams notifications turn metrics into real behavior change — not dashboards nobody checks. From there, Swarmia keeps a clear line from effort to value. You can see where engineering time is actually going, and whether your biggest projects are on track early enough to do something about it. It also makes software capitalization a few clicks instead of a quarterly fire drill, with audit-ready reports in minutes and an FTE model defensible enough for Big Four auditors. And because numbers don't tell you what it's like to work in your organization, developer experience surveys ask the questions only engineers can answer, then hand back a heatmap by team and a prioritized action plan. We believe engineering improvement happens when you fix the system people work in, not when you measure individuals harder. Most tools in this space are built top-down, for leadership reporting. Swarmia’s roots are in helping teams get better, so it's built for the people doing the work as much as the people reporting on it. Because it's transparent by design — most of the data is visible to everyone, from ICs to the CTO — engineers see it as a tool to improve their own work, not a way to be watched. The result is cross-domain insights no single-purpose tool can offer, on one platform with one setup. Your gut feeling had a good run. Swarmia is engineering intelligence you can trust.

## Swarmia Reviews
 ### 1. Feature-Rich and Easy: Swarmia Streamlines Executive Reporting with Jira + GitHub Data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda R. | Manager, IT Transformation Programs, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

We're a small business with a lean Technology team and having such a feature-rich, easy to use tool with frequent enhancements at no cost that allows us to keep a pulse on how we're doing, where we need to improve, and easily report key metrics to our executive team is tremendous. We've especially loved the new Explore Data feature to build an easy custom view we can refer back to and export for additional customization. Being able to merge the Jira and GitHub data so easily saves multiple hours per month with executive reporting. The support team and documentation have also come in clutch for us to leverage all the value the platform offers.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

We don't dislike anything about Swarmia. We're excited to see what enhancements they add next to continue reducing our time spent on engineering KPIs and making it easy to answer questions about the value our team delivers

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Executive Reporting for Tech KPIs, easy identification of bottlenecks and continuous improvement opportunities, key insights at fingertips to show our trends over time

 ### 2. Unmatched Team Visibility and Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anastasia S. | Engineering Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I love Swarmia because they truly understand how a tech department works and what is needed. They always iterate and listen to feedback, and their support is superb. I find the investment category split useful because it shows how our work is divided, and I value their DORA metrics and AI adoption features. The custom reports are handy, and I also found the initial setup to be very easy.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The surveys can be improved to be more customizable, like with scales. I'd like to move our surveys to Swarmia.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia improves the visibility of our work and helps in bottleneck detection.

 ### 3. All Team Metrics in One Place with Effortless Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brent M. | Software Development Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

All team metrics in one location between GitHub and Jira. Set up and Integration was quick and painless. Easy team configurations and even tools to narrow scope for our needs. I'm using the product every day.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I have yet to solve the separation between Dev metrics and QA metrics. I would really like to see the split between PR time in Dev vs QA. Another problem yet to solve - individual metrics. It's kind of there, but it's not quick and easy. It would be great to have a configuration tool that let me design the individual metrics I'm looking for. Very handy for annual reviews. Tagging would be nice when it comes to bugs. I'd like to see which bugs came from Productions vs UAT, etc...

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We track the time to first review, so this has been very helpful to get a visual on the metrics across each and every team. Reviewing the Trends across a timeframe has really helped me determine which team needs more attention. Greater visibility on orphaned PRs. Bug tracking and progress across time has also been helpful.

 ### 4. Centralized PR Management with Slack Integration

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saleha I. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like the Slack integration in Swarmia, especially the way it can poke you and tell what's pending and if something is waiting for attention. It's really convenient to give reactions directly from Slack. I also appreciate the instant updates on Slack and the focus on code metrics and DORA metrics.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The pricing part of Swarmia is a concern. We're thinking of switching to other tools like PulseCheckAI because those tools are way cheaper, even though they don't come close in terms of ease. But the pricing strategy is a big plus for them.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia for DORA metrics and to update developers on PR status, facilitating faster reviews and merges, centralized in Slack. It keeps deployment frequency in check and provides instant updates about code and issue metrics.

 ### 5. Streamlined Metrics with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I find Swarmia really useful because it provides metrics about our dev team and about GitHub Actions that we can't easily access anywhere else. The UI is quite nice and presents a large amount of data in a well-understandable and structured way. It's easy to find information and navigate between the different metrics. The initial setup was very easy, which was great for getting started quickly.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I think it would be nice to have metrics about developers. I know it's not good to compare, but still there would be interesting things. Like which repo has which 'implicit owners / most active developers'? or does a developer tend to implement more frontend or more backend? It's already possible today, but very difficult via filtering.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to get metrics about our dev team, providing metrics we can't easily access elsewhere. The UI is nice and makes a large amount of data comprehensible and structured. It's easy to navigate and find information among different metrics.

 ### 6. Effortless DORA Metrics, But Integration Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I really like that Swarmia provides us with DORA metrics almost for free, which I find to be a high-value tool to gauge where we stand as a tech team. Additionally, the initial setup of Swarmia was really easy.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

It's hard to connect bugs into Swarmia.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia for a high-level understanding of our tech team and direction. It helps us put numbers to feelings and provides DORA metrics almost for free, which are very valuable for gauging our standing.

 ### 7. Easy Trial & Onboarding That Quickly Showed Swarmia’s Value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

The trial & onboarding experience made it easy to see what value we would get out of adopting Swarmia. A lot of useful data started to populate just by sharing access to our development tools, and there were workflows to help us identify and correct misaligned data.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

We want to keep our existing development tools as the source of truth, but Swarmia also wants to be the source of truth, so it can be confusing where to make categorization adjustments. It can be tedious to skip past Swarmia's own view of a work item, to get to our existing ticketing system's view.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted a data-driven way to iterate on our developer velocity, and compare our progress to industry cohorts. Swarmia steered us toward a set of metrics that quickly highlighted where our process bottlenecks are. We can also track our AI tool adoption rates and successes. Lastly, we use it to accelerate time-consuming capitalization bookkeeping.

 ### 8. Empowers Engineering Teams with Actionable Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Konstantin T.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like the clarity of Swarmia's dashboards and the focus on trends rather than raw numbers, which makes the data actionable without micromanagement. It's easy to find bottlenecks in processes and recognize patterns, which helps in having more objective conversations with the team based on data. The data is also useful at a leadership level. Additionally, I appreciate that the initial setup was quite easy.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The level of customization could be more flexible, so there's some space for improvement. Also, the pricing model is tightly tied to GitHub seats, even though not all users in the GitHub organization necessarily require analytics (to be tracked). It would be helpful to have more flexibility around integrations customization

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to analyze engineering team performance and health, solving limited visibility with clear metrics and trends. It helps find process bottlenecks, patterns, and fosters data-driven team discussions.

 ### 9. The swarmia metrics are nice but automation is a high upkeep

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

not a great deal. it hasnt improved on too many of my core features in a while

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

recheck their roadmap and move with the times. there are a lot of AI improvemens that could be considered

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main use is categorizing and keeping track on our PR metrics. I also like the Jira integration but our company has used swarmia for so long that there is a huge cleanup job needed in order to update and remove hundreds oof archived projects and renew them

 ### 10. Streamlined Developer Workflow, Easy Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aidan L.

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like how easy it was to set up Swarmia. It's great that it offers a good list of presets, which helps us know what to focus on weekly. This feature gives our developers a top of mind focus and helps us collectively try and hit our goals for the next week. Additionally, using Swarmia, we're able to measure cycle time better, see when pull requests and issues are over the time limits, and use the agreements feature. These aspects have helped us improve our cycle time and, in turn, our development velocity.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

We do mobile app development, and it's not completely clear what we should focus on. Dora somewhat works, but due to the review times and release and deployment times, it's not necessarily the best metric. I'm still working out what the best metrics are for mobile app development, and Swarmia could better guide me in that process.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to connect better with GitHub and create developer agreements, improving our cycle time and development velocity. It helps measure cycle time, track pull request durations, and line of code use, enhancing team collaboration and efficiency.

 ### 11. Comprehensive Insights with Clear UI and Slack Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tõnis P.

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like Swarmia's clear UI, which helps me understand at a glance and removes hurdles by showing me the numbers I'm interested in. The charts and explanations are clear, and the documentation is helpful when I want to dig deeper. I also appreciate the good Slack notifications that help me stay on top of what's going on in GitHub, especially for tracking PR reviews and comments. The initial setup was quite easy, just logging in and configuring access.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

We'd like to be able to configure custom GitHub actions for deployments. We have a specific GitHub action we use for deploys, so every run of that action means a deploy. That would mean easier configuration of deployments for us.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to get a quick overview of PR velocity and cycle times. It helps catch issues early or recognize acceleration. The clear UI simplifies tracking DORA metrics and Slack notifications keep me updated on GitHub activity.

 ### 12. User-Friendly with Strong Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like Swarmia's UI and how easy it is to navigate through the metrics. The connections to our tools are great and it's very easy to set up, especially the way we were able to connect to GitHub and JIRA. I also appreciate the free tier.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I'm missing a feature or metric to really understand code review behaviors. I'd like to see which developers are commenting on other teammates' pull requests, to see who is reviewing whom more. It would also be helpful to know for a specific developer which other developer they tend to review.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to check GitHub metrics, understanding team patterns and behaviors around code and work.

 ### 13. Best in class

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leo T. | Fractional CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Out the box DORA metrics. Easy setup. Opinionated but flexible.

As a CTO it allowed me to get all the metrics without much time commitment.

Setup took less than half an hour. And then it just started working.

Developers have loved it - it hasn't got in their way, but provided helpful insights that they've taken on board.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The only small issue that I've come across was around adding other users to view dashboards.

I set things up using Github accounts - which seemed intuitive. Yet the CEO and product manager don't have a Github account, so they aren't able to log in and view dashboards.

Swarmia do have the ability to convert users to Google auth - so they've solved this problem. But this was the only point of friction that I experienced.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatically tracking DORA metrics. Which help understand how the development team is actually functioning.

DORA metrics were what brought me to the platform - but since using it I've discovered many features, dashboards and metrics that I've found incredibly helpful in managing the engineering team.

 ### 14. Eases Engineering Metrics but Needs More Customization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Can A.

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I use Swarmia to track the engineering team metrics like cycle time, AI adoption, and PR review cycle. I appreciate that Swarmia proactively fetches data from Linear and GitHub, making it visible for engineering managers like me. I also like the smooth user experience, nice UI, and having one single dashboard. The initial setup was easy, just add GitHub, add Slack, and done.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Customization is super limited. Swarmia provides certain data points, and that's all. I don't know how to combine them to create dashboards focused on the items I want to see.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia fetches data from Linear and GitHub, making engineering metrics like cycle time and PR review cycles visible to managers. It compensates for Linear's lack of customizable statistics.

 ### 15. Intuitive Interface, Strong Integrations

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like that Swarmia is easy to use and intuitive, with a nice interface. It also allows you to see very interesting statistics and maintain integrated tracking between the different tools we use, such as Jira, GitHub, and the Slack integration. These integrations allow you to connect statistics and send centralized alerts.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to track ticket closing times and view the work log. I like how easy and intuitive it is, with a nice interface. It integrates tools like Jira, GitHub, and Slack, connecting statistics and sending centralized alerts.

 ### 16. So quick and easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John T. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

The onboarding experience is well guided and takes a lot of the guess work out of setting something like this up. Especially the integrations with the various engineering tools to bring all the data into the one place.

The implementation was straight forward and provided a large number of insights out of the box.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

There are some defaults that Swarmia don't make obvious, so it was a little tricky identifying areas in our CI/CD that are custom, where we could improve the process to help the tool work better for us. Not a massive issue, we just wanted to get the most out of Swarmia and when the initial numbers didn't look right, we had to track it down within our pipeline manually to find the discrepancies.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping us identify inefficiencies in our development processes and providing insights into the health of our delivery pipeline.

 ### 17. Intuitive UI with Actionable Developer Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack W.

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I really like the user interface of Swarmia; it's incredibly intuitive and easy to navigate. This greatly enhances my experience, ensuring that accessing the necessary features is straightforward and efficient. The insights provided by Swarmia are highly beneficial and actionable, significantly aiding my team in improving our performance metrics. I find these insights particularly valuable as they enable us to actively enhance our team's capabilities and posture. Additionally, I appreciate that the initial setup of Swarmia was very easy, saving us time and effort in integrating this tool into our workflow. The fact that Swarmia provides most of the insights we need without requiring additional tools is another aspect I appreciate, adding to its functionality and utility for us.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I'm disappointed that Swarmia is missing the MTTR (Mean Time to Recovery) metric stats from an incident management perspective. Ideally, these metrics should be based on data from tools like PagerDuty, where the time to recovery would accurately reflect how long it takes us to recover from incidents. Additionally, I would like to see comparisons with industry benchmarks for DORA metrics to understand if our team's metrics are categorized as Low, Medium, High, or Elite. These enhancements would provide more comprehensive and valuable insights.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia for valuable and actionable developer insights that help our team improve. It provides necessary metrics, making insights easy to follow, although MTTR stats and industry comparisons would enhance its effectiveness.

 ### 18. Customized Notifications Enhance Team Focus

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim R.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like Swarmia because I can get notifications that I actually care about, which is really useful for focusing on my team.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I want the ability to receive notifications for specific individuals or other teams, rather than having to turn it on for a whole team. For instance, if I'm mentoring someone on a different team, I want to know when they open up a PR, but I can't do that with Swarmia right now.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia lets me focus on the PRs that matter by giving me control over notifications, solving GitHub’s lack of granular settings. It's useful for muting team-level notifications and focusing on individual ones.

 ### 19. Easy Setup, Needs Clearer Metrics

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giulio V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I use Swarmia to look at my metrics like pull requests open, commits done, and cycle time. It helps me understand how long a pull request is open so that I can avoid it staying open for too long. The initial setup of Swarmia was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Sometimes it's not so clear how Swarmia estimates some metrics. I would appreciate it if it would be clearer how some metrics are computed.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to look at metrics like pull request open time, which helps me avoid keeping requests open too long.

 ### 20. Improved visibility and team performance with Swarmia

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katarzyna I. | Agile Project Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia gives me full visibility into the development process without micromanaging. I particularly value metrics like Flow Efficiency, Cycle Time, and Focus Summary, which help us track productivity trends and identify bottlenecks. The ability to group work by initiatives and use granular filters (such as issue type, label, or assignee) lets me tailor reports to the needs of different stakeholders. I also appreciate how Swarmia highlights things like scope creep or delivery interruptions, so I can proactively address issues with the team or client. For me, the tool is intuitive and provides just the right amount of actionable insight without overwhelming me with data.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Sometimes, Swarmia classifies scope changes (like adding a small bug fix during review) as scope creep, which can be misleading. I’d love to see more flexibility in how these events are categorized or allow us to mark some changes as “minor.”

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia helps me bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders by providing clear, visualized data on team performance, delivery speed, and productivity. It solves the problem of low visibility into team workflows and enables me to monitor risks like scope creep, delivery interruptions, or stalled items without relying on developers to report it manually. It also supports data-driven conversations with both clients and the team, improving alignment and trust. Thanks to Swarmia, I can spot blockers early, plan better, and bring more transparency into the development process – even when managing multiple teams or projects simultaneously.

 ### 21. Intuitive UI with Great Team Visibility

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna C.

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I find Swarmia to be super intuitive and visually appealing with its colorful interface. I am particularly impressed with the great filters and the ease of navigation between different teams and individual contributors. This makes managing timelines across weeks and months extremely convenient. I am a huge fan of the user interface, which significantly enhances my user experience. Swarmia also provides valuable visibility both on the team level and personally. It allows me to see how the team is aligned with deadlines and goals, which is incredibly helpful for keeping track of our progress.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Although I'm generally very satisfied with Swarmia's functionality, I find it can be slow when dealing with larger amounts of data.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia enhances team and personal visibility, helping align deadlines and goals effectively. It provides intuitive navigation with great filters, making it easy to track progress across different timelines.

 ### 22. Intuitive Platform with Comprehensive Metrics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristjan H. | Engineering Manager, Cloud SRE

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I find Swarmia incredibly valuable for gathering my team's metrics, such as work deliveries, initiatives, and developer surveys. It offers me ease of access to my team members' deliverables and provides a comprehensive view of how many pull requests they review, create, or close. This consolidated view significantly reduces the time I would otherwise spend manually collecting this information. Swarmia is very intuitive and boasts a thought-through design, making it easy to use and navigate. Logging in through Okta was seamless and required no complicated setup process. Overall, the platform facilitates efficiency and transparency in monitoring and managing team metrics.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Team based time classifications could be improved. Every team might have their own method of choosing what values they deliver. Moreover, Swarmia could benefit from integrations with more tools, such as on-call shift tools.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia provides a comprehensive view into my team's work, simplifying access to metrics on deliverables and pull requests, saving hours otherwise spent consolidating data.

 ### 23. Masterful PR Management with Swarmia

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simar S.

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I use Swarmia for managing GitHub PRs for our team, and I appreciate its centralized location for this task. While GitHub provides a lot of tools, it can seem like it does a lot without being a master at managing PRs, whereas Swarmia excels in this area. I like being able to see all the stats about the PRs, which helps us manage expectations during retro meetings. Additionally, the initial setup of Swarmia was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Nothing

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia fills the gap GitHub has by providing deep insights on team PRs and acts as a centralized hub for managing them, which helps in retrospective meetings to manage expectations.

 ### 24. Insightful AI Features, Effortless Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas T. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like the new AI overview features, as they give great insights on how GitHub Copilot is used in my team. It helped me identify a lack of engagement with Copilot Cloud and encouraged the team to try it more. The initial setup of Swarmia was easy.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I would like visibility on why some pull requests are taking a long time, like whether it's due to unclear requirements.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia for monitoring development experience and DORA metrics, gaining visibility on pull request performance and AI use, which helps in identifying and encouraging more engagement with tools like GitHub Copilot.

 ### 25. Easy Setup with Insightful Data at a Glance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam M. | Chief Systems Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

easy to set up, insightful data presented

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

not so much a dislike but I would like to see more ways to populate different (custom) activity types via API. some of the work of the system engineer is not visible as it's done by a ticket system.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing and optimizing the throughput of the team as well as the integration of the team members' efforts. Who is active doing what and when.

I have been able to confirm my suspicions/perception that one engineer in particular has not been producing much output.

 ### 26. Exceptional Tool for Team Insights and Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert M.

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I really appreciate Swarmia for its ability to provide comprehensive insights into team collaboration and performance metrics. Over the past six months, it has become an indispensable tool to evaluate key performance indicators for the teams I manage. It's particularly useful for understanding pull request times and tracking the direction of team efforts, as well as seeing the adoption of tools like Cursor. Swarmia's focus on team-based trends rather than micromanagement aligns perfectly with my need to assess collaborative efforts and their outcomes. I am impressed by its capacity to deliver insights on a team level, rather than just individual metrics, which helps me as a CTO to report back on team contributions without the need to manually track developers’ work on various tickets. The recent release of the FTE tracking feature stands out, allowing me to retrospectively view time spent on specific tasks and understand staff efforts more effectively. Furthermore, the tool's setup was straightforward for someone familiar with GitHub, and its integration with platforms like GitHub and Jira enhances its utility. Swarmia's remarkable performance in solving a variety of problems related to team reporting and curiosity about team dynamics ensures I am confident in recommending it with a perfect score.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I find the user onboarding process for developers challenging. When I invite new developers, they often do not understand what Swarmia is for and what we can accomplish with it. The initial instructions or introduction is unclear, which makes it hard for them to grasp how to proceed. The lack of a clear, initial invitation process exacerbates this issue, especially if the invitee is not part of the GitHub organization, as it prevents them from logging in. Additionally, it would be more convenient if involvement in the GitHub organization was not a requirement because I have many external contributors for different branches, which complicates managing access. Currently, I have to add all developers to the organization, which is not ideal.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia helps me monitor team collaboration, pull request efficiency, and task tracking without burdening developers. It provides insights for better team management and reporting, especially useful for tracking time and effort spent on tasks, which aids in stakeholder reporting.

 ### 27. A great tool for identifying trends within our small team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia has been useful both within our engineering team as well as across the wider business, giving us useful metrics with which to frame our productivity and efficiency. We utilise the Categorisation and DORA metrics extensively. It is also great when engineers are onboarding as we can monitor their fit with the rest of the engineering team. It also allows us to spot problems in our engineering workflow.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Must be careful not to be too metric focused, which is a drawback of any tool like this. Categorisation is very useful, but it has taken us a while to find the right filters based on how we use Linear to get everything categorised correctly. Sometimes to find the data you need it can require a bunch of clicking around drilling down into menus.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DORA metrics for our overall engineering team health.
Investment balance to guide our tech & product alignment on tech debt vs feature development.
Monitoring new hires to see their fit with the engineering team norms and guide our feedback to address any areas of improvement.

 ### 28. Enhances Team Performance with Transparency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Graham M.

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like Swarmia's integration with Slack, which keeps our team informed on pull request reviews and issues. This helps us decrease time to review and ultimately increase our velocity. The transparency in metrics is also great as it allows us to see where we perform well and decide where we can improve as a team.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

A more fully-featured Issues feature could let us integrate Swarmia more into our workflow. Tighter integration with other platforms, e.g. Linear for issues tracking more incorporated into Swarmia.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to track software development metrics and integrate with Slack for transparency. It helps us see team performance, identify areas to improve, and reduces review time to increase overall velocity.

 ### 29. Transparent Team Progress Tracking Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lakshmi K. | Program Manager I, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like being able to track the team’s progress transparently, and the platform is easy to use—especially when logging in for the first time.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I cannot custom set the targets for each team according to the goal defined for the year.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is helping in clearing long pending items that the team has not been working upon and not required by anyone. This also helps in freeing up team capacity to review and act on next best features.

 ### 30. Rich Development Stats with Handy Links to All Our Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

It provides many and varied statistics about or development process and links to all of our tools

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

It is unclear about how the statistics change when team members change - or you have to keep team members in when you want to report on them even though they have left?

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is providing us insights into our blockers, slow-downs and accelerators including AI enablement

 ### 31. Great Working Agreements and a Useful Daily Digest in Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

The working agreements is a great addition. The daily digest in Teams chat is also very useful.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Current limitation on tracking bottlenecks in more specific steps in the development cycle, like the testing activites.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the daily digest, the team is aware of what they should focus on. This is also great help for the scrum master.

 ### 32. Easy-to-Use GitHub Notifications with Clear Team Trends

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Notifications for GitHub activity, the ability to see team trends, and overall ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The user interface can feel a bit overwhelming, since there’s a lot going on at once.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitHub notifications are generally pretty bad, and Swarmia helps me stay on top of reviews, comments, and other activity in our GitHub space. The digest reports are also a really nice way to quickly see what’s been going on.

 ### 33. Great work agreements and Slack alerts, but task/PR risk visibility needs work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

The work agreements and daily slack alerts

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

On the interface, it's hard to see what are the tasks/PRs that are about to violate a working agreement, that's for the time based ones

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to get the team focus on the big picture, and avoid tasks from falling between the cracks

 ### 34. Intuitive UI, Fast Data Loads, and Easy Jira Epic Follow-Ups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

It’s easy to follow up on Jira epics (which we use for project follow-up). I also find the UI quite intuitive. The response time when Swarmia loads the data it needs is really good.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The weak point of swarmia is that the board in which appears the pull request is quite toxic. Not all the work you do is shown in the work load pannel

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The projects, epics, and follow-up are extremely good.

 ### 35. Great tool for quick dev team metrics. Opinionated. Easy to set up, Integrations worked smoothly.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew R. | Director of Product Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like the ease of setup and the Working Agreements. I have not seen a feature like working agreements in other competitors we've tried. And the investment balance has become critical for reporting useful statistics to my executive team.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

There are LOTS of features. It's difficult to know where to start when looking at all the possible data insights. I think a guided set up based on the problems my team is trying to solve would be useful to point in the direction of the useful data.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to identify leading indicators for risky releases: large pull requests, release complexity, lazy code reviews, etc. I also need to report work investment breakdown metrics to my executive team.

 ### 36. Excellent Metrics and Engineering Surveys

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

The metrics and the engineering surveys!

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The UI is a bit overwhelming and it's difficult to understand what it does in the beginning

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Slack notifications and CI/CD times

 ### 37. Simplified Metric Graphs Make Data Easy to Interpret

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Displays metrics in a simplified graph so it's easy to interpret the data.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Can't really say. I mainly only use one or two dashboards so I haven't used a lot of the other features.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it during retros to reflect on how the last sprint went. It helps us surface potential issues when velocity is down and gives quantitative results when we try new processes to see if they're working or not.

 ### 38. Swarmia simplifies visibility and metrics in our engineering teams

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerard C. | Head of platform development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia is very easy to set up and provides great visibility into engineering work. I especially appreciate how quickly I can access meaningful metrics across teams, like sprint progress, uncategorized work, and focus areas. It makes it much easier to have productive conversations and spot trends early.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Some features feel a bit unreliable — for example, the sprint view sometimes misses relevant data. Also, it’s not possible to filter key metrics like cycle time or story points at the individual contributor level, which would be useful in some contexts like 1:1s or coaching.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia helps me get real-time visibility into the progress and health of development work across teams. It solves the problem of scattered or unclear data by consolidating metrics like sprint progress, work categorization, cycle time, and focus areas in one place. This allows me to support the teams more effectively, identify blockers early, and have more informed and objective 1:1s and retrospectives.

 ### 39. Efficient Team Performance Tracking with Swarmia

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexey B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I use Swarmia to track team performance and spot unplanned work. I like the good categorization of work performed by my team with helpful metrics and notifications. The feature I appreciate most is the auto-categorization of commits. I generally find it works great, and I integrate it seamlessly with tools like Slack, GitHub, and Linear.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I haven’t found anything to dislike about it

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Swarmia to track team performance and identify shadow unplanned work. It provides good categorization of work, metrics, and notifications.

 ### 40. My experience with Swarmia has been positive , it has allowed me to stay efficient.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishi P. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like that Swarmia provides information about the time/metrics it takes for certain processes to take place. It really allows you to stay onto of things other than make sure all PR/process are being performed efficiently and correctly.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Downsides are it may not taken into account some life cycle for a task, as it may not understand the complexity of a task and assume it has taken too long for it to be completed.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Effect PR times
- Making sure tasks are linked and not left open
- Review sprint work completed efficiently.

 ### 41. Awesome development teams analytics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raúl L. | Software Engineer and Chief of Frontend Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia is easy to connect to tools you are probably already using, like Jira and your Github organization account.
Everything feels fresh, good looking and, though there are many metrics and graphs, quite easy to get along.
It has quickly become my main hub to check pending PRs, the work focus for each member of the team and follow up on the targets that we as a team have agreed upon.
It's also great to show and share with our managers, so they can have a glance of how good the development team is performing and improving.
The customer service was also really helpful, and they have answered my questions and are taking my feedback into account.
Last, but not least, we are currently a small development of just 5 members, though we might hire 1 or 2 more in the following months.
Swarmia has a free plan for up to 9 developers, with no restrictions on the available features, so even though I don't consider it expensive on the paid plans, for us right now is a no brainer, no excuses to try it out.

2025 update: I wanted to share that after almost 2 years using Swarmia on a daily basis, it's become our main tool for managing the developers and teams quality of work, identify issues and promote improvements for our own processes. I highly recommend giving it a try, as I don't want to imagine my worklife now if I were to lose this tool.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I just found a few pain points while using Swarmia:

- Right now I cannot see completed tasks by user, only task creation. The done tasks are only shown by team.
2025 update: this was solved by the dev team a while back, a few weeks after my suggestion, so it is no longer a problem!

- It needs an existing PR to show the ongoing commits, so until the PR gets created there can be days where a given developer seems to be doing nothing.

- It requires a bit of a mental and working shift, as it works best if your team follows their recommendations, which admittedly is kind of the point of their promised improvement, but still can cause some friction to some people.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are now capable to better track our team improvement goals, analyse possible problems and points of improvement, and also easily show the managers how the team is doing.

 ### 42. Impact on team efficiency in just three weeks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric . | Product Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

- Swarmia measures real work
- Aligned with agile way of working
- Easy to get adoption among collegues
- Easy to follow and to drive change
- Relevant metrics and recommendations

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

- Would be awesome to get an easy action management connected to the agreements for the team. Like a palce for team retrospectives

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- No measuring the right things
- Not talking about teams way of working
- Not identifying organizational problems
- Low engagement within the teams in driving change

**Official Response from Pinja Dodik:**

> Thanks so much for the feedback and kind words, Eric! We've logged your idea for a "team retrospective" page, which does sound great. 😊

 ### 43. Swarmia provides valuable metrics for me and my team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roy B. | Product Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia provides nice insights in how the team is working. This is always great input for our retrospective sessions, to see where there is still room for improvement or if there are any bottlenecks in our way of working.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

You have to adapt your way of working to be able to make good use of all metrices. And when looking to the cycle time metrics, I miss the option to define non working days, as this now can give higher numbers if a story is just picked up right before the weekend, or a national holiday.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Swarmia we didn't have any insights in the activities or contribution of team members in our sprint, besides stories on the backlog and updates in stand-ups.
With Swarmia this becomes transparent and is a valuable source of input to start discussions with the team or individual team members.

 ### 44. Great Graphs, Smooth Overall Experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

The graphs are really usefull to get insights

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

not really anything. It is a great tool for me

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Metrics about PR's

 ### 45. Love the Metrics — A Few Tweaks Would Make It Perfect

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Simplifies the visualization and interpretation of Jira and GitHub data, helping identify bottlenecks and snowball effects within a sprint.
I like the way the data is visualized in easy-to-read graphs and the good range of metrics it provides.
Generally, I use it a few times per sprint to check my own performance and my team’s performance.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Some things are a bit trickier to understand, and certain metrics are buried in menus, which can make them a bit difficult to find.
It would be great to have a way to review sprint performance based on team capacity. I also really like the custom filter feature in Jira — it would be nice to have something similar in Swarmia. (If this already exists and I just didn’t find it, my apologies!)

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia helps me visualize and interpret data from Jira and GitHub in a clear and actionable way. This makes it easier to identify bottlenecks and “snowball” issues within a sprint, so I can address them early. The metrics and visualizations help me and my team stay aware of our performance, spot trends, and make more informed decisions about our workflows. Overall, it supports better sprint planning and helps us continuously improve how we work.

 ### 46. Helps me and our team work better and stay focused and monitor the activities.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shyam B. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia makes it really easy to see how our engineering team is doing. It connects with GitHub, Jira, and Slack without much setup and gives helpful insights like how long tasks take, Cycle times, pull requests, review rates, and each person's work logs. It's clean and simple to use and helps us spot things that might slow us down before they become bigger problems. Also from replying and managing PRs from Slack is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

It would be nice if the dashboards were a bit more customizable, especially for teams that don't follow the standard workflows. Also, It would be good if there were a comparison dashboard for my individual performance like previous month to current month or something similar.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia helps us understand how our team is working and where we can improve. We use it to track things like pull request cycle time, work in progress, and how quickly we're shipping. It gives us a clear picture of team health without needing to dig into raw data. This helps us have better planning conversations, avoid burnout, and keep work moving smoothly.

 ### 47. Swarmia pros and cons

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

It provides detail information about story velocity, tracking tasks, stories and epics

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Couldn't find useful visualizations for Kanban like these made for the Sprints

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides visibility on the tasks/stories connected to PRs and the ones that are missing PRs.

 ### 48. Good tool for seeing the progress of several teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Toivo V. | Manager, Engineering Productivity, Agile Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia helps me see trends and a view across several teams. In my role I want to understand which teams are performing and why. And then help other teams learn from those. Swarmia shows me how topics progress in JIRA and how the pyll-requests flow in GitHub. Lately we have even gained better visibility to the DORA metrics. Swarmia saves us time and we don't need to crunch the numbers ourselves.

For individual teams and developers Swarmia offers notifications and daily digests that help them stay connected.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

I would like to have better access to the API. Many times I have several queries and I'd like to get the results into a sheet. There could be easier ways to do this.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia offers us visibility to team performance metrics. Same could be achieved by combining information from different sources, but Swarmia does it so well that we do not need to do it ourselves. It saves us time.

 ### 49. Swarmia offer data and isight both relevant for the teams and for the leaders

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefano I. | Head of Engineering, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

Swarmia offer immediate and instant visibility over DORA metrics. These are relevant at the team level and simplify the activity of collecting them and organise them in a single place. Those metrics can trigger valuable conversation for the team. At the same time, Swarmia offer data relevant for the leaders, like investment balance or FTE cost, which help to validate intentions and assumptions related to the strategic direction an organisation is taking. The team is very supportive and ready to explain and to help. The onboarding with them was effective, so the UX.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

Use cases like a developer changing a team could be better managed. I know they are working on an integration with incident.io that could improve the visibility and analysis of the KTLO data.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Swarmia is helping me to have visibility over the investment balance and to analyse how we invest our capacity. Those data are the starting point of conversations related to planning and capacity allocation. Another usage is the review of the effort spent on initiatives: we are trying to use it to compare our intial plan and estimations with the actual execution. Finally it represent a powerful way to encourage teams to review DORA metrics and improve their internal processes.

 ### 50. Visibility in one place

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edgar M. | Platform and Security Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Swarmia?**

I like the visibility in general. It's easy to navigate and see metrics that we can share with our engineers. Additionally, the infrastructure tab makes a lot easier to see the deployments and the CI jobs that allow use to determinate if the CI jobs are working as expected or we need to take action on them. The integrations.

**What do you dislike about Swarmia?**

The deployments integration with Github was confusing. We discovered later that you already have a Github action for that.

**What problems is Swarmia solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Metrics and visibility of our Software Development team. Now, the infrastructure visibility specially the CI Visibility (Github is pretty bad at it).
