I like the fact that everything is visible, from the header to the logo and all the words and information included; it's really UX friendly. Swapcard was much better integrated than what PCMA previously used. I liked that it updated in real timr so when sessions were over you did not have to continually scroll through to find more sessions, but that you could toggle the past sessions back for reference after it was over for reference. Some sessions were missing key details, like vital directions. I assumed the conference center would provide that information, but for example, when I was trying to find a session in Terrace 4, I ended up having to ask three people (who weren’t easy to find, and two of them had no idea) where it was because the app didn’t have an embedded map. If it isn’t possible to include a map, the app could at least add clearer location notes, such as stating that Terrace 4 is on the top floor of the convention center. I have been using Swapcard for about four years and extensively at various expos, including the PCMA EMEA and PCMA convening leaders, which are part of the broader event and business ecosystem. I just needed to add a profile photo, my social media URLs, and a bit about my bio, which was easy to manage. I also appreciate how modular Swapcard is, allowing integration with other APIs like SlapSite, and external services such as Spotify and Google Maps, which enhances the overall experience. Furthermore, Swapcard is very user-friendly and familiar, which is likely because many providers use it, making it straightforward and snappy to use. I find it challenging to achieve proper networking with Swapcard, as it primarily assists in identifying who is on the attendee list and the sessions they are attending. However, its usefulness diminishes when it comes to actual communication and discussion with attendees inside or outside the app. The platform does not adequately support these networking interactions, and exporting attendee lists is cumbersome. Currently, one can only export attendee information after a friend request is accepted, which is not ideal for everyone as the app might not be used for this purpose by all users. It would be beneficial if Swapcard allowed filtering attendees by industry, or whether they are a buyer or exhibitor, and enabled exporting based on these criteria for seamless integration with CRM systems.
