Fast, Browser-Based Icon Conversion with Batch Processing and Multi-Colour SVGs **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026 **What do you like best about SVGsmith?** The best thing I like about this SVGsmith platform is that it is quick in converting PNGs, JPEGs, and PDF files into clean SVG icons without needing much of a complex design software or designing skills. I also like that it is a browser-based support batch processing, extract multi-colour icon-based platform, and is also positioned for FileMaker-compatible SVG output. Their batch processing feature is very helpful when working with multiple icons at the same time. Instead of converting files one by one, I can process several images together. Overall, it saves me time as well, where I can get the final SVG output closer to the original design instead of becoming a basic single colour icon. Their integration feature is also very wide, making it easier to integrate with multiple platforms. Their UI design is clean and intutitve as well. **What do you dislike about SVGsmith?** This platform is very useful for conversion, but it's not a complete vector design or editing platform if someone wants to run advanced editing, custom illustration work or detailed design control. This platform might feel a bit limited when compared with other core design platforms such as Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW. Another aspect is that this platform features seem very focused on FileMaker-oriented developers and icon conversion use cases only. This is good for its target user, but it is a bit limited for general designers who need broader creative features. Their pricing package can be made a bit less when compared with the other platforms out there in this space. **What problems is SVGsmith solving and how is that benefiting you?** This platform addresses the issue of manually converting basic formatted images into clean SVG icons. This kind of work usually would require a software designer, and manual tracking or technical editing of SVG files is required and complex. This platform also processes the files faster by allowing users to upload PNG, JPEG or even PDF files, and helps us by optimising icons directly from the browser. Overall, this benefit is achieved by saving time, reducing dependency on complex tools and making icon preparation, which is easier for the development of our application interface.
