## About SUSE Virtualization
What is SUSE Virtualization? SUSE Virtualization is a modern, Kubernetes-native alternative to traditional hypervisors. Built on KubeVirt and running directly on bare metal, it enables you to manage virtual machines and integrated storage without the legacy overhead or complex licensing of conventional virtualization platforms. SUSE Virtualization provides full VM lifecycle management, distributed storage, and deep integration with SUSE Rancher Prime. Powered by Kubernetes and KubeVirt under the hood, it delivers a simplified experience - no Kubernetes knowledge required. Why teams use SUSE Virtualization Modern virtualization without the bloat: Manage VMs with built-in backup, restore, live migration, templates, cloud-init, and more. You get all the core features without based on a great open source stack and enterprise support. Kubernetes-powered, but easy to use: Built on Kubernetes, and you don’t need to know Kubernetes to use it. Administrators can work in a clean, VM-focused UI and still benefit from cloud-native architecture. Integrated with Rancher: Seamless multi-cluster management with SUSE Rancher, including unified authentication, centralized monitoring, and orchestration across both virtualized and containerized workloads. What you get Bare metal HCI platform: Installs directly on bare metal hardware, combining compute, storage, and networking in one unified solution. Enterprise VM capabilities: Live migration, snapshot and restore, PXE/iPXE boot, multiple NICs, cloud-init, SSH-key injection, graphical and serial consoles. Built-in storage: Distributed block storage through SUSE Storage with support for tiering, redundancy, and scaling across nodes. Thirdparty certified storage: SUSE Virtualization supports a wide range of certified third-party storage solutions, allowing you to leverage existing infrastructure without sacrificing compatibility or performance. Multi-tenant networking: VLAN support, virtual IPs, NIC bonding, and flexible network configurations per VM. Who it’s for Ideal for DevOps and platform teams, SUSE Virtualization brings cloud-native principles to virtualization—enabling you to manage VMs and containers side by side from a single, streamlined interface without added complexity. SUSE Virtualization is designed for organizations ready to break free from costly, legacy virtualization stacks. Whether you're modernizing infrastructure, managing workloads at the edge, or unifying VMs and containers, it offers the simplicity and flexibility to move forward with confidence.

## SUSE Virtualization Reviews
 ### 1. Suse Virtualization a complete virtualization solution growing fast

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gilles M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about SUSE Virtualization?**

Suse Virtualization is very simple to install, has great compatibility, open source, has the good features.

**What do you dislike about SUSE Virtualization?**

The UI is a bit slow, compatibility matrix with hardware not clear. Roadmap not clear. Custommer support on Windows based Virtual machines is not as good and responsive than on linux. Missing some key cyber features.

**What problems is SUSE Virtualization solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Suse Virtualization is a good solution to replace VMware on our use cases, more light than other solution with a very good integration of open sources products.

**Official Response from Huw Wigley:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're working hard to improve SUSE Virtualization and hope you'll see the benefits.

 ### 2. Containers and Virtual Machines on hand

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about SUSE Virtualization?**

Open Source all-in-one solution for your kubernetes, virtualization and cloud needs

**What do you dislike about SUSE Virtualization?**

I don't dislike anything, but for a lab setup you do need reasonable hardware (cpu cores and RAM).

**What problems is SUSE Virtualization solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One setup to perform all my container and virtualization needs.
