## SUSE Multi-Linux Manager Reviews
  ### 1. Mangment & Orchestration tool for Linux platforms

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhammad Ammar S. | Zones Cloud Specialist-Data Center Transformation , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about SUSE Multi-Linux Manager?**

It's good for managing the Linux operating systems, its salt management tools support multiple flavors like RedHat, Cent OS and even Ubuntu (Debian based).
Most of the orchestration tools are limited to their specific distribution only (mostly their own). Still, the Suse's Manager can deal with a variety of distributions like suse , ubuntu etc.

**What do you dislike about SUSE Multi-Linux Manager?**

Doesnt supports cloud public cloud-native integrations. You have to use it as BYOL in market place. Such as in Azure you have to use the suse image from the marketplace and then have to install it in the same VPC.
Also, it would be good if it has some competitor features like well-architected reviews and security assessments.

**What problems is SUSE Multi-Linux Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orchestration and management of multiple distributions in a physical datcenter. Eliminating the need to access different OS and install the patches and software updates separately.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2021

**What do you like best about SUSE Multi-Linux Manager?**

Being able to update ESRS version in the GUI easily. Check SP's along with the network configurations.

Had to build one of these completely by scratch because the previous one that I had used crashed couldnt call home to Dell EMC.

I like being able to see the current version running, most up to date version avaialble.
Get to check all 3 san's from one console, that shows me the SP IP addresses, console IP addresses, regardless of the located at.

**What do you dislike about SUSE Multi-Linux Manager?**

Setting and building the server. The initial setup is very tricky and can be a confusing set up.

Dell EMC typically doesn't provide a lot of support when the server stops communicating to Dell EMC

When logs and calls to home are not working, it can take a while to assess why alerts are not going to EMC.

Often manual tickets still need to be created when issues arise.

**What problems is SUSE Multi-Linux Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major benefit is that when Dell EMC SAN appliances experience hardware or software issues arise, manual tickets do not need to be generated because the information that is needed for analysis is sent to dell EMC.

Alerts can be sent to on-call staff 24/7/365.
