Such support guarantees performance and stability that can hardly be matched by other Linux distros with the same resources. It's certainly a great choice for corporate use, but it's still not as commonly used in my region as many of the regional market leaders. **What do you dislike about SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop?** The fact that it is a version focused on the corporate market does not mean that it should have an outdated interface or a software library that is more difficult to access than other Linux distros. In fact, what really made us not implement SUSE Linux was the fact that other distros, which also meet our needs, have a more active community in our region, our team's experience with other distros and the ease of finding professionals to manage and maintain our devices. Another point is that SUSE Linux and SUSE Linux Server work very well with solutions, such as ERP software, that we don't use, and therefore, the great performance of this Linux distro is not necessary for our systems. As said before, SUSE is a great solution with great performance and stability. I need and like an os that is simple, reliable, secure and professional for my daily work on my laptop. OpenSUSE (Leap 42.1, Gnome) has been all that and almost out the box from the install. And with Secure boot and hibernation, which most distros don't care about ! So you were ssh'd in to the box via port 22, but the default firewall settings blocked port 22? I must say I find that really quite hilarious!
