Security and stability is always the most important thing in the company to take care of the data, this system is open source and system experts can review any problems that arise or add their own functions. With SUSE we have a secure Internet connection with integrated VPN in the system and antivirus, I know that Linux is safe against all viruses but we share content and files with clients that use Windows operating system and we always want to be clean, with the VPN we connect to any Website with encrypted connection. With SUSE I save the bandwidth in updates of the whole company, I update from my local server or personal computer without problem after verifying that the new update does not cause a problem with my installed system and programs. SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 15 is an authentic, flexible, reliable enterprise operating system in the world of linux desktop systems, which rightfully occupies a leading position in the world. System installation is an intuitive graphical process that allows you to not only install the system itself, but also install additional modules and add-on products as needed. For example, during the installation process, you can select modules and add-on products. During installation, there is an option to select the following desktop environment: • GNOME Desktop using Wayland Technology (including Office Suite, File Manager, Email and so on), but remote GUI access to Gnome Desktop not available with Wayland • GNOME Desktop (X11) (including Office Suite, Email and so on) • GNOME Desktop (Basic X11), essential graphical apps (File Manager, Browser) • IceWM Desktop (Minimal), lightweight desktop SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop uses Gnome version 3.26.2, kernel 4.12.14 and comfortably operates on a 2-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. During installation, the system has a convenient graphical partitioner, the system defaults to allocate the appropriate partition for / home directory, formatted in the xfs file system, and a separate partition for root / directory in btrfs file system. This provides to snapshot the file system and recover the system after crashes. The system has a following preinstalled applications for the regular user: • LibreOffice suite • Mail Client (Evolution) • PDF Document Viewer • Graphical apps (GIMP) • Multimedia software • Remote Desktop Connection app (Remina) • Package updater • Package sources The regular user can easily and quickly install the necessary system office equipment (printers and scanners), but this requires a root password, which can cause some inconvenience. The most valuable feature of the system is the YAST system configuration utility and its modules. These modules allow you to quickly and clearly configure the various services required: Addon Products and Extensions installation, system security configuration Zone Based Firewall, AppArmor Configuration Services, configure Kerberos Instances services, LDAP server and client configuration, NFS client, Mail Server deployment, configure a quick connection to iSCSI target and other services. The process of new modules registration seems quite weired, preferably to have addon moules with no registration process, available by one license. 4.
