I had thought at the very least I would be able to filter on logic that would identify bot traffic. But once I did that, I could not mass delete those filtered bot results. I couldn't see any of the results online, I had to export each time and run my own processes to filter out the bot results. It was AWFUL. They take a long time and there's lots of questions that repeat amongst various surveys. Bulk survey distribution which of course is common industry feature is one of the very few feature I like about Survey Monkey. **What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?** In case you are looking for customisation as per the requirements of your organization, they are not the right people to go to. They have very rigid policies. When given a suggestion which would help them make a better product as compared to competition they have that tendency to just sit on it and not act upon it **What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1. Email collector feature of Survey Monkey is very disappointing, it does not offer much customisation options in terms of having an image embedded in your mail body. 2. One will struggle with survey response rate as email invitations for surveys mostly are either blocked by firewalls or land in junk folders of your customers. 3. Whitelisting is big issue with Survey Monkey, they expect us to ask our customers to whitelist their domain in order to receive the surveys. 4. Customer support team always overcomitts but never delivers. They promise you things which they know will never happen and eventually disappoint you. ### 15. It is much more complicated to set up than Google surveys. Also, the presentation looked really bad. The questions were really spaced far apart and it looked sloppy. The idea to get paid for surveys is great for some online earners. **What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?** I don't like the way they tell you "you are not qualified" or "survey is not available" after you waste time on filling your bio data which takes at least 5 minutes. Because it is not available for many regions so I don't like it. Surveys should be worldwide, if a specific survey is not for that region then it must not show up. **Recommendations to others considering SurveyMonkey:** Survey monkey is a good platform but only for US based countries and EU. If somehow Survey Monkey can make it spread all other the world then people may show more interest in it. We would often have over 150,000 responses to a survey we sent out and SurveyMonkey displayed all this information, including custom responses, in a clear, digestible way. **What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?** I wasn't a big fan of the look of the surveys that we sent out. It would have been great if we were able to customise and brand the interface that our customers would see. The data I collected could not be verified and therefore I could not use it in the end. It appears to have lots of bots and poor quality responses. Most publications and universities wont accept it and it caused me to have to start over. **Recommendations to others considering SurveyMonkey:** If you are asking what people what for lunch or working on a Christmas wish list this will work. The post survey analysis tools have always been a little weak. Okay, if you only need basic analysis, but not much good if you are wanting to delve into correlation, statistical significance, etc. **Recommendations to others considering SurveyMonkey:** Don't think that SurveyMonkey is the only solution. There are lots of excellent alternatives around these days, many of which are more powerful and less expensive. **What problems is SurveyMonkey solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've undertaken some large survey with SurveyMonkey over the years, but no longer use it as we have found better alternatives at more reasonable prices. For many years it did meet most of our survey needs, which was a big benefit, but not so much these days. ### 32. I realize every squirrel has to get it its nut, but I work at an organization where nobody can make a decision on enterprise software needs for surveying, so I'm stuck getting by on what I have. It’s easy to create and manage surveys and they also bring in a ton of info that help me find out what I can change about my work. **What do you dislike about SurveyMonkey?** It can be extremely hard at times to actually create surveys. Just recently I could even make a new survey because the website was glitching around and didn’t let me make one. Sometimes I’m making a survey and the whole website just crashes and all my progress in gone. Not only that but there is almost no way of making people go through a 5 minute survey without paying them. The survey itself is boring, why would anyone want to take surveys of its just a couple of boxes and a question, it’s really time consuming. **Recommendations to others considering SurveyMonkey:** Always use desktop version of survey monkey if you want better performance and less lag. It's making a lot of sense, but to use the advanced features, it costs more... The cost itself is not too significant for full time workers, but when undergraduate students want to use this for their project, the cost can be one of the barriers because they are more likely to face financial barriers. **Recommendations to others considering SurveyMonkey:** This is an inexpensive survey tool for low budget project, unless you have to have complex structures for your survey.
