For me, the biggest benefit is the ability to quickly enable video collaboration while still having control over infrastructure, integrations, and customization. Since it is open source and self-hostable, teams can adapt it to their own security, scalability, and product requirements instead of being locked into a fixed ecosystem. It is also useful because it reduces development effort. Building video conferencing from scratch involves WebRTC handling, media routing, NAT traversal, signaling, recording, and scaling challenges. Jitsi abstracts much of that complexity, allowing developers to focus more on product features and user experience. Another advantage is cost efficiency. For startups or high-volume platforms, self-hosting can be more economical compared to per-user or per-minute pricing models from commercial providers. Jitsi provides an open-source platform for integrating with another application to support Audio, Video conferencing as well as Screen sharing with High Definition. It is like MS Team or Zoom.
