For backend engineers, that’s huge because you control scaling, security, recordings, auth, and data locality. WebRTC-first architecture It uses SFU-based media routing through Jitsi Videobridge instead of traditional MCU mixing. That makes large meetings more bandwidth-efficient and lower latency. No-friction joining experience Users can often join directly from a browser without installing heavy clients. That simplicity matters a lot for adoption **What do you dislike about Support for Jitsi : Video Conferencing Software?** UI/UX feels less polished compared to products like Zoom or Google Meet. Scaling complexity Self-hosting sounds great until you handle thousands of concurrent participants. TURN servers, bandwidth costs, autoscaling, and regional routing become operationally heavy.
