## Superwhisper Pricing FAQs

Generated using AI

Who is Superwhisper pricing best suited for?

Superwhisper's pricing is best suited for small-business users and individual professionals with high writing volume, particularly in education management, consulting, IT services, and e-learning. G2 reviewers in these segments consistently report the strongest ROI, citing dramatic reductions in drafting time and seamless system-wide dictation. Mid-market users in IT and computer security also find value, especially those prioritizing local model privacy for sensitive documentation. Superwhisper's enterprise licensing suits small teams of roughly ten or more looking to standardize voice input across their stack. Budget-conscious users who need only basic transcription can rely on the free tier, while power users requiring custom modes and advanced models benefit most from paid plans.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Superwhisper?

Superwhisper offers a free tier and a 14-day trial for premium models. G2 reviewers of Superwhisper's pricing note the free version handles core dictation adequately for everyday tasks, with one small-business reviewer confirming most work gets done on the free tier alone. Superwhisper's paid plans unlock access to advanced cloud and local AI models, including Ultra and Nova 3 for speaker recognition, plus custom dictation modes per app. The 14-day trial gives access to premium models before committing. One reviewer noted Superwhisper becomes gated after a period, and enterprise licensing is available via custom quote for team-wide deployment.

Is Superwhisper considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers of Superwhisper's pricing are largely positive, with most small-business users rating it 5.0/5 and citing the lifetime license as a strong alternative to recurring monthly subscriptions. One mid-market reviewer in computer and network security explicitly called the lifetime plan a solid investment compared to competitors. A consulting-sector reviewer noted the free tier covers most daily needs. The clearest dissent comes from a mid-market user who called Superwhisper too expensive, and another who flagged the lifetime plan as steep relative to alternatives. One reviewer switched from Whisper Flow specifically for Superwhisper's customization, signaling competitive differentiation that justifies the price for power users.

"Our voice-first input method for an AI-driven workflow"

5/5

What do you like best about Superwhisper?

What we appreciate most about SuperWhisper is how seamlessly it fits into our AI-first way of working. As a company, we are deliberately shifting away from typing toward speaking as our primary way of interacting with our tools — and SuperWhisper has become the central piece that makes this shift actually work in everyday operations.

The biggest upside for us is the speed and quality of voice input across our entire stack. We work heavily with Claude and Claude Code, often through the CLI, and dictating prompts via SuperWhisper is a game changer: we can convey far more context in a fraction of the time it would take to type, which directly translates into better AI outputs. The same applies to Notion (including its AI features), Microsoft Teams messages, Outlook emails, and basically any text field on the Mac — one shortcut, speak, done.

A second area where SuperWhisper genuinely shines is transcription. We regularly use it to transcribe webinar recordings that are only available as video, our own webinar captures, and even classic dictaphone recordings from meetings. For daily voice input we rely company-wide on the Ultra model (cloud), and for transcriptions with speaker recognition we use Nova 3 — both deliver consistently strong recognition quality for German, which was a key requirement for us.

As a German company, data protection is a particularly important topic for us: as long as GDPR-compliant operation of the cloud models is ensured via DPA and Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) between the EU/Germany and the US, we deliberately use the cloud variants because they put significantly less load on our RAM and noticeably improve everyday efficiency (for example, running them in parallel with Teams screen sharing). At the same time, it is highly valuable for us to have a fully on-device fallback available at any time with the local Parakeet models — in Germany, data protection has to be considered more rigorously than in many other countries, and exactly this optionality gives us peace of mind.

What ultimately convinced us to choose SuperWhisper over alternatives was the combination of excellent multilingual recognition, system-wide availability, the freedom to choose between cloud and local models, and the roadmap toward team dictionaries — something we are very much looking forward to in order to standardize domain-specific vocabulary across our team. The Enterprise licensing also made onboarding our colleagues very straightforward.

In short: SuperWhisper has replaced the keyboard as our default input method and has noticeably increased both the efficiency and the quality of how we communicate with our AI tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Superwhisper?

Honestly, it is not easy for us to come up with real points of criticism here. The only area where we would have wished for a simpler process was the onboarding of our colleagues onto our Enterprise license.

We are a team of around ten people, and it would have been much more convenient for us if, as admins, we could have simply created the license keys ourselves and passed them on to our colleagues. As an alternative, we would have liked to be able to add colleagues directly through the admin dashboard with a simple invitation as regular users (i.e. not as admins). The way we understood it, we could initially only invite administrators through the admin dashboard, and then had to manually downgrade them from "Admin" to "Member" afterwards. It worked in the end, but it caused extra steps. It is also possible that we simply missed the intended path — but a more clearly described or easier-to-find invitation option for regular team members would noticeably simplify onboarding.

Beyond that, the only other thing on our wish list — a shared team vocabulary where we can maintain proper nouns and domain-specific terms across the whole company — is already on the roadmap as far as we know. So we do not count that as a dislike, but rather as the feature we are most looking forward to.

Apart from that, we have not noticed any meaningful weaknesses in daily use so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Superwhisper solving and how is that benefiting you?

SuperWhisper is solving two main problems for us:

First, the speed and context problem in our daily work with AI tools. Before SuperWhisper, we used to type our prompts for Claude and Claude Code (often via the command line) as well as longer texts in Notion, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook. This not only cost us time, it also led us to write shorter, less detailed inputs simply because typing them out would have taken too long. With SuperWhisper, we now just speak our prompts and messages. It is significantly faster, and more importantly, we give the AI much more context, which directly leads to better results. Across a full working day, this adds up noticeably — not just in time saved, but also in the quality of our AI outputs.

Second, the transcription problem. We regularly receive webinar recordings that are only available as video, we record our own webinars, and we still use classic dictaphones for some meetings. In the past, this content was only of limited use for research, reuse, or documentation. With SuperWhisper, we transcribe these recordings quickly and at very high quality — for everyday voice input we rely on the Ultra model (cloud), and for recordings with multiple speakers we use Nova 3 with speaker recognition. As a result, audio and video content has finally become searchable, reusable knowledge for us.

The concrete benefits for our team: we work measurably faster, communicate better with our AI tools, save a lot of time when processing recordings, and can consistently shift our way of working from "typing" to "speaking" — which actively supports our broader goal of becoming an AI-first organization. At the same time, having the choice between cloud and local models gives us the confidence that we can handle data protection cleanly within the German and European context. "Great Dictation, But Pricey"

3.5/5

What do you like best about Superwhisper?

I like how good SuperWhisper is at understanding what I'm saying, even when I'm speaking two languages at once. It really captures word for word exactly what I'm saying, which eliminates the need to go back and rewrite or delete parts of the text. The setup was incredibly easy because there were literally zero steps; I just downloaded it and started using it, which made the process seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Superwhisper?

It's too expensive, and I would like it to use AI to in one go, grab what I say, transcribe it, but also improve and say it better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Superwhisper solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use SuperWhisper to save time typing and can multitask while giving feedback verbally. It helps organize my verbal thoughts into emails, making communication smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
