  ### 10. My Three-Year Experience with Sumo Logic: Streamlining Log Management and Issue Resolution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I have been using Sumo Logic for the past three years, and in my experience, it has been highly effective in addressing issues across multiple environments. One of the main features I find impressive is its quick response time. For example, when we need to retrieve application logs from a server or container orchestration, we typically have to log into the container or server, locate the file path, and search for the relevant logs. However, with Sumo Logic, you can simply enter the error keyword or host details along with the error information and specify the time frame, and you’ll get all the relevant logs from the container within seconds. This is why I highly recommend Sumo Logic to others. Additionally, I’ve used the recently added Copilot feature, and my overall user experience has been excellent. I encourage Sumo Logic to continue integrating new features, such as enhanced error detection, i hope the customer support top be good at all.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

From a user's perspective, I believe Sumo Logic could improve its UI experience, as the current interface feels outdated and resembles an older application. In my personal experience, a more colorful and modern UI would attract more users and make the platform more enjoyable to use. While the features are excellent, the pricing could be a concern. Users often evaluate whether the cost is justified by the value provided, so ensuring a balance between price and functionality is key. A great customer experience can lead to higher satisfaction and attract more customers. Additionally, I suggest enhancing the onboarding process with more intuitive tutorials or guided workflows to help new users get started quickly. Another improvement could be faster load times for dashboards

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Over the past three years, I have been using the Sumo Logic application, which has significantly helped resolve numerous P1 issues, incidents, and other infrastructure and application problems. Sumo Logic has been particularly valuable in addressing customer-related issues that need to be fixed within SLA timeframes. In such cases, it is highly effective for identifying the issue, determining the root cause, and providing detailed insights. Based on my experience with production-related queries, Sumo Logic is extremely beneficial. We have integrated it with AWS, which simplifies log ingestion for our applications and enhances efficiency. Additionally, Sumo Logic’s custom query flexibility allows me to use regex-based field parsing and the query builder to extract specific data, such as error codes, enabling precise and efficient troubleshooting.

New UI is not good. Old UI had option with multiple windows but new UI can only open 1 query at a time

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its a good SIEM, 1 of the best in the market

  ### 34. Real Time Monitoring and alerting for Mulesoft

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

We are using the on-prem Mulesoft as our integration platform. We have more than 200+ applications with millions of messages on a daily basis. We have integrated with Sumologic for log monitoring and real time alerts. We are able to setup alerting using the out of the box and also setup dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

Sometimes we have seen the log entries are getting duplicated and also the time stamps are mismatched with the source entries.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using the on-prem Mulesoft as our integration platform. We have more than 200+ applications with millions of messages on a daily basis. We have integrated with Sumologic for log monitoring and real time alerts

  ### 35. Sumo Logic's Search and Analytics a great tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chaitanya J. | Customer success Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

Simplifying Cloud Monitoring with Sumo Logic with easy search.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

Nothing as such, so far I had a good experiment with sumologic

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I log into the sumologic to search what data is coming our user sync set fields via client source, its great tool to highly relay on for searching our backend logs.

  ### 36. Essential for proactive risk management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul H. | Senior Security Analyst, Outsourcing/Offshoring, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I love how the real time analysis and monitoring of Sumo Logic makes it easy to identify and act on system issues very quickly. It easily integrates with our AWS and Google Cloud services and then we can centralize all our logs and metrics in one place. The dashboards can be customized to concentrate on what matters the most and has really improved our troubleshooting efficiency and incident response time.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

The drawback of Sumo Logic is that with large data sets, it sometimes doesn’t update real time, so we can’t really get the real time insights that we need. The platform also has a steep learning curve for newbies regarding its advanced features, so onboarding ends up being more overlong than it ought to be. Sometimes, these factors can delay testing and create a harder time in new team members becoming comfortable with the software.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Sumo Logic, we’re able to set up all logs and metrics on a single platform. By centralizing this, we can actually catch it faster, that means our response time is much quicker and we don’t have these operational disruptions like we used to. We have also been able to respond promptly to risks with automated alerts and detailed data analytic, transforming our daily work into a smoother and more efficient workflow.

  ### 37. Useful cloud logging software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

It is helpful for debugging errors, finding more out about how services interact, and for finding service usage.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

You have to know the query syntax to get information from certain services, it would be helpful to have a navigator.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps with deploying and monitoring there arent any problems in the logs from the deployments, its also helpful for tracking down what services use your service and the proportion, its also good for tracking errors in the staging environments.

  ### 38. Amazing experience over multiple services for correlation tracking

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I can make requests to see logs over multiple services and consolidate them in one dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

The UI is starting to become dated compared to tools like NewRelic

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using sumologic primarily for logging and dashboards for our kubernetes microservices. It fits it's purpose very well!

  ### 39. Good monitoring and log management tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krishnan M. | Software Engineer III, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

Its an all in one place to view your logs in real time, create dashboards etc. I guess there is a lot more it can do, but this is what I've used so far

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

The old UI was really clunky to use. Need to check the new UI properly.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

getting to view the logs from the containers.

  ### 40. SumoLogic is pretty good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I have been enjoying using the API with sumologic, as well as the excellent technical support I have frequently received while setting up and learning about automations.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

The new UI has slowed me down, even having me click on more buttons before I get to a log search, the most common page. The documentation has been lacking when setting up the automations and when creating rules in CSE, which has a slightly different syntax than the search query in the main log search (CIP).

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sumo logic is helping me by keeping all of our logs in a single place for ease of access.

  ### 41. Great product - great support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh N. | Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

It's very inuitive and there's always positive changes being made. Support is great and there's a lot of available training.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

The AI feature still needs tuning. In it's current state it's not that helpful.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Log monitoring and SIEM. It's giving greater insigiht to our enviornment.

  ### 42. Sumo is very responsive and has excellent integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phil M. | Information Security Architect, Legal Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

Sumo is so fast and responsive with search queries! I also love the integrations with my other systems that has pre-built dashboards and reports.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

It took time to learn the query language. I was a long time Splunk admin so going from Splunk to Sumo took a bit of time to learn the language.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have all systems (cloud and on-prem) logging to Sumo. The integrations with Palo Alto, Cato Networks, Recorded Future, Microsoft M365/O365, Tenable and more is so helpful because the integration apps have pre-built dashboards and reports that are already intelligent out of the box but also easily customizable so that I can create custom playbooks based on queries across multiple indexes/data sets. My speed of identifying and responding to threats/events has saved my entire team about 20 hours per week that we can apply to other areas or projects.

  ### 43. Sumo is best tool to get the collective information like logs, features and monitoring

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I like the way of easy usage while writing queries to get collective information with the help of Copilot. Very easy to implement to get the data by the number of features and integration in the application as well.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

Not storing more than 90 days of data to fetch, if they can keep at least 180 days of data, that would be great.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have added triggers to get collective of information by features and log, to analyze from our side to improve our product day to day.

  ### 44. SumoLogic review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

For simple queries, usage feels relatively intuitive and easy to pick up

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

Query language has a learning curve - can take some time to pick up and get used to for complex queries

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Observability, particularly in an incident resolution context. Being able to narrow down on affected entities and root causes

  ### 45. Does the job well when integration exists

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I provides an ability to create robust dashboards which businesses generally need. So instead of having to drill down into data to find what is wrong, most of the times we can easily find stuff out right from dashboard. It saves lot of time.
Implementation too is quite easy. Good customer support.
We use it quite regularly in our organization.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

Number of integrations are lower compared to competitors. They need to increase the number of integrations with other systems. Even if integrations are present, many times they do not provide the expected features making them unusable. Custom development is needed at times to send data here if integrations are not present.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves time most importantly, by solving the problem of having to check multiple systems or consult with multiple teams when cross platform issues occur. We see everything in a single pane, and can have the filters set up in a very flexible manner.

  ### 46. Probably the easiest system to capture logs and quickly sift through logs to identify what is needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric Y. | Senior Director of Data Science, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

I really appreciate the fact that SumoLogic has a pretty performant query engine that allows me to drill down to the specific log entry that I need to resolve either application errors or performance issues. It does this is a relaitvely transparant way so we don't have change our exisitng logging practices.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

it doesn't default to always searching the latest logs, and you have to manuallly set it every time.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to easily get to the logs for all the applications that we deploy and allows us to drill down to the relevant logs

  ### 47. A great Log mining tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avinash K. | Staff Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2025

  ### 48. Great product at the price

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Sumo Logic?**

It does all the jobs that competitors do.
Very simple to handle and implement.
Accepts almost any kind of data and allows preprocessing and flexible indexation.
Customer support is good.
Can handle data streams and frequent API calls for ingestion.

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

I think the documentation needs to be revisited in certain cases.
Preprocessing the data can be simpler on the UI.
Out of the box common preprocessing and structuring methods should be added.
Integration wth salesforce can be improved.

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The feature we use the most is the single-pane-of-glass kind of dashboard.
Extremely easy t customize.
Helps us in evaluating the data in much broader manner with an opportunity to drill down if needed.
Allows us the get to the core of issue and analyze and report RCAs faster than before.

  ### 49. Great tool to monitor and analyze logs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

Very easy to use and many different tools to navigate it easily

**What do you dislike about Sumo Logic?**

You can get lost on all the different options it has

**What problems is Sumo Logic solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us monitor our apps

  ### 50. Log correlation and alerting for the enterprise with playbook support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott S. | N, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)
