"Excellent Implementation Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Summize?

I love that:

- Summize connects to other systems so that users stay in the system they are used to (salesforce, outlook etc).

- I love the Summize approach to implementation, they could not have been more helpful.

- I love that I can edit documents in word whilst still using Summize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summize?

- Some of the Summize intake questionnaire functionality could be a little more sophisticated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"So far so good"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Summize?

Ease of use of product, high adoption rate due to how seamless it works with other products like Outlook, Teams, Word, and DocuSign. Overcame the hurdles we experienced with our last contract management software so far. Great conditional logic feature.

Their team has been pretty responsive as well. Alex and the onboarding team have helped us understand all the features, are leading a structured and tested rollout plan, and give thorough responses or find out the answers if he doesn't have them. We experienced a few hiccups as Summize imported our templates, but the legal engineering team, and particularly Kate R., have worked hard to ensure we overcame them. She is quite knowledgeable about the many features and options and worked to understand our specific use case and suggested the best fit for our templates. When problems arose, she and the team went to work to figure out why it was happening and fix the problem. You can tell she's quite passionate about her work, and she's pleasant to interact with.

Full disclosure - we are still in the onboarding phase and have not fully adopted and implemented everything yet, but hope to do so this month. So far our experience has been great though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summize?

We're very new to the platform, so there may eventually be more, but the limits to their folder structure/permission sets are a bit disappointing. We are only able to have two levels of folders, so we've had to restructure a bit internally to make this work for us. Especially because the folder structure determines the permissions.

One of the only features we wish Summize had that our prior CMS had is the automatic/standard naming convention for contracts, e.g., all contacts are listed by [Contract Type] | [Contract Date] | [Parties]. Obviously not a dealbreaker but would be nice to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Had a great implementation experience! Alex was super patient, resourceful and understanding!"
5/5
What do you like best about Summize?

We are still in the process of rolling the CLM out and there is still much to learn, but already we are seeing such a great transition to centralizing critical documents to providing the business more insight into actual approval processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summize?

Not much to critique - just maybe some suggestions for future: 1. "urgent" flag or button in review request as well as ability to filter for current agreements only without having to export to Excel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Friendly, Reliable, and Supportive Implementation Process!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Summize?

I appreciate how user friendly the platform is. The purpose of the platform is important to service our needs, but the platform must be easy to use with as little friction as possible to ensure client buy-in and adoption. Summize is that! Just during the pilot, we heard great feedback and client's have used the platform without hardship. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summize?

The user license benefits may not be suited well for how in-house legal teams work with their clients. In order for full adoption, the platform must be self serving through the entire CLM process. By restricting certain lifecycle features from the requestor user, client's are less likely to use the platform. The collaborator license should offer features that outside the standard CLM process but that amplify the product and desire to want to purchase additional collaborator licenses. "Great Contract Management System with AI"
5/5
What do you like best about Summize?

Customers Service is top notch and implementation has been relatively painless. AI does a fantastic job with pulling out party names and important dates, the summary function is a great tool when you are searching for information quickly (and can be customized to pull out almost anything). The outlook integration makes submitting requests and storing documents a breeze Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summize?

"Pleased with the Summize experience."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Summize?

The platforms review pro has significantly reduced the time spent manually reviewing agreements of which has increased efficiency for the team. The transparency it affords the team has also been great in eliminating the needs for multiple correspondence to determine the status of a contract and its ability to integrate with Microsoft Office tools has also been great. It is nice to be able to use the plug ins within Microsoft Office and Teams to work directly within the platforms we are already using this greatly streamlines the process and minimizes disruptions. Finally, customer support has been consistently responsive and collaborative, helping us tailor the platform to suit our specific workflows and goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summize?

One area we would like to see improved is access to the contract repository for business users or requesters. Currently providing broader visibility comes with additional licensing costs and so this does limit our ability to scale access across the organization. Expanding access options without significant additional costs would make the platform even more impactful and help us unlock greater value across the departments. "Summize Implementation"
5/5
What do you like best about Summize?

Our organization had an amazing experience working with Mariana Cimpureanu for our implementation. Mari did a fantastic job. She was very responsive and open to our feedback. She had the right balance of being patient with us during our busy season and then knowing when to push us in order to stay on track with implementation. She really shines in this role, and I couldn't imagine a better experience regarding implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summize?

Like any CLM or similar platform, there are some upsides as well as some things we wished worked differently. Mari and her team were open to our ideas for improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review of Summize Integration"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Summize?

Integration with word

Integration with outlook

Versioning (useful for comparisons against historic positions)

Repository linkage features

AI review features

Great implementation management by James Blake, who has been invaluable - very experienced, informed and pro-active supporting us through a complex and time-consuming process. Has made a huge impact for effective tool roll-out in the organisation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Summize?

The repository view features are limited (especially for requestors and collaborators)

Stakeholders are often confused by the "open in word to edit" functionality - they (i) fail to open the docs and see internal comments left there by legal team (sometimes even accidentally sending them out externally); and (ii) if they do use the feature, they do not save up the edited word doc as a new version. There is no clear distinction between internal and external mark-up / document versions.

It can be cumbersome to tweak and re-upload templates

Summize can be slow to load - sometimes I wait for some time (5-10 mins) for "requests" or "repository" to appear. Assume this is technical glitching, but it effectively means I sometimes can't access my contracts when I need to.

Hubspot integration - only has linkage to one account, so full business cannot use the integration Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
