**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

The support that my SugarCRM team and Sugar Supprt provides me, and the ability to customize the platform exactly to our best practices as an organization.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

We have dealt with many glitches, both for admin and end-users, that have only ever been added to an "Idea". At times, SugarCRM feels a little bare bones, like a developer tool that has not been made fully usable to an average end-user yet.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Upgrading our sales team. Those who are reluctant to learning new sales tactics are now being "forced" to grow and change with the CRM.

Easy to use and understand. The knowledge base is easy to find information in if we have issues to work through.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Our support rep seems to be only out to make a dollar and isn't actually caring about what we need for our business. We've tried some other areas to try to get more information on training and those people seem to be more helpful.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Leads and Opportunities modules are assisting us in the purchasing process

  ### 8. Sugar Sell review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Partha Protim P. | Product Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Sugar sell offers many advanced features such as email marketing, analytics, easy to use, integration with many popular third party applications that enables access to a variety of markets worldwide that can be traded with the assistance of expert advisors.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It is very difficult to navigate. Customer service is below expectations. It is also unable to track any recent activities on the CRM. The email module is also crappy.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Sugar Sell (Sugar CRM) is not the best CRM in the market. But it is lightweight and checks most of the requirements.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently using Sugar Sell as a CRM for solving vendor's queries. We also use it to relay the queries to the concerned team for quick and timely resolution.

  ### 9. Sugar CRM Review

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Sugar CRM has automation capabilities that help in mapping business processes such as ours. It collects real-time data with all the relevant metrics. This tool has great customization features, which allow our team to connect with respective account managers and help solve the vendor's queries. It is also easier to implement changes in the application's code to streamline the business process. The great thing is the application is still evolving and giving Salesforce a run for their money.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It is a vast framework, and learning about all its features takes time as there is no proper training, tutorials for the application. Salesforce, even though it is priced a bit higher, provides AI capabilities that are not found in Sugar CRM.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

I would recommend Sugar CRM for Small and medium-sized organizations or in a small team. For bigger sized teams and organizations, I would recommend Salesforce

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, our product team uses Sugar CRM internally to solve vendor and analysts' queries. They usually come in the form of cases with respective SLAs, which Sugar CRM well maintains. Even though it has little monetary benefits for our team, it does have an impact in the form of smooth case resolution, cross-functional team communication. It does have more significant benefits for the Sales team, though.

**Official Response from Aleighjean (AJ) Traver:**

> Hi there,

Everyone at Sugar loves when a customer takes extra time to write such a thoughtful review. Thanks so much for your feedback, and we're so pleased to hear how automation and customization is positively impacting productivity and the customer experience for multiple teams in your organization.

We'd love to assist you in having a more valuable experience. Something you mentioned regarding AI capabilities makes me wonder if you've looked into SugarPredict? We have a dedicated team who could take a look at your account and understand what it would take for you to implement SugarPredict to take full advantage of our robust AI functionality if you haven't already. Please let me know if this is an interest of yours. I've shared a link to the Predict page for your reference.

Stay well,

  ### 10. Good option to store sales information if you are on a budget

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Sugar does have a lot of add ons that make the platform a lot more worth while to use. But you have to be willing to upgrade and put a lot of time into getting the CRM the way you want it.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

If you start with just basic or even a few of the add ons, the platform is slow, constantly needs to reload, often crashes if you are trying to do a lot at once. Compared to other CRM platforms, this just doesn't have the capacity to do what others can. Also the mobile app is trash.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Sugar to keep notes, create quotes and track order patterns.

**Official Response from Aleighjean (AJ) Traver:**

> Hi there,

Everyone at Sugar appreciates when a customer takes the time to share such a thoughtful review. We take customer feedback importantly, as it helps us continuously improve to meet customers' needs. We're sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulties with load time and the mobile app. We'd love to assist you in having a more valuable experience. For example, I'm wondering if you are using Sugar in the cloud or on your own servers? Or are you using an older version of Sugar that may not have benefited from the platform developments over the past 24 months? We'd be happy to connect with you to see how we may be able to address these areas with you if you'd like. If you're interested, please feel free to email me at atraver@sugarcrm.com.

Stay well,

AJ Traver

  ### 11. This is robust but slow CRM. You can see the full data sheet but it's really long.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leslie H. | Enterprise SDR, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2020

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

I liked how relational the database of contact information was when I was setting up a new file or retrieving an existing user file to make a prospect call list from. It was really easy to find all the contact details as well as to see the notes and past history related to each contact posted in the user files. The data flowed very well and was all on one page and you didn't have to move around too much to see the information you wanted to know about each client.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Sugar was really slow when it came to updating files or downloading data. If you wanted to move around on the page you had to scroll and scroll which took forever. I did not like how it seemed glitchy after using it for two years.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sugar was a good place to help manage customer contact information and possible sales opportunities that were upcoming for both the inside and outside sales team. It was a central database for both teams to reference so the client relationship was very easy to maintain.

  ### 12. SugarCRM Review

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Radford S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It is very easy to Import and Export via excel. It is easy to track what each user is doing.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

I dislike the that there are many limitations when building reports. I also feel as if the Sugar Support Portal gives mixed answers depending on who replies. Its not possible to report on emails sent by user which would be a huge upgrade to the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Look around at all CRMs and choose based on the strong features that your company will utilize the most.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of who the decision makers are at each company. Tracking sales for each Client on a quarterly basis. Determining what accounts we need to reach out to more or less frequently based on reporting.

  ### 13. Not My Favorite CRM

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2020

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Outlook integration is useful and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

When moving down from accounts to contacts and then back again, it takes you to the full account search page, rather than back to the account you had accessed. VERY annoying, and it does this with any drill down function.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

See notes above

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of client interactions; when used correctly, one can see all co-workers interactions with clients.

  ### 14. Efficient sales software but clunky.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dennis M. | Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

I enjoy how easy it is to track calls and accounts, and it directly syncs with my other CRM software my company uses. It makes it easier for customer service to stay in touch with my accounts, and less redundant questions being asked. On top of that, I have found that it's useful to have all my information readily available for audits with companies that I deal with.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Outdated and clunky software at times. In addition, not everything syncs over greatly and their helplines are not great either. A lot of questions that we ask aren't getting answered. In addition, our company pays a decent amount for this software, you'd hope that there was more possibilities for integration within our company and this CRM.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

It's a good entry level CRM for a small company, the issues comes when you're dealing with many accounts and multiple CRM softwares at once at it's not connecting well.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can keep an accurate account of emails, calls, accounts, prospects, and clients without personally having to log my work. It saves time throughout the day drastically.

  ### 15. Sugar used for medical sales

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Sugar, when used properly, does have the potential to create a lot of great data and link accounts/products in ways to truly help you analyze your territory. Its a fairly customizable platform that displays what you want where you want.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

The system does have its fair number of glitches. I oftentimes have trouble filtering my searches or have to reload the page when it freezes or isn't responding. Also compared to what I have seen on platforms such as sales force, this isn't a top-notch platform.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use sugar to input all of our sales data, contact information, create leads and opportunities, and then analyze the data to see where we are falling short in sales and where there is an opportunity for new sales. I see a benefit in having the option of linking profiles that are related through a health system, but also able to view each facility's data separately.

  ### 16. Sugar CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

This product is a good product for tracking data and plans and making joint groups for projects. You can assign specific things to people and everyone can see the various status of the project and who is doing what. It makes teamwork easier.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It can be a bit clunky and you can get lost if you don't follow a project the right way or if you can't remember a name. Some assignments can be made to you but if you are not on the primary project list it's hard to manage when and where the status is of the project.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

This is a good product. It takes a bit of time to become accustomed to it but you can get a lot done once you are familiar with how it works. The ability for multiple users to interact helps a lot as well.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps you manage long term projects or multiple projects and the ability to add files and images as back up helps a lot more than other CRMs where you don't have that ability. You can also see a lot of information which helps with you getting stuff done

  ### 17. Simple, easy and navigable tool - not that sophisticated however.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben S. | Sales Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Sugar is very easy to get to grips with. The basic functionality can be worked out pretty quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

The plugins aren't particular good for a salesperson - archiving emails, tracking leads, targets etc is hard.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

If you don't need a lot - it's perfect.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking sales for the year and monthly pipelines.

  ### 18. SugarCRM is very good but lacks local support in Brazil.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Its has all the features (maybe even more) than Salesforce.com but it is more affordable.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Lack of local support. Same difficulties and costs associated w/Salesforce for integrating into legacy systems.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Budgetary and time restrictions for hiring local consultant for intregration project (obviously this is not Sugar´s fault).

  ### 19. Customised Fund Management Software Use

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Civic & Social Organization | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

SugarCRM's ability to be customised has allowed it to be tailored specifically to our requirements, both in terms of usage and with regards to regulations that must be followed during the course of our work.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

The reporting feature in SugarCRM is limited in how the data within the system can be represented. Although more complex reports can be written in SQL, the inability to easily lay them out limits their usefulness for users who are not familiar with SQL.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing funding claims requires numerous audit checks and review of spending according to eligibility rules. Our customised SugarCRM installation massively improves the ability of those at the top of the cascade to monitor the progress of claims and check on all management and financial verifications throughout the process.

  ### 20. System use

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda W. | Sales and Marketing Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It has a nice layout and I like the customer service line for Enterprise users.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

There have been several times there are system errors or the system is down for a few minutes. The only explanation from Sugar CS is that there is something wrong with the server. The system is not nearly as user-friendly as Salesforce. It's harder to make changes and there are not as many vendors for doing customization. The vendors that we have worked with have not been nearly as helpful as our Salesforce vendors. However, Sugar is much cheaper so it is a tradeoff.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our CRM is great for organizing and tracking sales, exporting information for printing labels for thank you notes and managing bids won with educational entities.

  ### 21. Does the job, but there are better options out there.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Allows you to keep up to date with pipeline and to store large amounts of CRM across an enterprise level business.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

The UI is unfriendly and outdated. The data fields are confusing and it seems to take forever to do anything within the platform.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Go for something with a more friendly and intuitive UI. There are better options out there.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying up to date with pipeline and coordinating for invoicing.

  ### 22. Good easy CRM

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

its a pretty easy transition coming from a company that was previously using salesforce.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

I dont know if it was just our company but sugar constantly went down at certain times during the day.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

sugar is a good easy crm software to keep up with new and existing customers.
benefits are that sugar shows the dashboard and is customizable.

  ### 23. a good option for managing the relationship and communication with customers.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** theo b. | It is an incredible tool to manage and execute business projects., Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It is an excellent tool to effectively track customer data, in addition you can keep track of transactions and thus achieve a practical monitoring of all data thus improving communication are customers.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

its learning curve can be a bit complex to handle, since it has some functions that are a bit difficult to handle but after using it a few days you manage to handle it in the best way.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a very practical and beneficial tool that allows you to keep track of and manage customer data in an appropriate manner which allows you to improve interpersonal relationships with customers.

  ### 24. A great tool!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Easy to use, navigate, custom report building.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Sometimes difficult to remember where things are located within a field.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using it to build pipeline, track leads, build reports, house all information on the client.

  ### 25. Pros and Cons of Sugar CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tara L. | Relationship Manager, Real Estate, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It is very customize-able so to an extent, you can code it in a way that works best for your company. I also like that there are several categories for touch points so you can prioritize them accordingly.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It is not very user friendly or efficient. It often requires several clicks just to make one log. It also does not provide much in the way of analytics.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

It takes awhile to get used to, and even longer to learn how to use it most efficiently. But once you get the hang of it, it is an invaluable tool for sales reps.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sugar helps me juggle several hundred clients. Their notifications and several different categories for touch points helps me make sure all my clients get the attention they need.

  ### 26. A good software but UI could be improved.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

The most helpful thing about sugar CRM is to fetch the data and leads.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

The most adviceable thing to improve for the sugar CRM is there UI.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not much really

  ### 27. Highly capable system

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John K. | Director of Sales, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Separation of calls vs tasks, notes migrated from one call to another seemlessly, scheduling next contact was simple.
Case management was superb and workflows worked well

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Require a lot of manual entry. Learning curve was a little steep

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

You will possibly need inhouse developers to customize

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Contact, Sales, and case management.

  ### 28. we use sugar for our crm

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

its very simple to use, you do not need to be a genius to work on it.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

i have used salesforce before and it barely compares in terms of efficiency.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Very simple to use and if you have employees that are computer illiterate then this is the crm for you.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

business wise we are pretty much just consulting and closing clients.
benefits again just the simplicity of it.

  ### 29. Not what we need.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It's great at storing information, but that's about it at this point

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Out really requires a third party to truly integrate the software... That's money we don't have

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Look hard into their party assistance when utilizing this product

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping contacts organized is the first, b and a way of creating regular reminders

  ### 30. Run-of-the-mill CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Traceability within Sugar is excellent. Ease of searching for records is useful.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

The system itself is for minimalist businesses. Constantly has error messages and cannot link to other software as well.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Assure it can link to other systems prior to implementation.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looking to categorize and track opportunities and RLI’s.

  ### 31. SUGARCRM REVIEW

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keshia S. | Sales & Marketing Administrator , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

I think the "convert" option is a good tool. It makes it simple and easy to create and convert the Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities and Leads together. I also think the "import leads" option process is good too. It's very convenient when you have a large amount of information that you need to import right away. I think inputting the Leads is simple and easy to do.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Sometimes the "convert" option is a bit difficult to do and understand. Many Reps forget to "create opportunity" first and just go straight to "save and convert", which does not entirely save the Opportunity and then you'll need to create one. This creates another step for the Reps and is double work for them. I like the "import leads" template, however, it'd be a lot of easier if I didn't have to copy and paste the info to it, just to match the columns. Many of the Reps have an issue with the "email notification". They are able to modify info on the Opportunity Module like the Expected Close Date and Sales Stage. But when a modification is done, they still receive email notifications from the previous info inputted and not the new info.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to track the Reps activity and progress. The Mileage Module helps track the Reps activity and how much of their territory is being worked on and how much traveling they do. The Opportunity Module helps track the progress of their Leads and how many of their Leads can become Demo and actual Sales.

  ### 32. Slow and cumbersome

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samantha F. | Implementation/Project Manager, Hospital & Health Care, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Lots of options for customizing, but requires time to deploy. I do like the email notifications with shortcut links to the cases/Account.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Too hard to navigate. We get errors on a daily basis. If you fill in certain fields together, it errors our every time. our Sugar rep has not been able to figure it out.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

This product is not easy to navigate. You have to make several clicks to get where you need to go. There are many other products out there that work better, in my opinion.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Case management for software development. EVerything is stored in one place.

  ### 33. A bit clunky

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It gets the job done, and it's mostly stable. Once you get used to it, it works as expected.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It usually seems slow and awkward, and it's often not very intuitive to user. Requires paying for an administrator license.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing tech support and inventory

  ### 34. VP Finance Advisor

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Easy to put in notes, assign tasks, see team reports

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Hard to find specific notes and archived notes

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

None

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keep track of conversations

  ### 35. sugarcrm professional

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

it seems to be user friendly and the graphs and report outputs are concise

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

its backend feels clunky records commonly are corrupted and need to be removed

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

make sure you want cloud based or on premises both have different features

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

oppportunites are handled well and efficiently.

  ### 36. Overly complicated to do the simplest tasks

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly R. | Multimedia Account Executive, Newspapers, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

There are a lot of great features that it's very all inclusive. It can do as much as you can dream. The sales "funnel" is particularly interesting and keeps future business in top of mind.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

I was very excited about the Sugar Platform but unfortunately it fell very flat for me. I NEEDED it to do three simple things - track sales calls, log sales, and give me reminders to follow up with clients. Unfortunately it just took too long to do any one of those things. Logging a call that might have taken me 2 minutes took just as long to put into a program. It was almost impossible to tell the system to schedule a follow up without scheduling an appointment, when I wanted it added to my to do list. I researched a lot of and watched several tutorials but it was just too complicated for it's purpose.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

SugarCRM would do the most good if a company was starting out using it. While they tried to make everything seamlessly import from old systems, it just didn't and ultimately we had several issues with accounts being assigned to the wrong people, businesses that had closed down, or bad debt businesses that we couldn't eliminate from our system correctly. But the features available for a starter business are phenomenal and it would be a great resource.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seeing a future track of where your sales will end up in the next few months is invaluable. The sales funnel was by far the best feature, especially when it took into account renewing contracts and long term sales plans with my clients.

  ### 37. The most affordable CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

The first thing to mention is the price, it's unbeatable and appreciated. Then, I really liked that the open-source CRM can be easily customized from the start. It is a feature-rich CRM solution that is also more affordable than some of the larger CRM solutions. It allows you to integrate with the best automated email marketing services, which is great if you work in marketing.
Additionally, if you are willing to pay a little extra money to a third-party Sugar provider, the options are endless when it comes to customizing your CRM to meet more needs.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

I found it complicated to learn how to handle, there are many different ways to use the software. It is difficult to learn to use for someone who does not have much experience with software. Also, I must comment that the search function has left much to be desired, at times I have had to repeat the search several times and it struggles to find it, even knowing it is in the database.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

I recommend watching some usage tutorials beforehand.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using SugarCRM provides the opportunity to plan and forecast better. It also gives our entire team more visibility whether inside or outside the office. The management and mapping of business processes are handled in our internal CRM, and we are very satisfied. We measure sales and operations metrics very easily, being able to obtain a globalized view of our company.

  ### 38. Good, but complicated interface

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Margurette A. | Strategy Lead, Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It's nice to be able to customize your homepage with all the widgets and reports you'd like.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Sometimes the reporting functionality isn't completely intuitive, so just be careful that you might misconstrue your own data.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use SugarCRM to track day-to-day outreach tasks as well as run reports for our marketing team. We also use it to segment audiences.

  ### 39. Sugar

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2019

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

The product should be enhanced to the help menu it’s not that help

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It difficult to us and I don’t like the user interface

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pipeline management and forecasting

  ### 40. Fairly priced but not very integrated compared to other CRM

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Fairly priced and good customer service for customization etc

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Not very well integrated - can not get reports on excel which can be easily digested

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Inexpensive yet not very well integrated

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cross border sales team - so was important for us to keep track of accounts etc

  ### 41. Needs a revision

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

I like that the Support representatives are responsive and pleasant.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It's never easy to get things done or added. It's outdated.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are actually switching to Sales Cloud.

  ### 42. Chief Admin Officer

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Debbie H. | Community Manager | Online Content Creation | Lead Generation, Food & Beverages, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Reporting, though I wish it was possible to schedule reports with a variable run time.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Customizing the mobile view requires extra work and is not intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

We are a small company with an IT staff of one person. If you have more resources, this will be easier to set up and use.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Capturing interactions with leads and franchisees over time, plus holding franchisee data in one spot instead of separate spreadsheets. When employees will give up their spreadsheets, it saves time.

  ### 43. Good CRM system that could use some improvements

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Sugar is very easy to use and navigate through numerous customer profiles and opportunities

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It could use a make over they system is very bland to look at and can get boring

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Sugar needs to fins a way to compete with other companies like salesforce in this space and include new features.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sugar CRM solves the problem of customer management and helps to track business opportunities from start to finish

  ### 44. Sugar is fine

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

I have found Sugar fairly simple to understand, not very complicated.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It can be very slow to load, which can be a big hindrance.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

I recommend giving it a try.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can sort all of my interactions with clients easily.

  ### 45. SugarCRM CE - Powerful, but you gotta know what you're doing

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christopher M. W. | Marketing Director, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

We use SugarCRM CE companywide. From sales and marketing through product support and development.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Not at all intuitive, you really need to know how to get under the hood to get the most from SugarCRM.

The separate modules (targets, leads, opportunities, contacts, and accounts) are independent so converting information from one level to the next is manual and often creates duplications of effort.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to properly set up our prospecting and sales funnel workflows.

SugarCRM CE integrates with InBox25, our marketing automation system.

Accounts that are customers can also be managed in SugarCRM

  ### 46. Sugar CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie J. | Business Development Manager, Reverse Logistics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2017

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It's interactive with other coworkers. Makes trouble resolution much easier. It's like a social media platform at work, which is current with IT trends these days.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

I found it hard to setup a dashboard and pipeline. It is also difficult to pull reports from.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Youtube how to setup your dashboard. Have someone who is familiar with the platform show you how to use it. There are several employees who are of a more "old school" frame of mind, and these employees struggle more than employees in their 20-30's.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounts receivable, and credit issues. I can easily tag my AR department to resolve the issue I need help with.

  ### 47. Simple Cloud CRM with room for growth

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

I like the easy of setup and features from this software for small businesses.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Issues with Office 365 tenants, if you have exchange no issues.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

They are growing and constantly expanding. I have rarely if ever seen a bad patch or update he they're environment.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client management

  ### 48. Sugar CRM

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric K. | Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Management Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2017

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

It is easy to use. The CRM itself is fairly bare bones and direct, or at least that's how we have it set up. It is very easy to use and fairly intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Depending on the browser being used it can be buggy

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to keep track of our active client base. We keep touchbase notes inside as well as any relevant information that needs to be shared cross departments.

  ### 49. Using Sugar to manage day to day activities

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Hardware | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

I manage over 150 accounts and I rely on Sugar to record my daily activities, upcoming tasks and events, scheduled meetings/calls and opportunities.
Sugar is fairly easy to navigate around which is great since I typically need stored information quickly. I simply enter in the account I want information about, open it up in Sugar and I can see all my past activities and notes and upcoming ones as well all laid out in one easy to read web page. I can also run reports on activities, opportunities, partner sales, etc.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

Even with the Sugar plug in through Outlook, I can't seem to get real time reminders on upcoming phone calls, meetings or tasks.
If I wanted to see what I had coming up with each account, I would have to manually log into Sugar either by using the homepage where it displays upcoming activities or I would have to plug in the name of the account. It would be nice if I could have a reminder of some sort, such as a calendar alert.

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned above, I use Sugar mostly to store information on my accounts so I can manage each efficiently. As a company, we also use it to import leads from trade shows and other events and to track customer opportunities ( track the sales cycle for an account prospect). It is a great informational tool as there is typically a field for most categories that is easy to plug in and store as much data as you need.

  ### 50. Similar to Sales Force yet Less User Friendly

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2017

**What do you like best about Sugar Sell?**

Great multi-user interface and easy to view full customer access among other users with permissions. Also creates secure access among others.

**What do you dislike about Sugar Sell?**

It is similar to Salesforece.com but has less features. Difficult to obtain proper training.

**Recommendations to others considering Sugar Sell:**

Similar to salesforce.com and is still progressing. Would be helpful if you have someone already familiar with the product and it is not the greatest of user friendly options

**What problems is Sugar Sell solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Use to log customer calls, quotes, orders, pricing and tracking
