The platform itself has many great features, and it was easy to track utilization from our employees. We immediately put it to use after a weather disaster in our community and had a very successful campaign. It really helped facilitate and enhance our corporate social responsibility initiatives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Submittable? Customer support - it took much longer than was communicated to get the platform up and running. This was 100% because our Account Manager was virtually non-responsive. It would take weeks sometimes to get a simple response to a question so we could get the integration working. Troubleshooting minor issues would take way longer than necessary because no one would reply to questions. Bright Funds would reach out about something we needed to do; we would execute but then wouldn't hear back for at least a week. Typically several weeks. We even tried circumventing our account manager and going through their customer support desk, which did not help. Bright Funds has high potential and could add a lot of value to an organization, but I would not recommend using their platform because the poor customer support rendered it virtually un-usable at times. Finding ways to engage our employees with our corporate social responsibility initiatives. We used Bright Funds for donation tracking, connecting employees with donation and volunteer opportunities, and to build campaigns that aligned with the organization's mission and values.. For us to continue using submittable, we need some key features to be added: - a more powerful view/home dashboard that shows applications along with key responses and lets you sort and filter. Wizehive does this much better - An ability to do multiple rounds of review and scoring, down-selecting to smaller sets of applications each round - An ability to assign reviewers to concept notes based on certain criteria - for example, a reviewer would have expertise in a certain geography and would get matched to applications that are focused on or from that geography Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Submittable: Only use submittable if you have a very basic open call for proposals process with only one round of review, and are willing to do most analysis and sorting offline in excel. We run annual open call for proposals process - submittable allowed us to receive applications from hundreds of organizations, and run a review/scoring process with a panel of ~30 reviewers. What do you dislike about Submittable? The pricing restructure screwed our organization. We pay for a few months/year. Now in order to have custom forms we need to sign a pro-rated annual contract. Please allow custom forms in the regular tier-pricing. Now we are essentially held hostage. We can't have blind reviews without signing a contract.
