It is also easy to navigate as a new user. **What do you dislike about Submittable?** There is a need for a more configured CRM and the lack of one really adds time to our workteam as we use a third-party software to coordinate with Submittable to get the information collection we need. **What problems is Submittable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Submittable is used for our applicants to submit their requests for funding through our grant opportunities. Internally, we can review and adapt our applications to best-fit the organizations we are working with. The "randomize assignments" feature is also incredibly useful. **What do you dislike about Submittable?** There are a few features that I'd love to see added to Submittable in the future. I'd love it if the search filters were a little more robust. It would be incredibly useful to be able to create our own tiers that different screeners and readers belong to and to be able to search for all assignments ready to be assigned or currently assigned to a given tier. I would also love to be able to sort by submissions that have been rated by the reader currently assigned to it. Currently, the filter for completed review pulls all results that have been read/rated by anyone as opposed to results that have been rated only by those currently assigned to them. It would also be more convenient to be able to request refunds independently via Submittable instead of submitting a request to billing via email. **What problems is Submittable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our award has grown past the size that our team could comfortably manage without the assistance of some kind of software. Submittable is fulfilling that need for us and it also allows our readers to read remotely for the award. The amount of manuscripts that we are able to process with Submittable is far more than what we could do manually. For what we need, it fits us perfectly! I am able to change and update the applications and items on the fly as needed. I can even walk my reviewers through simple technical help myself. **What do you dislike about Submittable?** Some of the updates have reset my settings without my knowledge. I've only found out when something stopped working correctly and had to troubleshoot. Also, not knowing the pricing and setting up the pricing is quite agravating. **What problems is Submittable solving and how is that benefiting you?** All of the data gathered in the applications is easy to download in a spreadsheet. Which in turn saves me so much time. Everything is completely customizable! Without having to contact anyone else, it saves me time and quite a bit of money. It is helpful to be able to make edits to the application or configuration rather than having to go through local IT. **What do you dislike about Submittable?** We are not able to sort at a more granular level RE: status completion of some of our additional forms. The report export function is also not very intuitive. It offers many options but after much tinkering, they don't produce the desired results. We will likely need to purchase dedicated programming time from Submittable support to get customized report exports that work for is. "The delete function will remove the label from all applications and delete the label." - when there are many labels, it would be more convenient if deleting labels in Configurations would not delete labels in archived applications (for the audit trail). 3. Inconvenient tool for evaluation of applications. Our application evaluation sheets are more complex than the Review Form Tools proposed for evaluation. It also helps tracks the submissions internally so we know who has submitted and who hasn't. It also allows for mutliple users and assignments so that each form can go to a specific user and not everyone needs to be notified. The forced account system also allows for a submitter to track their submission an see it sit in a draft stage and not submitted state. **What do you dislike about Submittable?** All my submission forms are searchable through google. Some of them are private forms that only those who have the link to submit on but there are many others trying to use the form. A lot of users that we ask for submissions also complain on the fact you need to create an account in order to make a submission. While it's extremely helpful, there should be an option that allows for submissions without creating an account for these. It also intimidates our non tech savvy users. Some time last year, submittable also stopped allowing us to see all the submissions of.a particular submission form at once. You will need to user filters if you want the same effect. **What problems is Submittable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Submittable helps us collect information that we need. With it, we can collect information and data we request of from our selective users. The designed form also allows us to put as much information we need to prevent the FAQ that often happens. ### 13. I can track who has started to work on their proposal review and they can also see our clarifying correspondence with the applicant in real time. The application building process helps us design an application that makes sense to our grantees and eases their burden in applying. **What do you dislike about Submittable?** As with any software updates, it has taken a while to get use to the new Submittable platform changes but in the end, it is worth it. We can now link forms (for example, a final report form) to an application so everything is one place. I think customer support was overwhelmed with the changeover and it took a while for them to reply for help requests. I wish you can have a more direct help line without paying a premium. **What problems is Submittable solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have really expanded what we use Subnmittable for -- applications for training as well as grants, site visit reports, final reports. The more we use it, the more cost-effective it becomes although the price has jumped up in the past few years. Especially while we are all working remotely, being able to collaborate and review applications online has made the administrative load easier and is also easier for our board/reviewers to get everything they need in one place. ### 14. The layout of the program could use a designer to help make it a bit more user-friendly. We moved from a manual, paper- and email-based process so staff, reviewers and applicants also needed time to get used to the new system. **Recommendations to others considering Submittable:** We found the WizeHive team to be responsive. We're happy with the portals they've developed for our small (but mighty) organization. **What problems is Submittable solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our call for proposal process is more efficient and works better for our reviewers and staff. Now that we have an online system, grant recipients will not have to fill out the same sections on more than one form. We will save a lot of time and effort in our reporting period! ### 32.
