## Sublime Text Reviews
  ### 1. Empower Developers with speed, power, simplicity, and versatility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swapnil T. | Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2024

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

What truly stands out is the exceptional startup speed and lightweight performance. Compared to heavier IDEs like Eclipse or STS, Sublime Text launches instantly and allows me to begin coding without delay. The interface is minimal and distraction-free, which helps maintain focus and productivity.

Features like Multiple Cursors, Command Palette, Split Editing, and extensive plugin support significantly enhance efficiency. I also appreciate the strong community support and availability of online resources whenever issues arise. Over time, I have transitioned from Eclipse to Sublime Text, and currently I use it for the majority of my development work due to its simplicity and performance advantage.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

While Sublime Text excels in speed and flexibility, the absence of built-in integrated debugging is a noticeable limitation. Native debugging support would greatly enhance the development workflow and make it more competitive with full-featured IDEs.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

is and very likely its speed. and its design is simple and u can give more focas on your work. u can work with multiple cursors, and most imp rich plugins for yor work.

  ### 2. Fast and simple editor for writing blog and website drafts and notes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ishan S. | Manager and Dietician at Chaitanya Homoeo Clinic, Medical Store Owner, Content Creator, Hospital & Health Care, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

I recently started using Sublime Text for my work as a Dietician & Nutritionist, clinic manager, and health education content creator, and it has settled well into how I prepare my drafts. I mainly use it to write notes and content that later get used for articles shared on different blogs and websites. It opens very fast and feels simple, so I can focus on writing instead of settings or setup.

I use it regularly while working on health-related content and clinic notes. I can keep a few drafts open at the same time and move between them easily when I am preparing material for articles, social posts, or teaching sessions. It has enough features for what I need, but it does not feel heavy or complicated for daily writing work.

It also fits well with how I work because I can prepare content in one place and then use the same material for different platforms when needed. Overall, it has become a comfortable tool for drafting and organizing my content and notes in one place, without slowing down my routine work.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

One small thing I noticed is that if I close a file by mistake, I have to browse again to find and open it. When I am working with many draft files at once, this breaks my flow a bit. Sometimes I also miss having quick previews of files when switching between drafts, especially when many files have similar names.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I recently started using Sublime Text for my regular content and notes work, and it has fitted well into how I prepare drafts for blogs, websites, and social posts. It opens quickly and lets me start writing without any delay, which is useful when I have short time windows for content work.
I can move between different draft files easily while refining points or preparing material for teaching and sharing. This makes my writing flow smoother and helps me stay focused on the content instead of the tool.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sublime Text addresses the issue of sluggish, cluttered editors by providing me with a workspace that is both incredibly fast and free from distractions. **What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

Sublime Text stands out for its exceptional speed and performance, even when handling large files or complex projects. The editor's extensibility through its robust plugin ecosystem allows developers to customize their workflow to match their exact needs. What truly sets it apart is its intuitive interface that strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and power, making it accessible to beginners while offering advanced features that experienced developers appreciate. The combination of lightning-fast response times, extensive customization options, and a clean, distraction-free interface makes Sublime Text an invaluable tool for daily coding tasks.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

While Sublime Text excels in many areas, it falls short in several key aspects. The most significant limitation is its lack of built-in collaboration features, making it challenging for teams working on shared projects in real-time. Additionally, the absence of advanced debugging tools means developers often need to rely on external applications or plugins, which can disrupt workflow efficiency. The update frequency is notably slower compared to competitors like VS Code, resulting in delayed support for newer programming languages and frameworks. The licensing model, while fair, can be confusing with its evaluation period. Furthermore, the plugin ecosystem, while extensive, sometimes lacks consistency in quality and maintenance, leading to compatibility issues with newer versions.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sublime Text streamlines my coding workflow by providing a distraction-free interface that allows me to focus entirely on writing quality code without unnecessary clutter. The quick file navigation feature, especially the 'Go to Anything' functionality, enables me to jump between files and functions instantly, saving valuable time during development. The extensive customization options, including themes, key bindings, and plugins, allow me to tailor the editor to my specific workflow and preferences. These features combined significantly boost my productivity by reducing context switching, minimizing search time, and creating an optimized development environment. As a result, I've experienced noticeably reduced development time and can deliver projects more efficiently while maintaining code quality.

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

As a software developer I'm using Sublime as my default *text editor*, it's super lightweight (even when compared to VS code my favorite IDE).
I really like its minimalism style and for a text editor, it does the job.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

Unfortunately a lot:
1. Really difficult to customize (complex JSON configuration setting)
2. rarely gets updates and when it does there is no detailed release note like in VS code (i'd want to know what being changed detailed release note is crucial)
3. Maybe the worst search box ever, not clear how to configure it to meet my needs.
4.No easy way to install plugins and extensions

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is better than my Mac default text editor as it has a bit moreand for me it solves the need to quick edit a txt csv or even small change in some small standalone code files (NOT project structure files)
I know it has a lot more but see the pain points I mentioned in the previous section.
