## Sublime Text Reviews
  ### 1. Sublime Text: The better editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pranav J. | Digital Specialist Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2022

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

Sublime text is a medium complexity code editor that is robust and helps in agile and fast development. Finding a snippet in middle of thousands of code files is easy and efficient in sublime. Helps when working with a text heavy project. The size of sublime is smaller than competitors like atom and does not shoe response lag issue when working with heavy files like atom does.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

Sublime does not come up with a lot of in built features out of the box. we have to set it up manually for example there is no in built integration of source code repo like git etc. which is necessary for development. Though many external integrations are available like git, svn etc but competitors like atom has those integration out of the box.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

Sublime is the editor to use if you have the use case of a text heavy project or a frontend project. It is best for medium complexity projects

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly use sublime text while working on a text heavy project because of it's efficiency to handle large files without any response lag issues. It's search and find feature is also fast so that saves up a lot of time and I can work frustration-free.

The best part of this editor is that it is a very clean and elegant user interface, which makes it beginner-friendly and easy to use. It is incredibly fast, lightweight, and feature-rich. No matter if I am on OSX/Linux/Windows I can have my familiar editing experience with me. Sublime Text on the other hand is just amazing with its modern look, plug-ins and the ability to theme it.

Continuous pop-up to purchase annoyed me. It's not much flexible for complex projects and doesn't have a built-in spell check feature. I do wish you could print from it.

Sublime Text is a powerful and light tool to code, you can choose from a lot of plugins as you need, the interface is very simple and useful, you can write code for all language.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

If you don't have experience installing plugins, you can take a while configuring it to start coding, the message suggesting you pay for the license is also a bit annoying, but it is a small price to pay for using the tool. but if you can afford it you should pay for it.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With sublime text I have given maintenance to multiple projects in PHP and VUE JS, I have also developed multiple new features for the same languages, if you have configured the necessary plugins it has nothing to envy a traditional IDE

I'm using it for editing text files, codes.

  ### 17. One of the best text editor for C++

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohit S. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

It is the best text editor so far I found for my C++ programming language. It has almost all the features one would require for C++ code editing. I personally like its auto-completion feature very much. It has a free version too for the ones who cannot afford the paid version, but the free version does not have most of the premium version's features.
Last but not least, the coding environment they provide is just excellent and the most attractive thing about this software.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

It does not provide much integration oppertunities which other text editors provide and hence this may also be a deal breaker for some of the developers. Its free version does not have many feautures, therefore, one needs to buy its license to actually understand its ecosystem.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

I would recommend the C++ developers to try out this software once just for the sake of experiencing its ecosystem.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Sublime Text has increased my efficiency by 15-20 %. It also has decent pricing for its premium plans. Mainly I use it for C++ coding and have fallen in love with its ecosystem since I started using it.

  ### 18. Solid code editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JeriBeth S. | Freelance Web Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2016

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

Sublime Text is a versatile code editor that is easy to use. It contains a linter and a variety of plugins to add extra functionality, such as an FTP client. It has a free/trial edition that includes most of the functionality you get with the paid version. It integrates with GitHub well.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

I wish the cost were a bit less, but it is a great editor for what you pay for it. I would like an FTP client to come in the standard package. Some of the plugins are a bit cumbersome for what they offer.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

With a fully loaded free version it's worth a try! I tried using other code editors and always come back to Sublime for its simplicity and ease of use.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am developing websites and applications. Sublime Text makes it easy to switch between multiple tabs/projects and save code snippets for quick future reference.

I most liked in sublime is finding sections of the block or code very easily and hiding complete sections or blocks of code that are grouped automatically that helps me to do not touch unwanted bock.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

Most disliked in the Sublime is doesn't have the terminal option and Git integration as well so If you want to execute the code or use Git then you must have to use the system terminal.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

Best IDE for who is looking for an open-source solution. Easy to use, add many extensions, add a custom rule.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a software developer, I worked on many projects and languages so I don't need to open another editor for different languages. also, I can add rules as per my needs like per line word count, etc. Many other useful extensions are available to use it.

The best feature of Sublime Text is the built-in libraries and auto placement of closing tags that are very helpful for creating static and dynamic web pages. That's why we can save a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

I wish to include in the Sublime text is the classes of Bootstrap; also, some advanced tags will be an excellent help for beginners.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

Some recommendations to use the Sublime text are as follows:
1-It saves a lot of time for lengthy coding.
2-We can get the structure of a web page by typing only the first tag; <html>
3-It increases the efficiency and effectiveness of developing web pages.
4-Tags are automatically closed without manually closing.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some benefits of Sublime text are as follows:
1-Tags are automatically closed.
2-We can get the structure of a web page by typing only the first tag; <html>
3-It increases the efficiency and effectiveness of creating a web page.
4-It also saves a lot of time for lengthy coding.

  ### 23. Sublime text experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikrant B. | Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

It gives us the option to choose between different themes and fonts. It is lightweight in comparison to other code editors. It loads up projects very fast and takes less amount of memory.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

First of all, Sublime Text does not load big projects. It takes a lot of time in JAVA and angular projects and does not even work in Magento Project. Also, I saw limitations in color themes.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

My advice in the case of Sublime Text is that I would suggest someone if they are working on small web designing projects or they are making their personal portfolios. We can also use Sublime Text in WordPress custom theme Customization as well. Also, it can be used to see server log files with better fonts and colors.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At first, I started coding in the bracket code editor, but the user interface of Sublime text was much better from Bracket and it gives a good amount of suggestions in web designing projects.

  ### 24. Easy to use Fast Code Editor

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khawaja A. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

Sublime is unique in a wat that it provides a lightweight development environment. I like how it is easy to use, It provides a lot of shortcut keys, and it is extremely fast to use. Sublime does not chew up your RAM and boots up quickly, unlike many other IDEs ( I have used VsCode, Intelligence, JetBeans, WebStorm). I can easily open multiple projects in different windows, allowing me to work on a variety of tasks.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

The only huge drawback that I find with sublime is that it does not have a built-in terminal which makes you open the windows terminal or PowerShell separately unline VsCode or WebStorm that allow the terminal to be opened inside the editor itself

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

If you are looking for a fast and light weight code editor, give sublime a shot

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am editing my PHP and Javascript code using Sublime because it is fast and consumes less memory and Ram hence saving us a lot of time. The many shortcuts and auto-complete features that it provides increase my productivity exceedingly well.

  ### 25. Really good text editor

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praveen S. | Sr PeopleSoft Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

The indent functionality is the best. Also, the folder navigation panel opens up as an explorer which helps a lot to search the file if I don't remember exactly what file is and dont remember the exact path. The spell check and dictionary are added advantage over other editors. The window split feature too helps a lot.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

By default, the Themes are less. It will be great if some more themes are included in the installation itself. There is no file comparison option. This is just nice to have feature

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

Nothing as such

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps a lot during not only in development activity but also to see my output files. I use this editor for all the temporary stuffs or as a place holder to take any notes during my meetings.

  ### 26. Great text editor

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2022

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

For me, it's a crossover between Notepad++ and Visual studio code. So for my petty tasks, I feel to use this more often than VSC. The UI provides a more premium look than Notepad++.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

The dislike is something which is shared by all the Text Editors i.e. the frequent updates. Although there is a reason to not update them that much but then the user is kind of in dilemma if the new update brings something more good.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

Please try this for your daily language and text uses. I also thought that Notepad++ is the most suitable for me but this provides a premium look and feel with the same features.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with a variety of languages and texts. So for any language syntax validation, it's the go-to tool. We have many client-server products where communication happens with sending and receiving XML. So to check if it's a well formed XML, I use this only.
For the normal texts too, spell check and arranging/formatting happens while using this tool.

  ### 27. Source code editor with excellent tools that supports multiple programming languages

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Informatics Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

Sublime Text is a very versatile source code editor that has a dynamic and clean interface that contains many options and necessary tools depending on the language we edit; it also has a good syntax and editing interface in which we can observe different colors in writing. And variables, as well as a good highlight of possible errors or suggestions to speed up the writing process; it also has a view to being able to change tabs or documents on the same plane and several test and export options.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

I want the program to have more test or preview options to check the code to edit, as well as the display interchange in different operating systems, especially those now focused on mobile devices.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

I highly recommend this program for those who want to edit projects in which they need to switch between several programming languages as well as complex editions and need the same software to show us possible errors in the code to fix them at the time, in the same way, it is also recommended for those who need to work several tabs at the same time with different programming languages and types of codes

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With this software, I edit several projects in which I need versatility when I need to switch between different programming languages as well as have a sample and verification at the time of possible errors that the code may have and also get suggestions as I edit the ones. command lines, this software has several tools to check the project that we are doing as well as a small check; it is also possible to change the programming language between tabs, which I think is very important

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

I have used a few editors like Sublime Text, and all of those were excellent, but the specialty of Sublime Text is that this app is super fast, and you can use it smoothly, even if you have a low PC configuration. Other features are almost standard like other editors apps like Notepad++

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

4. It supports formatting, any code files can be opened in Sublime text so this is a developer's one of the favourites editor.

5. Supports multiple encodings.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

1. Large CSV files takes a lot of time to open and sometimes the app goes into non-responsive mode.

2. When we have multiple tabs, a couple of times i accidentally close while switching to tabs if this UI can be improved then it'll be easy to switch and close tabs.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows you to add package controls very quickly.
It is easy to review and write your codes with colorful coding.
It saves a lot of your time by providing numerous shortcuts.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

I don't prefer using Sublime Text when working on large projects, as it often crashes.
Its boot-up time is a bit slower than other text editors.
It constantly asks you to get a premium license when working on it.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

Keeping into consideration all the pros, I would surely recommend Sublime Text to all the C++ developers.

It's simplicity is the my favorite aspect. It run very smoothly in almost every device having low specifications. I tried many other editors but found the sublime best.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

Almost everything is good but I think that there should be some more features like someone can add some plug-ins for extra functionality as well as there should be a terminal for running the code.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

I recommend to everyone who want to write easy code and a neat code. Then they should be go through the sublime.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using the sublime I used notepad+ but the auto complete feature of sublime make my life easier and save my time. I used to use Google for code syntax but sublime help me to auto complete by typing few words of code.

- Very lightweight, launches fast, works on slow machines
- Multiple platform support (works with Windows, Mac, Linux)

- Plugin support using Python

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

Although there isn't much to dislike about Sublime as it does what it is made for but I would love to have some inbuilt formatting options (format HTML/Python/Java Code). That is just a basic functionality that it should be able to handle without any external plugins.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

If you are starting out or don't have too complex work, or have a slower PC, I would recommend Sublime as it is easy and fast. If you want to work with something more advanced, you can go with IDEs made for specific programming languages.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manu V. | Senoir Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2022

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

The Sublime Text editor is one of the best text editors I have used in my career. Its primary uses are for constructing codes. It supports every programming language globally and provides suggestions and corrections according to the programming language we use. For a junior developer, it's a great tool since it allows for recommendations they feel easy to write codes.
It was my text editor when I started coding, and it helped me a lot.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

As per my usage, there is nothing to dislike about sublime text editors. I'm delighted with this product, and I use it to build small projects. I would still like it to improve extensions and plugins to inherit features of other famous tools that are important for developing applications.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

The Sublime text editor is a good choice for developers to write their codes to develop different applications. From my personal experience, I will recommend others to try this, and you will like it.

  ### 37. Sublime Text - Sophisticated Text Editor

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Priyanshi C. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

Its package control is really easy to work with and most plugins can be installed in just 2 clicks and it is its best feature.
In Sublime text , using colourful coding makes it simple to review or write code and accurate code comparison.
Its boot time is very less, it starts very fastly and it also saves my time a lot also.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

Its git integration is clumsy and sometimes glitchy and it needs a lot of improvement.
Its auto completion is very hard to use. And i hate it most.
It doesn't have ability to mark or highlight the text with different colors. And i think if this feature will be added then it will be good for sublime text.
Sublime text needs a lot of improvement.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

Sublime text free version always show ad of full version but its full version is not worth it . So i think you can find its alternatives who are thinking of sublime text.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 38. a code editor with interesting functions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabian C. | Productor Músical y AudioVisual, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

I like the possibility of having a vertical miniature view, since it allows me to find sections of the code more easily, also the possibility of hiding complete sections of code that are grouped automatically, that helps not to touch unwanted parts.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

It does not have the interface in other languages, it would be good because although the code uses many universal terms in English, this has nothing to do with the menus and submenus of the program, I would like it to be in Spanish.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

learn to use the abbreviated commands, that way the work flows more quickly and comfortably.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have made programs to optimize the information on my website, and to be able to manage the metadata of my publications more quickly, I also make a news section for my recurring users.

  ### 39. Fastest editor on the planet!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bijoy T. | Principal Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

Sublime is easily the fastest code editor I have ever used (I have used Vim, Atom, VS Code, PyCharm). Its support for a plethora of languages is impressive! The editor starts in seconds and can index large code repositories with code written in multiple languages.

The Sublime forums are an excellent place to get questions answered or submit issues.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

Any capabilities beyond editing must be complemented with packages. The Sublime package repository has pretty much any package you will ever want, but more complicated tasks like debugging, evaluating expressions at a breakpoint etc, need a lot of tweaking around.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

As with any editor, try to memorize the keyboard shortcuts to speed up your writing and editing. Search the forums for any questions you may have. Sublime is available for free for an unlimited amount of time. It will just show a notification regarding the free license every time you start it up. In my experience, the cost of $80 to purchase a commercial license is well worth it.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to edit source code in different languages using one single editor is a remarkable aspect of Sublime. The indexing and symbol navigation capabilities are impressive. Several packages are available to improve your software development, such as continuous linting (based on a linter of your choice), excellent integration with Git, automatic code formatting, etc.

  ### 40. Good IDE for beginners and those who don't need a lot of tools to write code!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor M. | Implementation Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Sublime Text?**

Sublime is remarkable for its lightweight development environment. Unlike many other IDE's, Sublime doesn't eat up on your ram and boots up fast. I like how you can switch coding languages at the bottom right of the window, and the syntax changes accordingly. It also comes with a lot of nessesary pre-installed modules. One of those modules is the minimap that lets you scroll through the code very easily. Usually with a lot of other IDE's, this functionality is a plug-in but in Sublime, it exist out of the box.

**What do you dislike about Sublime Text?**

Even though sublime offers a lightweight development environment, it lacks a customizable interface and the addition of modules. If they added additional modules that allow auto-fill when writing code, that would make this IDE great. More things they could add to make this IDE better would be the ability to connect to a Git repository so you can save your work and publish it live.

**Recommendations to others considering Sublime Text:**

If you just started coding or are in the works of finding a lightweight yet straightforward IDE, then Sublime Text works well for you.

**What problems is Sublime Text solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Some problems that Sublime Text IDE helps with is writing up some Javascript code side-by-side without being intrusive. I realized that other IDE, while significant, takes up a lot of the screen, so it's hard to have them next to the browser. The way I use it helps me brainstorm Javascript logic on the side before copy and pasting it to my primary IDE of choice. Other things that helped me is the less amount of RAM that it uses. Since I run a lot of other applications, it helps reduce the amount used to speed up the other applications.

Sublime is more than a text editor because,
