There are a few features that I think the platform could use, such as a mass mute button, maybe another way to use files from your computer as a storage space and there are occasions that the connections are a little off, but overall it is the best platform that I have tried to date, and they are more than willing to listen to our ideas. The biggest issue is having to give my co-producers/directors direct acces to my account. I would like to limit how much access they have. One disgruntled person could destroy and entire network of programing. Recommendations to others considering StreamYard: Spend a little time learning the system. There are several great videos on youtube that do a great job of explaining what does what on the platform. Find a subject that interests you to show a passion about it that will come across to your viewers. Take the time to learn the tricks, and you will start with a fantastic first show. I have now hosted a minimum of two shows a week. Plus, a pop-up show for covering any outer space news and rocket launches at just about any time. I have also hosted a virtual convention last October that ran continuously for FORTY-NINE hours. Never once did StreamYard even have so much as a hiccup. The ease of use, the ability to use .gifs, the ability to stream to more than one platform at the same time. I can show videos which is great. Seeing the user feed is helpful. Being able to make quick graphics is important and it's very easy to do that on streamyard. The ease of being able to do interviews with one or more people. I can send a quick link to someone and have them pop on the show and connect with my customers. Not only does this help our business, but it helps to get attention to the publisher, artist, or writer that we are interviewing. Because of no comic book conventions happening, this is important. There are many things I want to try using streamyard and while it is very easy to learn, I think there is a lot more that I can do with it. Just need to get the time. Also, the customer service is exceptional. I was having a streaming issue and the people that helped on the chat line were extraordinary. What do you dislike about StreamYard? I wish we could show our feed for live comments. When doing live shows to different platforms, people don't see the other platform comments (ie. Facebook users won't see comments from youtube). I also wish that you could choose a side for the pictures used. I would like to be able to be on screen on one side and show a picture of something on the other side. On facebook, I wish we could also stream to our personal pages. I think that may help. What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you? It has basically been a godsend for my business throughout the pandemic. I can show videos and use graphics and more to communicate with my customers. We made a great video to introduce our "show" and without streamyard we couldn't use it. The video has brought attention to our "show" and I think that it has brought customers, too. With our other new business venture, Fourcolorfiends.com, we have been able to utitilize the customer base at Aw Yeah Comics to bring more business to the fourcolorfiends.com site. Also, using .gifs and .jpgs makes the shows more entertaining and engaging. Keeping the audience engaged is half the battle and streamyard helps to do that. We are even thinking about doing more shows than our sales shows, too. A storytime show, final orders show, etc. The ease of interviews is great, too. It's helped to keep us connected through the pandemic. There have been no comic book conventions and a lot of people are needing to feel like they are still connecting. StreamYard was by far the easiest - I might even say "idiot-proof" - streaming software, and we tried several in the early days of the pandemic. Otherwise, I think my only suggestion might be to find a way for producers to login without getting a code through email. I love the fact that you can be punching cameras remotely from another computer. I like the fact that it allows me to put graphics and play videos. This is a great tool to have if you like producing live shows or events. I love that it allows you to go live on multiple platforms. I would love to see a feature that allows you to dissolve between scenes. Even if it is a button with 15 frames dissolve or something like that. I don't need a fader. Also, I would love to have control of the volume of the clips playing. I come from a News background and we usually do a lot of voiceovers, or sometimes we want to play a little bit of the audio but keep the video on and low. There is no way to control the audio of the clips uploaded. I would love to see a place where you can buy templates for graphics, full screens, bullet points, video boxes, things like that. I wish there was a way to play mp3 files or music in the background. I wish there was a way to put the comments received automatically in the stream. Also, a button to turn them off as well. The ease of use with mobile devices has been a highlight. Being able to send anyone a link to join the stream is cool. Even though you can stream to Facebook, YouTube, Twitch and Periscope simultaneously, I'm excited to try the custom rtmp features. Being able to have a custom live stream with comments from all of the different platforms on your own businesses website will be major for small brands in 2021. It will also prove to be the most valuable to musicians and artist alike. Live shows or streaming events live will also be a highlight this year, streamyard with make that way easier. Not being able to stream to Instagram was annoying until I learned about how much cooler it would be to get a custom stream to my brands website. 4K streaming would be cool if it didn't cost too much or require too much upload bandwidth. Not sure how that works. I don't like having to get the log in code emailed to sign in every time. An easier sign would be cool. Maybe Faceid passwords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you? DJing an event was fun. I personally intend on using it as the visual for my podcast whenever we live stream. The ease of use with mobile devices opens all the possibilities of building community online. I'm going to use streamyard to teach people how to read. The greatest benefit I've realized is the custom rtmp feature. I'm excited to get live streams on my brands website. Being able to live stream on multiple social media platforms at once is also an absolute benefit, there's nothing like driving traffic away from social media to your businesses website. It's super easy to use, there's barely a learning curve and you're streaming a professiona looking Live in a matter of minutes. I love that. I currently don't produce a live show for myself but I do for a couple of clients and they're super glad with the results that they get. The best part of Streamyard is the ability to include live guests in a separate feed and integrate that into my own broadcast. Additionally, the ability to highlight comments on the video is invaluable to making other viewers feel included. I like that I can see comments from both of my YouTube streams in one place. Finally, being able to share a split screen with my feed helps me to manage the information I'm trying to share with my viewers so that I'm not just talking about a topic, but showing them where I get the information. The only improvement I would make is being able to identify which stream my commenters are replying to when I'm streaming to multiple platforms. I never know which stream I'm getting comments from. What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you? With streamyard, I don't have to waste time uploading content to my personal and shared streams. I used to use an open source program called OBS Studio, but it was incredibly burdensome and difficult to use. I had to spend a lot of time creating templates and frames that required me to either distract from my feed to manage or have another person in studio with me to manage. With Streamyard, I simply pre-upload the videos or clips I want to use and click them when I'm ready. I can see my guests right below my feed and add them when I'm ready.
