I like how easy for speakers, admins, and social media participants. Also, I like how stable it is in termos of internet bandwith and the expanding features it has such as the new gif option, the sharing of videos from your destop, the expansion to 10 minutos of the uploaded videos. Many times we host events where many people will have a chance to participate but if they log in and are not allowed in the backstage they think there is a problem and we have to communicate with alternative methods. I also dislike the limit of 8 multiple transmissions. Many times we team up with several othet media outlets and each one has a facebook page and a youtube page. For large events we would need around 30 pages. Alternatively, you could figure out a way so that the platform is integrated with facebook in such a way that cross page postings with facebook pages is possible like when you do a live vent directly on faceboook. Finally, the the lack of availability to transmit to instagram, tik tok, spotify, is a negative part. Ideally we would have our transmissions integrated with all our platforms so that we don't have to worry about using other software to capture and transmit to the other platforms. A final and mino thing is that the logo of streamyard (the duck) does not look professional enough sometimes when we propose the use of Streamyard for an event, those who look at you site and see the duck do not get a first impression of being proffesional. Honestly, I love the ability to brand on Stramyard. When we tried doing zoom for our podcast I found it to be very limiting and honestly not that great beyond just being a platform to do "in person" interviews. Streamyard has allowed me to do more with actual branding, the ability to record the video and the audio is great since we utilize both for the podcast, as well as being able to have a wide array of places to integrate the live functions of FB/YT and twitch. Honestly, the ONLY gripe i would have is maybe allow for the ability to download seperate tracks for the people talking, or at least one local track and a secondary one for whomever you're talking to to allot for a easier mixing, as sometimes when both people are talking it creates a weird effect where it cuts both out. For me, this allows me to have the best of a few differnt resources to make recording a podcast a lot easier. I can set up rooms ahead of the scheuled interview and send links to the publicists, it records both audio and video at same time, so Im not having to runa few diffrernt programs, or buy seperate programs to work congruently like i was before with Skype and Ecamm Recording. I'm able to incorporate our branding, which keeps things consistent for our YT presence. Streamyard has really allowed me to cut down on a few unneccsary steps in my recording/editing process. Its very easy to setup platform that can stream to multiple streamming services at same time. What do you dislike about StreamYard? Its not working as intendet under FireFox browser. Choosing audio source is not possible. I would like to see option for adding video url (ex. youtube) to be played directly into the stream instead of capturing an extra screen. Option for screen sharing on mobile is very big deal. I have tried virtually every type of stream software/service there is, and SY was the one that suited me most. Very easy to integrate with third-party software as OBS, which is very important in my case. Also very beneficiary is the fact when you are on to go, you can actually use StreamYards overlays to fix your stream to look professional quickly. Streamyard is very easy to use and learn, and since I have been using the service, i have the mid-level package, i have seen system improvements so I know that they are just continually trying to improve and add more useful features. The cost is fairly ok, not the cheapest - but not the most costy, but I like that we can bring in video from not only a share screen on a different tab, but also share a video file now---for those file that are to big to upload to the system. Streamyard gives me the best control over a broadcast, and I can quickly bring on guests and remove guests. I can broadcast to all of my social media at one time. There is limitless potential with Streamyard. I also love how the names are displayed and how you can have a background photo. Adding videos and clips makes it look even more professional. One being that my regular laptop (which is brand new) makes the picture pretty blurry, even with a 720 webcam. I hope this improves. StreamYard is easy to use; their support is responsive to your needs; no software to download; they continue to add new features, and they've had no downtime as far as I've been aware. After each stream, they offer you the option to make a suggestion, and more than once, they've implemented such a suggestion that benefits the creator community. My biggest problem with StreamYard is the cost of their basic and premium packages. I don't mind paying for quality software, but StreamYard feels overpriced for the benefits they provide over their free package. Recommendations to others considering StreamYard: Stream Yard is much more intuitive than the other platforms, and it looks just as good. It is a little less flexible in its layouts, but for me, that is worth it given how easy it is to operate and manage. I cannot be thinking about producing complicated transitions, etc., while I'm trying to focus on my content, so Stream Yard works best for me while teaching online. I also love how it automatically streams to YouTube and other social media pages. The other platforms don't offer that as a simple click like Stream Yard does.
