## StreamYard Reviews
 ### 1. Seamless and professional live streaming made easy!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marina C. | Head of Marketing, Education Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2024

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

StreamYard keeps live streaming super easy and professional. I love the intuitiveness of the platform, right from no downloads to direct streaming via your browser. We use it to host webinars with our clients and potential ones, as a lead gen initiative. Being able to customize branding, adding overlays, and inviting guests with only a link has been incredible. It's super reliable, even during multiple streams to different platforms at the same time. From webinars to interviews, StreamYard sends off live events in truly polished, engaging ways.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

I do find it a bit expensive, especially for smaller teams or businesses just starting out. Given the ease of use, reliability, and professional features that it offers, I think it's worth investing in. It saves so much time and gives great results; hence, it is worth it as far as live streaming is concerned.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

StreamYard has made it super easy to run professional live streams, webinars, and virtual events without needing technical expertise or complicated setups. It removes the need for expensive production equipment and complex software to allow us to produce high-quality, branded content directly from our browser.

This really opened up our reach and engagement to stream simultaneously on multiple platforms, meeting our audience wherever they are. Its collaboration with team members is super smooth: inviting guests, controlling the stream in real time-everything's pretty seamless. Overall, this saved time, simplified our workflow, and really raised the quality bar of our live content.

 ### 2. I was great now is to expensive

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose Mari A. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

easy to use, great quality, good price, supe high end look

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

the new price it has increase too much adn now there is many competitors.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was to hard or compicate to record and edit my podcast individually

 ### 3. Apt for live presentation, small group meeting.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rianka S. | Assistant Professor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2022

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

Very easy to connect, ideal for non-tech friendly people.

Has option of being in the backstage.

Best for live presentations, events and podcasts.

Doesn't need any app installation

Has options of moderation, screen recording, event scheduling, multiple screen, customizable branding,

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

If internet connection of one person is disturbing, the entire session gets affected.

The screen sharing option is tacky.

Needs good and stable internet connection, otherwise it can cause disruptions.

Connection is frequently lost in between

Only 6 on-screen participants are allowed within the window.

Has only one audio track and does not allow post-editing while live streaming

Customer service isn't that good.

Media player is limited to a small size, only 100 MB

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamyard is working on its internet glitch issues. It is one of the biggest drawback of Streamyard. If this is sorted, streamyard is perfect for use within small group. Apart from it, they are also introducing new features and increasing the number of people allowed. Streamyard is also working on the customer service.

 ### 4. StreamYard is a great service for creators, businesses, and more

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mekel K. | Content Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2023

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

I like the ease of use and setting up of StreamYard to be able to record conversations of either video or audio format as well as being able to multistream to various platforms.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

I dislike the general lack of a discounted price for StreamYard partners or atleast when I was part of their partner program. Alot of the pricing plans are beaten out by competitors such as Melon and Restream as well as them offering more features and functionality.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I started using StreamYard, it was making it incredibly easy for me to be able to do interviews with guests on my podcasts and either record or livestream my show on various outlets. Before StreamYard, I had to struggle with using Skype and Discord with varying quality.

 ### 5. Fun and New but Nothing Amazing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harrison D. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2022

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

I like how easy it is to bring viewers into the stream and see feedback from anyone watching. This tool has allowed us (in the trial phase) to reach our team more efficiently than we had before. We can even have clients join a stream to watch us work or present in live time.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

Streamyard does not have as many features as more popular options such as Zoom and Google Meets. The audio and video quality also lacks behind their competitors significantley.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using StreamYard to break away from the popular platforms with security issues. The switch to StreamYard started in 2020, and we stopped using Streamyard in 2021. Our clients enjoyed the experiences, but it is evident that it was not significantly more helpful to the better known and more accessible to use options.

 ### 6. Great Streaming, Branding and Customizability - HORRIBLE LOGIN EXPERIENCE

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eirik S. | Product Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2021

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

Things I like:
- The flexibility you have with branding is impressive. You can select the styling for the live comments that come up during the stream. You can choose coloring options via HEX for most of the on-screen elements. And you can add your own logo and full-screen overlays to streams
- The multi-person streaming feature is seamless. We have not used it yet, but plan to have live guests on our live streams in the future.
- The private chat for guests of the live stream is wonderful

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

Things I dislike:
- It would be nice to have an easier way to switch overlays during the live stream. The overlay selection is hidden in the branding menu, so when you are mid-stream and looking at comments, you have to click away from the comments tab and into the branding tab to change the full-screen overlay.
- The single code login is excellent for solo operators, but for teams, it's HORRIBLE. I can't update our company Streamyard account settings unless I have the account owner login to their email and send their login code. What kind of app doesn't have an email/password login? And they don't have great team settings either!

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a better way of managing our Live Streams for community Q&As

 ### 7. Excellent

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana P. | Marketing and communications manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2021

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

Easy and intuitive. Allows co-hosts. Can stream to 3 destinations at the same time. It keeps the recent streams for backup. Doesn't requires a lot of cpu demand to stream. Don't need to download any app to work.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

The sound in streams is not very good, even when we use interfaces and professional mics. Would love to have something like an audio Mixer or a way to have a visible way to measure volume, not only by "ear". Also, some filters for video, very popular in Zoom to blur backgrounds would be very useful. Even when it doesn't use a lot of cpu demand, it consumes a lot of internet. Sometimes it doesn't work without a coaxial cable connected directly to the router or with the cellphone's internet data. It's kind of expensive, considering the "pro" results given by apps like OBS.

**Recommendations to others considering StreamYard:**

Try the free account before paying it and see if it reaches your needs. I recommend it because it is easy to work with it.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamyard has been very useful during this time that the don't have meetings in person, but now that we are considering going back on a mixed structure, we have a debate within using OBS or Streamyard because of sound quality and prize. On the other hand, Streamyard is easier to use and more people in our team can handle it.

 ### 8. A great tool for livestreaming

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2022

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

I can stream to multiple platforms simultaneously. I can add comments on the screen. I can also brand my broadcasts by configuring colors and uploading images, GIFs, and videos.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

I can't Invite more than six remote guests to join the broadcast. It is based on the cloud so, I can't download it and have it on my computer, and that's something that I can do in OBS Studio, for example.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I need to do multistream, I usually use it. This is definitely a time saver, and it has made a significant difference in my ability to create content quickly.

 ### 9. Best simple option but does not work for everything

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rael M. | Co-director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

I like how easy for speakers, admins, and social media participants. Also, I like how stable it is in termos of internet bandwith and the expanding features it has such as the new gif option, the sharing of videos from your destop, the expansion to 10 minutos of the uploaded videos.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

I dislike the small number of people allowed in the backstage. Many times we host events where many people will have a chance to participate but if they log in and are not allowed in the backstage they think there is a problem and we have to communicate with alternative methods. I also dislike the limit of 8 multiple transmissions. Many times we team up with several othet media outlets and each one has a facebook page and a youtube page. For large events we would need around 30 pages. Alternatively, you could figure out a way so that the platform is integrated with facebook in such a way that cross page postings with facebook pages is possible like when you do a live vent directly on faceboook. Finally, the the lack of availability to transmit to instagram, tik tok, spotify, is a negative part. Ideally we would have our transmissions integrated with all our platforms so that we don't have to worry about using other software to capture and transmit to the other platforms. A final and mino thing is that the logo of streamyard (the duck) does not look professional enough sometimes when we propose the use of Streamyard for an event, those who look at you site and see the duck do not get a first impression of being proffesional.

**Recommendations to others considering StreamYard:**

Make sure it serves your purposes considering the ample features but also the limitations.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are hosting media events.

 ### 10. StreamYard is your best choice for broadcasting panels on YouTube and other platforms

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph D. | Founder & CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

StreamYard is easy to use; their support is responsive to your needs; no software to download; they continue to add new features, and they've had no downtime as far as I've been aware. After each stream, they offer you the option to make a suggestion, and more than once, they've implemented such a suggestion that benefits the creator community. They offer a generous free tier for those trying out their offerings.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

My biggest problem with StreamYard is the cost of their basic and premium packages. I don't mind paying for quality software, but StreamYard feels overpriced for the benefits they provide over their free package. I feel their prices should be closer to 50% of what they currently offer and/or a more significant discount for paying annually rather than monthly.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When Google stopped allowing Google Hangouts to be available to all and stream panel discussions on YouTube StreamYard came to the rescue with their package and it works very well and continues to impove.

 ### 11. Super simple set up, ready to start to broadcast.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis S. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2021

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

It is very easy to use, but more importantly, it is easy to set up. You just create an account, and login to the services where you want to stream, (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitch...).
You don't have to set up keys. Streamyard connets and sets up the stream automatically.
It is also easy to have guests, you just share a link with them and they just have log in with Facebook or YouTube.
Another thing I like is that if you get disconnected form the Internet, you stream isn't terminated. If you have a guest, the guest may continue streaming.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

I don't like that know the guests have to log in via Facebook or YouTube. Before the guests didn't have to be logged to any account.

**Recommendations to others considering StreamYard:**

You just have to have an account in the platform where you want to stream, it is easy to set up. They don't stream to Instagram.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solved that I don't have to connect the service to the platforms where I have to stream with keys and other complicated processes.

 ### 12. Good for Beginner Youtuber and podcasters

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Khalid K. | Senior Editor & Head of Talent Acquisition , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2021

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

The best thing about the platform is that it is completely web-based. You don't need to download any software for streaming. You just need good internet and you're good to go.

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

It consumes RAM which if obvious but considering it is a web application the RAM consumption should be low.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

my company also trains people who're interested in web development. I take frequent podcasts and stream yard helped me a lot in doing so. It also has a free plan which is best for beginners and youngsters who want to start their youtube journey.

 ### 13. Streamyard is very user friendly

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danni A. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2021

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

What I like best about Streamyard is how easy it is to use. As someone who is not highly technical I was able to create my first broadcast right away and it went well!
I have expanded to doing twice a week broadcasts that I can schedule ahead and it's cool I can see both Facebook and YouTube comments in my chat!

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

I wish I could see the colors of the people chatting as I can on YouTube. It would also help to know when a comment has been removed by one of my moderators and this is not possible.

**Recommendations to others considering StreamYard:**

I would recommend getting the upgraded version if you are serious about your business. This allows you to use your own branding and stream to multiple channels.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like to be able to stream to multiple places. I like having my custom logo and scrolling information on the screen. I also use the screenshare feature a lot and this is awesome for what I do!

 ### 14. Why Stream Yard works for me

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ed T. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2021

**What do you like best about StreamYard?**

Ease-of-use and reliability Make this platform good

**What do you dislike about StreamYard?**

Green screen and video playing or buggy on my otherwise very fast Mac. Spent hours with customer support trying to fix this. No good.

**Recommendations to others considering StreamYard:**

Make sure you have the best and fastest computer on the market. It works great with problems with green screening and chrome screen sharing. Videos are choppy. I'm on a MacBook Pro 2015 that screams for everything else. There's something up with this platform. For basic use it's excellent.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The system with me connect with a community of people, especially during the pandemic, and this has let me be actively and favorably remembered as a leader.

Does not always connect properly with Facebook. This means it is not always possible to see the comments being posted on Facebook. However, this might be a Facebook issues rather than Streamyard.

**What problems is StreamYard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to do Facebook Lives to by profile using multiple camera's. This is useful as I do cooking demonstrations and can have a camera showing the cooking and one on me as I cook. Just using a mobile phone and tablet for the cameras.

I can also use it for meetings and record it in case I need to refer back to what was said.
