You still have to google a lot of settings that they don't just have it set up for ease of use. The support staff isn't that great or bright. It took them a week to tell me what I already knew that there was a issue with the login service. But they didn't care and I couldn't use the program for over a week before they let me know they were finally working on the issue since it's affecting more people. Go figure right **What do you dislike about Streamlabs?** support staff were no help. i can log in to streamlabs.com via the facebook log in but on the application for stream labs i get an error. its curretly 1.4.0 on the version. Ever since the update nothing but issues. they want to tell me its a facebook issue and to contact them even though it only doesn't work via the stream labs app. **Recommendations to others considering Streamlabs:** Obs works as good as it. You just might have to spend a little more time learning it but don't waste your money on streamlabs. **What problems is Streamlabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** none. it doesn't work ### 2. Not as functional as free OBS **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Stan Z. | Sexton, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2021 **What do you like best about Streamlabs?** I stream on multiple platforms at the same time, Streamlabs can do this. **What do you dislike about Streamlabs?** I tested Streamlabs OBS for four days at my church and found that it didn't have the same level of functionality as free OBS. I created 4 or 5 short streams of less than 5 minutes. They only way I could test it for my church was to subscribe. Since it did not function as well as regular OBS I requested a refund. I was denied. If you want a refund of the Prime version you must request it within one hour of your subscription. How can you test all of the functions in one hour? If you have the Pro version you can cancel up to 14 days after you subscribe. But the more expensive Prime version cannot be cancelled for a refund. So now my church is stuck with an annual subscription for a product that won't work for us. I would STRONGLY recommend using XSplit if you need dual streams. The tech support people there will work with you almost immediately. I was testing Streamlabs OBS because the interface looked simpler, I need other people to fill in for me. I guess it's simpler for a reason. **Recommendations to others considering Streamlabs:** I would recommend using the free version of OBS **What problems is Streamlabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Trying to make streaming easier ### 3. These tools, while not providing much customization beyond layouts design, do serve as a foundation to build a more robust streaming presence. **What do you dislike about Streamlabs?** From a practical perspective, the software solutions are extremely bloated and unreliable compared to other live-streaming software. These solutions be replaced easily with better tools by those who know how to implement them, and communities exist to help smooth that implementation process. Holistically, multiple other livestream services have provided evidence that Streamlabs plagiarizes their features and their marketing copy. While these business practices do not disqualify the software, they make the decision to support the company untenable if better options exist elsewhere. **Recommendations to others considering Streamlabs:** Before making the decision to invest in Streamlabs, ensure that you have thoroughly explored other solution providers. The Streamlabs software is more taxing on a computer's memory and processor than other software solutions in the field, so ensure whatever device you are streaming from is technically able to run both the software to stream as well as the content being streamed at a high level. **What problems is Streamlabs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlabs allowed us to get off the ground with a live-stream setup without working to build stream elements and moderation tools from scratch.
