"Stream Makes Real-Time Chat Integration Effortless for Developers"
What do you like best about Stream?

I really like how Stream provides a powerful, developer-friendly API for building chat and activity feed features quickly. The documentation is clear, SDKs are well-structured, and the integration process feels smooth. It saves a huge amount of development time compared to building real-time chat or feed systems from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stream?

There isn’t much to complain about, though the pricing may seem somewhat steep for smaller projects or startups, particularly as user numbers grow. Some of the more advanced customization features also demand a solid grasp of the SDKs, which might be difficult for those just starting out. Furthermore, a handful of features would benefit from additional examples or tutorials to help make the onboarding process quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Integration and Excellent Documentation for Developers"
What do you like best about Stream?

As working as developer, building chat or activity feeds are headache, it takes lot of time in coding and setting up things, stream took of all that with simple API and good documentation, integration was easy and fast, i have integrated stream in few projects now, the SDK's are easy to work with Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stream?

the documentation is good, but i wish there would be some more real world documentation with asp.net examples, setting up authentication and token was bit hard Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely simple Feed tech to implement, but pricing is excessive"
What do you like best about Stream?

This product delivers on its promises. The API is thoughtfully organized, and the documentation is sufficiently clear, making integration a straightforward process. You can set up a working feed system quickly, avoiding the hassle of building one from scratch. It has proven to be reliable and maintains good performance during typical usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stream?

The pricing is far higher than what seems reasonable for most use cases. As your user base expands, the costs increase at an unreasonable rate. It gives the impression that the platform is designed primarily for enterprises unconcerned with budget limitations. The dashboard is quite basic, the analytics offer little value, and after the initial months, the overall value simply doesn't match the price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Video Sharing with Stream, But Upload Speed and Search Need Improvement"
What do you like best about Stream?

I like Stream application because it is easy to use and connects well with teams and SharePoint. It makes the video sharing and training simple for everyone. It saves meeting recordings automatically and provides captions, helping teams to stay organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stream?

Video uploads in Stream can be slow at times, and the search option does not always find specific content easily. Limited storage and basic analytics make it hard to manage large videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dealer-FX: Boosting Communication Efficiency & User Retention with Stream"
What do you like best about Stream?

Stream's Chat API has been super helpful for Dealer-FX, making it easy our customers to connect and communicate better. We were able to build a really simple, but customized communication platform using Stream's flexible API that supports direct messaging and group chats. This integration has been really important in keeping 90% of our users engaged. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stream?

We're pretty happy with Stream and all the benefits it's brought to our operations, but we feel like we could be getting even more out of it. It would be awesome if we could get more proactive guidance on how to use all of Stream's features, especially some of the more advanced stuff like slash command updates, AI chat, or voice and video chat options. If we could hear about best practices and cool ways other industries are using Stream, that would really help us unlock some new communication capabilities on our platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient and easy-to-use platform, with a couple growing pains"
What do you like best about Stream?

For the most part, it's been quite easy to implement Stream in our mobile apps and integrate with some associated internal services. It worked out-of-the-box for the vast majority of our needs, and it's been pretty flexible for some unique use cases in our business. The API and SDK documentation has overall been thorough, accurate, and easy to consume. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stream?

Our team has encountered a couple bugs, both transparently in the SDK and more opaquely in the platform. For example, some unknown change in their platform caused images in our app to miss their CDN for an extended period of time. Their support/success managers are usually quick with an intial response, but often need to involve technical team members with, unsurpisingly, less expedient communication. "Replaced an 8 Year Old Messaging System with Stream Chat"
What do you like best about Stream?

Stream is feature rich with a great development environment.

The Technical and Support Staff are very good.

The end result is a well integrated Chat System that supports FamilySearch and our yearly RootsTech Conference. We had over 600,000 messages sent in Feb. 2024. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stream?

Some issues arose, but resolved promptly by the Stream Chat team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
