## Strapi Reviews
  ### 1. Strapi, a modern CMS that delivers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi is modern, flexible, stable, easy to use and impressively well designed. The admin page is intended to be customizable by overriding if needed. The ability to create custom user roles is a must. Dynamic Zones make it very easy to create flexible, reusable content models.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

It's not currently possible to use nested Dynamic zones inside another component.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None

  ### 2. Perfect product ,cannot recommend enough.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josef V. | Ředitel pro technologie, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Customazibility, written in React and javascript

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Sometimes there can be bugs that are not easy to resolve nor debug.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Open source CMS

  ### 3. Simple, Efficient, and Awesome

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

As we plan to transition to the Jamstack, we were directed to use a headless CMS. Strapi looked like a good option, so we looked into getting it all set up. Within minutes, we had something better than we previously had. Our developers were amazed with how quickly we were able to plug our data, and how we could have non-technical employees use it as well for data-entry and manipulation.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

So far, not many dislikes. My main dislike is not being able to manipulate the "id" field. I'd like to use a slug for it rather than a incremental number, but in the documentation, it says it is being worked on for Strapi V4.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Besides the "id" problem, not much else. One of the major benefits is definitely allowing non-technical employees to be able to manipulate data and add information without the need of having a developer or engineer doing it for them. It definitely can speed up many bottlenecks in our workflow.

  ### 4. Loving the accessible for all interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leyla C. | Community development coodinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Our team of developers are doing their best to make us feel comfortable using the back end of our game app. They were able to create a wizard for us ! I love that you, although the interface is intuitive, you can get help if needed. Thanks to Strapi you can keep things simple and functional for optimal results. My experience with this ongoing project has been really pleasant and user-friendly for every level of tech savyness ;)

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Still learning but haven't had any bad experience so far, will update if we do with time.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enables all the stakeholders (other non-for profits in different cities of BC, Canada) to be responsible for their part of the game and be able to upload and update their own content freely with no cost.

  ### 5. Made life easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Easy to set up backend and saved hours from creating APIs. Even our non-technical admin can easily manage many features using Strapi GUI.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Not found so far. Maybe I can add UI is that not responsive and components get overlapped on a smaller window. But not much of a bother anyway.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to create all basic APIs through quickstart backend setup. We are saving lots of time.

  ### 6. Amazing Application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

My organization has been looking for a long time to get out of using WordPress and I've looked into different options, Laravel, a full React-based static site with all the back end handled by a SaaS, but my team loved using the "simple" interface of WordPress and after I found this product and my team loved it, I know this was the keeper.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I'm not too sure if this product has been around for a while or is new, but it could use a lot more plugins that are easy to install just like WordPress and it's easy to use WYSIWYG editors, but other than that this product is pretty cool.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using a Javascript-based application has just been fun, learning and using getting of a PHP based application I can already see all the speed and usage improvements

  ### 7. Empowering our Non-Profit to create customers experiences that are accessible for any user.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Just watching an idea become a meaningful experience for our team and customers do not happen simultaneously. Especially, when we had to use two different teams dedicated for ios or android design features or functions. It's the user-friendly interface that's empowering our team to integrate their favorite tools without requiring intense technical knowledge aquisition.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

New to Strapi, therefore I don't have any dislikes at the time.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

For non-profit leaders, we recommend Strapi because its making a big difference with our time-to-deployment

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strapi allows our Non-profit to simplify a fragmented procurement ecosystem for historically underutilized businesses and underfunded social entrepreneur projects that improve their local communities.

  ### 8. The best CMS ever seen

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vidura W. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It is 100% codeless. Creating custom content types and roles, giving permissions, creating APIs are very easy with the Strapi. Everything can be done using the admin panel. They have nice documentation as well.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The richtext editor has a limited number of functionalities. Better if can add more functionalities.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am creating a blog publishing site and needed an admin panel for all the authors to add content.

  ### 9. I love Strapi!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia A. | Customer Service Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi allows me to build React apps with functionality that would require a backend about 10x faster than I would typically take me if I had to code a backend from scratch. It also provides so many extra features and is constantly being updated and improved.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

If you upgrade Strapi versions and have customized the admin portal by overriding files, you can run into problems quickly but it's still doable!

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

Create a mobile app or making the admin portal mobile-friendly!

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is quickly integrating a backend & database to my websites.

  ### 10. Both Client and Developer friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John Z. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The ability to generate a REST API very quickly through the Admin UI. Also, the option to easily extend policies, services and middleware programmatically. Strapi hits the sweet spot in terms of catering to both the end-user and developer.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I like to use Typescript in backend projects. Unfortunately, there is no support for Typescript currently. Also, I cannot hide selected collections easily in the admin UI based on user role/permissions. There are workarounds to accomplish this, though.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

Read their documentation regarding backend customization to understand the full capabilities of Strapi.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building the backend to a booking system. Faster time to delivery.

  ### 11. Good cms for javascript developer

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It is javascript based, graphql support, and the ability to run it locally.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Too many bugs, the free tier is trash, there is only 3 roles in the free tier, you can't even delete one of them. No typescript version out of the box.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making API mockup real quick for demo showcase

  ### 12. One of the best node.js based content management systems

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It's very easy to setup strapi. Difference user interaces help you to create content types, releations and fields without any need to code. It comes with a REST and GraphQL API out of the tools, which provide a very good developer experience.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The GraphQL endpoint becomes slowly once you are using more content types with many relations, but the core team is working on that. Also dynamic zones could be more intuitive to use.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strapi helps us to organize content that is clearly structured (Events) aswell as generic pages, which are embedding other content types.

  ### 13. Great Headless CMS perfect for any Jamstack project

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2021

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

- Would like more default plugins
- Handling of media files could be better

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a flexible system that allows multiple types of users to add and edit content. Also, being Headless makes it very easy to consume the data.

  ### 14. Experiences with Strapi

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi is a flexible solution for the website's backend. It also seems easy to learn for content producers.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

We have had some problems with long words in titles (our native language has long compound words).

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Strapi for the backend database for our website. It is easy to manage the data of our website with Strapi.

  ### 15. Best headless CMS for developers and non-developers

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Changing the admin page requires a lot of work

  ### 16. Flexible and easy to use

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

- Devs are happy about easy setup and easy handling
- Backend is lean and easy to use

- you need experienced Devs to create a good structure for big websites

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strapi is flexible to adapt to your needs.
You can go a long way with the free version.

  ### 17. I missed the opportunity of my dreams because I didn't know strapi before.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

In general, the resources are extremely simple and give a perfect speed in developing and deploying applications.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The way to perform the relationship between tables in the many-to-many format is still not user-friendly.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it to support a simple backend framework to gather human resource information in just one place, much like a blog framework and adding some tooling features.

  ### 18. Comprehensive User guide

**Reviewed by:** Ceciel Z. | student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** IET NITK A. | Webmaster, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

One-click deploy to Heroku, Ease in configuration

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Nothing as such. Its slightly slow to load on first time, otherwise quite good. There's very good customer support, so all problems are fixed immediately.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've basically opened up our website for every kind of content writer. Previously all content had to go through the Webmaster, and not many have coding background. However, now all members can contribute with ease.

  ### 21. Detaching the head of our CMS.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mansoor R. | Web Developer

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The user interface for Strapi is incredibly modern and intuitive. As a beginner developer, it has made things a lot easier to grasp as I work my way through tutorials, the Strapi Academy and the documentation.

Additionally, the support and help I received from Strapi before even getting started was outstanding.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

As I expected with moving from WordPress to Strapi, there are some features that are easily available in WP that aren't in Strapi. The community is active though and so usually there are plugins to help with most general cases.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a CMS that is detached from any specific frontend makes updating repeating content very easy.

  ### 22. Best headless CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Just the best CMS. It's headless and help to make a secure and easy database and authentification backend system.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I didn't find the way to secure access to media library.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a simply and secure authentification system and database system.

  ### 23. Strapi Now Helps Academic Institutions and Nonprofits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edwin Fernando G. | AWS Educate | AWS Technical Training Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

We love that Strapi is Omnipresent! our students can choose any Frontend Frameworks, Any RESTful or GraphQL, we can integrate it with everything!

We have always seen strapi pomo interest to integrate it into our academic training curriculum but due to costs they were impossible for our students.

Now that they arrive at our institution with the new Strapi Enterprise Bronze Edition plan for students, non-profit organizations and open source projects we can think about changing our academic curriculum and integrating Strapi into our courses and that our students are the beneficiaries of this great contribution from Strapi! Thank you!

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

We could say that allow to customize even more UI.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our students in their training of the AWS Platform are adapting new stacks in their study curricula and now we can integrate JAMStack, Headless CMS with Strapi and we deploy in AWS we are complete to develop the new web of the future with them.

  ### 24. Amazing experience with Strapi in production

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter Aleksander B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

How easy it is to get started. You literally have a single CLI command, go through the process of setting up the connection to the database, and you're ready to work.

From there, the UI/UX is great. During the development, it's important that prototying is FAST, which it is. The customization of views and data types is just the cherry on top.

Support for GraphQL comes in form of a plugin that you install with a single click. That's it. Now you have GraphQL. In a single click.

The documentation is automatically generates for your API is concise and to the point.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I'm waiting for out-of-the-box TypeScript support. It's planned, so I'm not worried.

Sometimes, the UI shows an error when updating the component, even though the operation was successful. You just refresh the page and it works.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you need to tinker around with the source, the official documentation has all the information written in a legible and concise way. At our company, we have created everything from custom views, modified the branding, colors, etc.

To put it in perspective: we had a detailed plan on how our API should look like, and we knew what the CMS system needs to have. From start until we were able to deploy to testing phase, it took less than an hour.

We created all the custom views and branding modifications, deployed to production in a single day.

  ### 25. Open Source, Customisable, Easy to setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It's quite fast to set up a new Strapi instance for a Jamstack project. The frontend can consume the editor's content with the GraphQL API.
You can use an S3-based API to consume your assets. It supports multiple languages also! And the UI is quite nice for editors !

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Nothing really bad, but it could be nice to have more features like a deploy button to publish your content on demand. However, you can implement such features by customizing it!Also, the Strapi team is working hard to add a lot of new features!

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allow editors to provide structured content in a Jamstack project.

  ### 26. The best headless CMS for Next.Js websites!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca H. | Lead Front-end Developper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

- it recently supports Internationalization
- the UI is beautiful
- role management is very detailed and clear

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

- That there is no cloud service yet but it's now coming from what I saw!

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- the non-dev team will be able to edit and add content, which will free their time to code real stuff
- better interface overall, and scalable website.

  ### 27. A simple and direct approach for an efficient api dev

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephan G. | Web Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The hability to self host the product and keep the data at bay. Strapi makes it easy to create and use a customized api that meets the needs of the association in terms of managing its websites and applications.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The product is still relatively new, some things are still not fully working and working with internationalization is still quite challenging.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strapi helps us moving from a slow and monobloc solution to something more agile. We can focus on content management and creation, and less on website maintenance.

  ### 28. Enjoying Strapi!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anita A. | VP, Products, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Very easy to adopt, wonderful client service and good pricing.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Not the easiest to customize, according to our dev team, but gave us a lot of the major stuff we needed out of the box

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick time to production. It would've taken us much longer without it

  ### 29. Impressed with initial set-up and usability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jaron H. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Simple interface, customizable power, solid APIs, open-source

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Tools for keeping data in sync between different environments are currently lacking

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using Strapi on a new project, so we don't have a ton of experience, but initial implementation has been straightforward, and documentation has been good.

  ### 30. Developing an API server became a fun thanks to Strapi

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kibong M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2020

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

1. Automatic GraphQL schema generation based on models created by the content-types builder
2. Lifecycle hooks

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I cannot complain about Strapi because it's beyond my expectations and it's not easy to find any flaw in Strapi. However, I found Strapi doesn't support the subscription operation out of the box which is one of the key reasons I have chosen GraphQL. But I found a workaround and it works well seamlessly. So there's nothing I dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

Anyone who has much experienced with API/model development would find it saves a lot of time and effort to use Strapi.
Anyone who is not familiar with and afraid of developing an application regardless of whether it be a CMS, a blog, an app or a simple website would be relieved if he/she follows the getting started or watches recipe videos.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I believe all of the business logic should be implemented at server side and the client application should focus UX/UI only. But it's easier said than done. When we realize that there's something wrong with our project and wish to refactor the source codes both on client- and server-side, we don't have much time left. However, with Strapi you can rewrite the APIs at anytime in a couple of days. That's actually what happened in my company. We've decided to re-do our work that had taken a year so far because we were assured that it would be much faster to deliver our product rather than to be stuck with spaghetti codes of previous work.

  ### 31. Flexible and Convenient CMS.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinith T. | Undergraduate Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

With Strapi, making a CMS is way easier. Managing content and exposing as an API for a suitable frontend application has never been this easier. With the flexibility, it is much easier to work with a wide variety of popular Databases and Technologies.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Community edition has too many limitations.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

If you are trying to find a customizable backend application with database integration, this is more than amazing

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing content for simple web applications. Easiness to understand and use.

  ### 32. Great NodeJs CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phat P. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

- Support GraphQL.
- Highly customizable.
- Good documentation.
- Update frequently.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

- The free plan supports only three roles.
- The interface is ok but not as friendly as other CMS I have used.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have searched for a CMS support GraphQL to connect to my frontend application. I found Strapi to support GraphQL with ease. Besides, the loading speed is fast.

  ### 33. Build a complex API in 5 minutes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

I really enjoy how easy Strapi is. You can build complex APIs including relation, automatic slug, field assertions and so on. You can also define multiple roles and give different read / write / update / delete conditions for each of these roles. You can also give more complex permissions with just a click like "a user can update a resource only if he created it".

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Roles management for community edition is quite restrictive. It may not be an issue with other editions but I couldn't try it at this time. Anyway, pricing are quite expensive for small companies.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the time I write these lines, I've only used Strapi for local development. But it really helped me to develop faster. I used to develop my APIs from scratch.

Strapi came at the right time when I was looking for a way to build a custom and light-weight API driven Content Management System for my Project. I got started with few hours of watching tutorials and reading the documentation. It was a real life-saver.
