## Strapi Reviews
  ### 1. Learning Strapi

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Web Dev, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Seems like a great way to build API driven aps quickly.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I've encountered some bugs and some things seem to be more difficult than they have to be. It's definitely not plug and play. Strapi takes some time and patience to learn but once you understand how to setup a development and production environment - magical things start happening.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using the app to improve internal communication at my university.

  ### 2. Awesome, flexible headless CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi makes it super easy to set up APIs to retrieve, edit and create new content for a static website. It's super easy to work with out-of-the-box but offers the flexibility to customize to each users need.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I think the biggest downside of Strapi so far is the outdated documentation for plug-ins. Both Strapi and consumers heavily documented V3, but that documentation doesn't necessarily translate to v4 that well. With a little bit of finagling, I was able to get my plug-ins to work, but having updated documentation of out-of-the-box features would be great!

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is that of the headless CMS in general, but also the execution of that idea. Spinning up a new instance on AWS or similar platforms is really helpful!

  ### 3. Customised and slick system for my unique setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John C. | Post-doctoral research fellow, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi is highly customizable and easy to use so we were able to use it for entering content into a game we developed that is unique and custom built - Strapi was the perfect solution for managing the content.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I would've said lack of translation was a big hole but that issue was resolved in April and we're now in the process of translating our game into multiple languages. So no complaints!

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a digital game that was designed from the ground up, with very specific content formats that don't match any existing content management systems. They combine graphical elements (uploaded as SVGs), text, interconnected collections, etc. The game is content intensive so it required a user-friendly interface that was highly customisable. The introduction of translation functionality has enabled us to now develop a multi-language version of the game.

  ### 4. Amazing open source headless CMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Modern and clean UI, Great API capabilities, either using GraphQL or REST. Their great support and easy-to-follow documentations on how to customize everything! There is a huge community behind it and there is always updates and communication is very clear from the development team.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Their new update v4 is out, but the documentation is lacking little, documentation for other cloud services AWS/Azure is also lacking little. But to be honest it is pretty difficult to come put with dislikes as it does a lot of the stuff really good.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am creating a platform for education where they will be able to upload and brose content, the ease of choice between REST and GraphQL has helped me a lot in making Strapi my main choice.

  ### 5. Awesome way to organize content

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yogesh P. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

I can structure data however I want basing on my requirements.
Exposablea s REST API.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Not much so far. It mainly covers all our needs.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are serving content to our mobile app and web app as well.

  ### 6. My go to CMS for any JAM Stack project

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee B. | Freelance Web Designer & Front End Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The best part about Strapi is that I'm able to spin up a CMS in less than a minute. Yes, it really is that fast. Just a single quickstart command in the terminal and you're ready to build out your content structure for use in any project.

When I explain Strapi to other developers, I usually tell them to think Wordpress Pages + Posts + Media + Custom Post Types + Advanced Custom Fields + Users, all rolleded into 1, easily accessible via API, without the parts that you don't need and with a better user experience.

Strapi makes development so much quicker. No longer do I have to think about setting up, managing and interacting with databases. Instead, everything I would need a database for is now handled by Strapi. API endpoints for all of my data are generated automatically, making it easily consumable from any front end app.

I love that Strapi is free and open-source, making it very easy to customise Strapi 'till your hearts content. The Strapi core team also work hard to push new updates and functionality while listening to and engaging with the community. It's the best of both worlds.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I might have once said that the UI could be a little less bland, but with Strapi version 4 just around the corner and the upcoming re-design they showed off, I'm just excited for the update.

The only real issues I have with using Strapi aren't directly related to Strapu itself. The only slight problem I have is hosting Node apps in general due to the more complex requirements than what I'd been accustomed to. For example, there aren't a thousand companies offering easy to use 1-click installs like in the Wordpress world or easy push-to-git solutions you get in the javascript front end world. This, of course, makes hosting Strapi a little less intuitive for beginners. That being said, I know that the Strapi team is currently working on an in-house hosting solution, so I look forward to that.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

Give it a try, it's free, and you have nothing to lose. Even if it's just on your local machine for testing, setup takes no time at all.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, I'm using Strapi in portfolio-type websites to manage page content and blogs, etc. I'm also using Strapi for business websites where I have to manage users and authentication. So far, I can't imagine there being many, if any, projects that Strapi wouldn't be great for.

  ### 7. Very user-friendly, easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

User-friendliness of system, easy to use for non-tech peopleng

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

would like to have some features in the basic plan

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

International management of content for web app

  ### 8. Strapi enables us to create any type of website really fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Santi C. | Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It's open-source, free, extendable, built with React, Javascript, Node... With the V4 version it has a new plugin ecosystem so anyone can easily contribute.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Sometimes it's a bit slow (haven't tested much V4 yet tough). I would also love some more custom fields (color picker, map...) ;)

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It enables us to build private & secure CMS's for big and small clients really quickly.

  ### 9. Easy Modern CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Easy setup and very simple and intuitive to use.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Our developers love Strapi and haven't found any issues. Have used it in previous projects and will continue to use it.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping make managing our database and content on our new site easier.

  ### 10. Quick Start CMS with Loads of Customization Options

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Entertainment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

East set up and out-of-the-box functionality.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The default UX could be improved. There are more modern components Strapi could be using for lists, component organization, and editing screens.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

If you're looking for a fully capable CMS that is Dev friendly, Strapi is great. Don't expect unlimited customization options but there is much you can do with Strapi.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provide an easy way to allow content editors and managers to organize our archival data.

  ### 11. It is an open-source Headless CMS built around JavaScript

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David L. | Data Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

I love that you can basically use this with almost any platform in the industry. It can be used with ReactJs, AngularJS, and even plain Javascript. It's amazing

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I think that there are not enough courses and options for those who would like to learn the CMS; even if it is offered as a paid certification, that would be great!

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving the problem that you do not need WordPress to create and compete in creating great web applications. It is a new edge to all developers independent and employed.

  ### 12. Works well and is easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi is a simple yet powerful CMS that is very customisable. We were able to stop developing our own CMS and use Strapi instead, since all its options made it work even for our specialised needs. The developer experience is good too, both when working with the API and adding our own custom plugins and extensions.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Strapi's admin interface is totally unusable on a mobile device, and the Jekyll plugin doesn't have support for all of the content types. I'd also like support for single sign-on to be more affordable.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strapi lets us manage our entire website, both the interactive and static parts, in one location. Since there's an easy JSON API, it also makes the idea of future development more straightforward.

  ### 13. Strapi changes the game for non-profit app development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Seriously so easy to use because things are (1) drag and drop and (2) pre-built functions

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Strapi is good for new developers, but is restricting to existing senior devs. We personally love it because our whole team is high school engineers.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

Self-host!

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have solved problems of getting to production quickly and the benefit is fast launch. We are definitely more productive. Performance has increased significantly.

  ### 14. Simplicity and efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruce L. | Directeur artistique, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi was very simple to set up on my server.
The admin part is clear and very efficient.
Authentication and roles are time-saving.
The documentation is very helpful, I used the nginx with subdomain part, the process was easy.
I love it!

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I haven't seen drawbacks yet.
Maybe adding documentation or example about a frontend in React Typescript, deployed as a Static Web App on Azure using Strapi as the API through Azure Functions.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a simple and efficient API with authentication/authorization for my Ionic React mobile projects and my websites.
I use Strapi for my Cinder C++ shader mixer app, so I can store shaders, settings, etc.

  ### 15. A useful headless CMS with both ReST and Graphql API

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mauro L. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Easy to install and manage.
Both ReST and Graphql API
UI well designed

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

For now, no Docker image for version 4
No easy way to import and export data
No tool to migrate from version 3 to version 4

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Create an API in minutes..
For our students is very easy to use and install

  ### 16. Awesome!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It is the most advanced open-source Content Management Framework to build powerful API with no effort.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The account-creating process took me longer than I expected.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps to create a powerful API while it is handling content management.

  ### 17. My College Strapi Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** romit k. | Full Stack Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Highly customizable, React-based, and support for Graphql.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Users can't customize the admin panel content-form UI.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

For starters, who have a tight deadline or want to prototype their idea quickly, I will recommend going for strapi.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have developed all our college fests' events and club events using Strapi. With Strapi, we could quickly develop the backend, which also came with a pre-ready admin panel. It helped us to prepare our event swiftly before the deadline.

  ### 18. Strapi is one of the fastest ways to go from an empty project to a functioning backend.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin S. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The administration UI makes DB architecture very straightforward, while at the same time Strapi exposes enough under the hood to remain highly extensible.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Any "magic wand" solutions always suffer the same problem; less transparency about the underlying low-level processes that are happening. Fortunately this has not been a huge drawback for me with Strapi.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am currently using it as a way to enable customers to edit their own content, replacing older CMS solutions like Wordpress.

  ### 19. A great tool to manage our website.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julien B. | Président, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It evolves quickly, the data model is editable easily and it’s very easy to use for everyone.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Like every generic tool, some corner cases must be avoided.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a BackOffice to manage our website would have been time consuming without it.

  ### 20. One of the best headless cms

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

- Customization
- Performance
- Plug and play concept

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Everything works pretty good. However, some upgrades are necessary to manage better the data and add more functionalities to the UI.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I hosted the entire backend of one of my personal projects. It's easy to setup and you can immediately view and manage the data.

  ### 21. One of the Best Headless CMS in 2021

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivain L. | Encadrant pédagogique, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Almost all the basic notions found in the development of backend solutions are implemented in Click&Play. Combined with the efficient and straightforward interface, this saves a lot of time developing short and medium-term solutions.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Restricted access can quickly become restrictive, but it is part of the business model of the company.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strapi allowed me to create POC on different themes: retail, augmented reality, incentive,...

  ### 22. AWESOME CMS DRIVEN API BUILDING TOOL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** VIKAS S. | A, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Easy to work on backend for frontend developers. Its like drag and drop feature

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I think, they should bring a better documentation on how to host it in a individual servers like from Digitalocean or elsewhere

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am workings on a LMS for which Strapi is help me arround

  ### 23. Flexible, fast, scalable & FREE! My go-to CMS for the every project.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DEVESH A. | PPM & PMO Manager, North India, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Being a non technical person it was tough to figure out the best cms to work with, but with little help Strapi turned out to be amazing. One-click deploy, along with insane flexibility to render content. The UI & UX is also great. It is brilliant to onboard new users and content creators seamlessly. Eagerly awaiting the plugin library updates. For now we are building our customized plugins and its working brilliantly. No tedious permissions based payments, Even the community edition is so well versed to handle small projects.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The media library is a bit tedious for our use case - no folder structure
Native latex or maths support is not there, even with CK editor.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are primarily using it to host simple blog and content pieces such as quizzes, exams etc
It is easy and excellent to onboard freelance writers to write the content as required creating the appropriate QC guidelines and hierarchy

  ### 24. Impressive API/CMS system with a feature rich free community edition

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brian R. | Senior Software Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi offers a lot out of the box, and most of it can be had with the free community edition. This is great for those looking for something that you can quickly get up and running. For more advanced functionality, you can fairly easily write custom code / plugins for more complex situations.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

CMS publishing workflow is still primitive. Currently only supports a draft and publish status. If a conent item was already published, there is no way to test changes out without unpublishing the content item entirely.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are creating a somewhat simple CMS backend for a marketing website. After the initial effort to create the components and collection types, it makes content creation and updates a lot easier than having content and pages hard coded on the marketing site itself like we were doing previously.

  ### 25. Customiseable, Easy to Use and Easy to set up.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nirmal K. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi makes it easy to build a backend that can be sophisticated yet is easy to maintain by anyone. You can create new plugins and modify the existing UI to any extent. It's a brilliant combination of Backend (API's) and Admin Portal (to help maintain the data sent on the API's).

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I would've loved a bit more plugins as default, like social media management. My use-case includes end-users who manage social media accounts, and something for them within Strapi would've been brilliant.

The documentation isn't unambiguous: They say the Admin panel requires 2GB processing in their custom deployment documentation, but in their Heroku documentation (Heroku provides by default 512MB), they don't mention anything.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

If you're unsure whether Strapi suits you and you're uncertain whether Strapi's alternatives suit you, go with Strapi. Most business backends require a front-end for the non-technical person to maintain, and Strapi brings it all very neatly in one package.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it as a demo project for my college. Because its admin panel is straightforward to use, I can use Strapi with my colleagues who don't have computer science backgrounds. Also, the bookshelves (i.e., the databases) in Strapi help immensely in maintaining and encouraging to maintain data.

  ### 26. Strapi saved hours of API development time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Basic API functionality comes out of the box

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

There's a bit of a learning curve and custom features will need to be built from scratch in-house.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am building an internal web tool for housing custom data sets to serve over an API.

  ### 27. Looking for a blog backend, found a new world.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hong Y. | Instructor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The plugin system. That empowers me to customize the admin panel for my needs.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I like everything about strapi.I wish there is a template for plugin system.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm creating an email and cotent management backend. Strapi helps me manage the users, create email templates and cron jobs. The clear structure of Strapi enables me to add features easily.

  ### 28. very very helpful for developer tools, we can easy to creating API to Fetch the backend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abraham Y. | Blockchain Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

we can easy to creating API to Fetch the backend

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Download Package is to big, and update exiting version strapi always failed

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

added module searching like algolia and other

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

creating component for multi content, fetch in frontend

  ### 29. Great alternative to Django

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The GUI based schema builder. Inbuilt orm. Feature rich product.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I think the free plan should have more features like access roles, better filtering ability in API, etc

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

It's a great alternative to Django. The rule based access, schema builder, the crud operations, etc these features are super cool. Getting started is easy. No need to look for boilerplate.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to develop apis with Django. Coding everything from scratch is overwhelming. With easy schema builder that is no longer a problem.

Plus the rule based access is super cool.

  ### 30. Searched all open source CMS Software, Strapi is the most user friendly and developer friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naquiuddin K. | Lead Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

I like the fact that I can use it as a regular application. I can put CI/CD and deploy it on staging and production quickly, just like a typical application. Most importantly, Strapi has the slightest learning curve for us. This is important because we don't have enough capacity to train our developers. Strapi also quickly scaffolds all content models for us. This helps us to move fast without wasting time on building plugins for every minute feature.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

It's good in every way currently and suits our needs best. There are minor issues, check https://github.com/strapi/strapi/issues for more details, but the team is excellent. I am hopeful that they fix them all. One feature I think would be useful is a way to export specific content using some filters from staging to production. Because content is core of any website. On large websites we cannot test content changes that effect UI, even though there are preview options available. I also miss block editor like wordpress.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are building an extensive website with multiple forms and a lot of content, and we also have various author roles with access to multiple types of content. Most importantly we have a huge books database, which we want to manage and serve using Strapi. We also want to create events, collect donations and maintain a blog using strapi. Because strapi gives us huge control, its easier for us.

  ### 31. Great flexible, and powerful

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Themba S. | CPO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Its flexibility is key. Having the ability to change copy and imagery, even with a custom-designed website. We've even got plans to use this sort of flexibility to create our own internal training tool, which requires content to be created and changed once or twice a year. Strapi will allow us to grow as our organisation grows. I also like the fact that the application is self-hosted. It means we can control our costs.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The UI is a little difficult to get your head around at first, especially if you're coming from a traditional CMS. We're fortunate in that there are a few people who have used Strapi, but, for new people, it would be best to watch the training videos.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're giving our content team the ability to define the content across our site. We're also going to consider launching a blog, to have regular content output.
Depending on how we grow as an organisation, we may even use Strapi to host and display our internal training content.

  ### 32. Beginner friendy Headless CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emmah Wanjiru K. | Frontend Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi is easy to integrate with NextJs which is my preferred React Framework. It works well with Next Auth giving me a seamless way to authenticate users on my website.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

There was a steep learning curve when I was starting, but now there are many tutorials to help you get started.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backend development. As a frontend developer, I don't have to master any backend programming languages. Strapi has made it easy for me to have a backend while I concentrate on the frontend

  ### 33. Easy to use and saves a ton of time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tician S. | S, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

I really love the simplicity of the content API. Normally I would have to write my Routes and Controllers inside Node and Express, which can take ages. With Strapi I only have to set them up in the UI, which is easy and straight forward!

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I Would love to have the possibility to directly add/change UI layouts in the BackEnd. It would be great to to have a clickable "List" view of all connected Relations, which is currently not possible and makes it a bit more complicated.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main Problem/Benefit is time saving. With Strapi I can fully focus on getting the Frontend and Application Logic done, while using Strapi as a "Visual Database" management system.

  ### 34. Good user friendly CMS backend for development

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It allows an almost unlimited number of content types. The relations content types are most useful and helpful types.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The different architectures between strapi v3 and v4.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Choices of different frontends working with Strapi. I am working with Gridsome but it's rather hard to work with Strapi v4 then v3.

  ### 35. Great, easy-to-use CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

It's easy to set up, fast and has excellent documentation.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The free version comes with only three roles to use - this will work out for most use-cases (I assume), but even a small project working with multiple contributors will quickly reach this limit.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're using it in the backend of a public (as in state-funded, non-profit) school's website. Their previous one was pretty static, allowing only a select few to take care of the content. With Strapi, this isn't a problem anymore: Not only can teachers take care of their subject's pages themself, but students can create content for working groups (to only name one example), thereby learning to interact with modern content management systems in a fun, non-stressful way.

  ### 36. My experience as a novice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jhony G. | Software Engineer I, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Most of Strapi is funny. The way things just connect and can be shared through API, user configurations, and management is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The only thing I feel left in Strapi is a good WYSIWYG editor because most of the users who can access the app are non-technical.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are migrating our webpage to Strapi. Non-technical users will be the admins of it

  ### 37. Strapi is the best headless CMS at the market, defeating all other rivals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ali S. | System administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Stability, performance, ease of use, easy to upgrade and modify even after production

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Dashboard customization is very limited, few plug ins

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bulding, modify apps very quickly, and it can handle complex project without hassle

  ### 38. Perfect solution if you want to focus on Front End Development and skip Backend DEV

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Faizan A. | Technology Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Provides the quickest solution to setup APIs for your frontend.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

As it's still growing it lacks some of the features to be used by masses.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Strapi is helping me skip the backend part and focus on frontend by managing the backend all from one place.

  ### 39. A highly customisable headless API saved us heaps of time and a pleasure to work with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent L. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Combined with Dio HTTP cache in Flutter, Strapi has enabled us to build up an easy-to-manage app menu and content system, allowing us to make live changes in a beautiful UI without code changes and app releases.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Some documentation and answers to common questions are outdated for older versions, can cause some confusion.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ready-made dashboard has saved us time and money. The HTTP API to insert data via scripts allows us to pull data from Podbean, Vimeo, Instagram etc in a draft state, allowing us to log in and publish new content.

  ### 40. Great API builder (for a decoupled CMS approach)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan C. | Responsable Licence Pro. Métiers du Numérique: conception, rédaction et réalisation web , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Quiet complete tool, even in the "community edition"
Useful for an education point of view because data and API are decoupled from the presentation site.
The set-up is easy, and the tool is highly customizable

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The personalization of the admin UI is quite complex (limited documentation, complicated tree view of the files)

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Education point-of-view: quick creation of APIs to develop websites, modern approach for the design of websites with an admin panel
- Fast prototyping of a management tools for "portfolio de traces" (in skills-based approach)

  ### 41. Best choice as API headless CMS for my Front apps

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Museums and Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi helps me to focus on front-end development by making backend and API implementation very fast and easy !

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Backend interface should be fully responsive. Adding entries from a smartphone is not simple.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Get rid of a fastidious API/backend development

  ### 42. Flexible, Easy, Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ahmed G. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Strapi is one of the easiest, fastest headless CMS that I worked with; it is so easy to implement and start with excellent, fully described documentation that facilitates everything for everyone from senior to beginner,

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The email functionalities are a bit buggy, but I guess that these bugs will be fixed shortly.

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

I think my recommendation for new users considering Strapi.io is that they should read the documentation as they provide all the information necessary to begin with.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using Strapi.io for my graduation project, which is a Smart Attendance Management System that uses a combination of MongoDB and Strapi to build the backend.

It helped me a lot with providing my team with an easy-to-use backend UI that they can deal with and make changes on it,

  ### 43. An Excellent Headless CMS - Customizable, Easy to Use, Flexible, Fast , Scalable and Easy to set up

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjali K. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

You can easily customize, can create new plugins, and can easily modify the existing UI. Content is easily accessible through REST API or GraphQL.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

There are only 3 roles in the free tier.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a flexible system that allows multiple types of users to add and edit content. Headless makes it very easy to consume the data.
Strapi is the best headless CMS currently because of its fast API development process and its flexibility.

  ### 44. wordpress for the 20's! Probably the best opensource headless CMS around right now

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piers S. | CIO / IT volunteer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Super fast to set up
Highly customisable
Active development roadmap
GraphQL
component focus

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

It's still pretty young
would love to have a hands off cloud hosting option

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a small climate change charity we have been able to build a JAMstack based on strapi to replace our old WordPress setup. Its super-fast, secure, and just works.

  ### 45. Creating a Fullstack project in simple steps using strapi and it's API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris A. | DSC Zetech University Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The fact that all the APIs are created on the go, all methods on the APIs are all set. That is like a gold key to me

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The time it takes to refresh after creating a collection, sometimes I have to restart the server on development

**Recommendations to others considering Strapi:**

It's the best option for a CMS, and can literally work for any frontend stack available out there

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In time project delivery.
Strapi gives hope to junior devs who'd love to experience what goes on in the backend.

  ### 46. Headless CMS that meets everyones needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

Single post types and dynamic zone with custom components

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

Very limited plugins and whatever is available is not well documented.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are building JAM stack based website for our orgnization as a pilot and once sucessful we plan to migrate many other exisiting sites.

  ### 47. first step with strapi

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor S. | Travail de fin d’etude, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

strapi offer a great interface, user management et role access base. all that is combined with a great API providing all the information we need about the content of our website

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

the lack of information and guidance in the interface. I have spent 20 min trying to set roles for my user for allowing them to have user management without giving them full access but I could not succeed, I guess is because I have to pay to have more users.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A client asks me to build him a showcase/portfolio website but he also wants to manage the content and article. I had to find a CMS but not a WordPress. Strapi resolves my issue by offering me exactly what I wanted.

  ### 48. Most Flexible Headless CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Conrad T. | Freelance Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The thing I like the best about Strapi is that it's open-source; this allows for complete flexibility in what you want the CMS to do. Content is easily accessible through REST API or GraphQL, which is fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

The free version only comes with three roles which you can't customize. This is understandable because there needs to be an incentive to support the developers, and restricting features is the only way.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick solution to create an api and present a panel for people with no technical skills.

  ### 49. Strapi is a great headless CMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

-user-friendly interface
-role-based access control in admin console to delegate responsibility in content management
-auto-generated endpoints consumed by any application and services

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

-no SSO in our addition
-on-disk recorded startup values creating problem in docker environment
-no folders in the media library store

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are managing add-on targeted announcements for the university portals.

  ### 50. My default go-to for new projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derk W. | Partner Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Strapi?**

The easiness and flexibility to configure small proof-of-concepts or fullstack applications. Sometimes I just need a headless CMS for my client, sometimes I want the CMS and custom API responses. This is all possible with Strapi. Also connecting to services like RabbitMQ clusters is really easy and quick to do.

**What do you dislike about Strapi?**

I've started using Typescript for a lot of my projects, but Strapi unfortunately doesn't support it currently. Also, I haven't been able to adjust the admin interface _exactly_ as I want it. But this is no showstopper for me.

**What problems is Strapi solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly developing backend solutions so I can quickly develop products or solutions. I was working on V2 of my API and also wanted a good CMS. After I learned about Strapi, I sticked with it for both the API and CMS part.
