With Storykit, I can create a video in an hour that is good enough to share on all my company's channels. There may be more sophisticated and flexible tools out there, but I've not found anything that can compete with Storykit's simplicity and ease of use. Training up a new member of staff takes a matter of hours, not days. I also like how Storykit onboards my company's fonts and brand colours, giving everything a consistent feel. Storykit is not as flexible or powerful as some other tools on the market. It may not be able to do everything you want it to. But that is the trade-off you make in exchange for simplicity. Storykit lets you make good videos quickly. If you want professional quality, "big budget" productions, you may need to look elsewhere. In our team we have taken a two-tier approach. I had never edited any video before my current position, but knew the value of short-form video to a brand identity, and how well they translate on social media. Then I was introduced to StoryKit. Now, I'm regularly producing informative, educational, and engaging video for Planet Tracker, and in far less time than picking up any other video editing software from scratch. While it may not have some of the functionality a proffesional video editing package like Vegas or Adobe may give you, it is far easier and more intuitive than anything I've encountered when it comes to content creation. While it has an enourmous library of video content, free-to-use, it may be helpful to expand and use some topical footage providers (Reuters, associated press etc.) where possible. There's a great selection of video frame formats and the "videoblocks" are diverse enough that we're not struggling at all to get suitable stock footage for our niche. The ability to create templates has been a huge time-saver for us, as has the attentiveness we've received from our Customer Success Manager, Shane McPartland-Weise - who has been fantastic at answering our questions and sharing her ideas with us. Storykit streamlines the process of creating beautiful video content. Since video clips, images, music and all kinds of slide templates are only a mouse click away, putting these elements together is much more enjoyable than creating the same type of content using Microsoft PowerPoint for instance. Many of the slide template options are not obvious. I´d also like to have more alternative templates for ending slides. Finding the perfect template is also a bit of a hassle; I wish I could search them using keywords, filters or something similliar.

It should be easier to position your background asset, which could be a game changer when creating videos in the vertical format. I hardly ever make Reels since I have difficulty positioning the background asset accurately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Good thing is that they are constantly improving. I have started in late 2021 to make some videos and slides option were not so great. Now they are bringing more modern, fresh and catchy slides. The tool is quite easy to learn. You can make videos quite easy ( unless you start asking cooworkers around :) )

Generally it helped me to bring some different content on our SM platforms.

I assume you can do pleanty if you also have time and good quality equipment to make some videos/photos in house. That brings more than using stock.

There are still things I would appreciate in Sorrykit:

-generating videos is pain (even it shorten the time). I would like when I work on slide to play a preview of the slide to see how it looks, rather than generating all video.

-text limitation. Sometimes even putting one small word extra is not possible because each part has a character limit.

-search for good photos and videos is not easy
