## Storyblok Reviews
  ### 1. Stable system, must prepare for more complex requirements.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carolin R. | Frontend Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I like the new History-Compare feature.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Handling global elements and internationalization: Storyblok is increasingly being sold to customers with high demands. Customers primarily choose Storyblok because of its intuitive user interface, which is an excellent development. The problem is: Storyblok is extremely strong for simple pages, creating folder-based pages and filling them with content. Intuitive and simple. For this type of customer, Storyblok is becoming too expensive, as there are often very tight budgets behind it. Other customers with high budgets bring other challenges: creating and managing content centrally in one place, translating it based on field level, but otherwise continuing to maintain pages on a folder basis. We can build solutions for this, no question.

1. In the long term, I would like to see a more visible difference in the user interface between globally reusable content and page-based content.
2. Abolish the "default" locale. If no translation is maintained in a field, no content should be displayed. Field level translation is therefore almost unusable.
3. Introduce translations for block elements to be able to maintain different blocks (compare Contentful).
4. Create a simple history feature for the Growth Plus Plan as well. It doesn't have to be with comparison options right away, but for example, for campaigns - quickly restore the state of a page from day XY without maintaining the same content.
5. Feature request: Page versions, the aforementioned campaign example: The season is regularly changed on a page (Easter, summer, winter), the assets and settings are always the same. Currently, this is only possible with annoying copying of pages into archive folders.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Asset management
- Manage a lot of small projects with a shared components base
- Use role management to allow customers to manage the content themselves (they can be really picky)

  ### 2. Effortless Content Management with Flexible Visual Editing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ram D. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

how easy it makes managing content for my clients. The visual editor is a huge time-saver, and I love that I can build flexible components without locking myself into a rigid structure. It fits perfectly with my Next.js workflow and just makes the whole process smoother.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The only downside for me is that the UI can feel a bit slow at times, especially with larger projects. Nothing major just small delays here and there that break the flow a little. The learning curve was a little more than I thought.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It lets me create flexible, reusable components for my clients, which saves a lot of time on updates. Content teams can edit pages without breaking anything, and I can ship sites faster because the structure is clean and consistent. Overall, it makes managing multiple client sites way easier. My favorite is the visual editor for the clients to be able to make easy changes.

  ### 3. Robust CMS with Visual Editing, Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayank K. | Founder / Head of Strategy and Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I appreciate Storyblok's robust CMS capabilities that allow for visual-led content editing for websites without the need for extensive coding. I love its freedom in defining content blocks and the visual style of structuring content, which suits both my personal and work-related website projects efficiently. Furthermore, the simplicity of Storyblok's initial setup greatly impressed me, making it a straightforward process to get started.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I feel that Storyblok could improve by incorporating insights from Sanity regarding schema-based workflows. Additionally, I find the visual interface of Payload and Sanity CMS to be cleaner and more robust in comparison to Storyblok.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Storyblok as a robust CMS providing visual-led content editing for websites without much coding. It enables freedom in defining content blocks and structuring content visually, solving the challenges of complex query setups and live editing nightmares experienced with previous platforms.

  ### 4. Versatile Design Tool with Some UI Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I appreciate Storyblok's translations feature, which helps us sync all our translations into one simple process and allows us to jump between the languages to compare easily. I also find the initial setup quite easy, even though it took some effort as we were moving our entire backend at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I really dislike the bugs with the UI giving errors while editing. The preview UI just returns 404 instead of a page.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We benefit from Storyblok's non-code interactive web design system and its translations feature that eases syncing and comparison for our workflow.

  ### 5. Flexible Content Management with a Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ziya K.

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I find Storyblok great for projects across my company, including an eCommerce platform, a PLC site, and an educational site. I appreciate how it solves the reusability of components, making it easy and effective for content editors to use them. I like that it's like a sandbox, allowing flexibility to tailor it to my needs, such as deploying over 20+ domains using one space. The folder-level architecture and restrictions make this possible, and I find that very valuable.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Copying and pasting the contents is easy if you are using one space per project, but we need to manually copy and paste contents in the folders as we cannot use the dimension app. Another thing is the commercetools app; it is not possible to add multiple markets to the same space, which causes problems. Also, the onboarding made us a little bit nervous since there is less walkthrough for developers.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok solves the reusability of components, making it easy for content editors. Its folder level architecture allows deploying over 20+ domains efficiently, although copying content manually across folders is a downside.

  ### 6. Game-Changing Visual Editor and Flawless Laravel Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Its visual editor really shines. Letting our clients actually see what they’re working on has been a real game changer for us. On top of that, Riclep’s Laravel Storyblok integration has worked flawlessly so far. The assets CDN is also great, it's working perfect with focal points and is very quick.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It's pricing has been a bit unstable compared to when we first started using Storyblok, but in a way it's also understandable.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not having to worry about an asset CDN is one of the main benefits for me. I also like that clients can clearly see what they’re editing while they work.

  ### 7. Empowers Non-Tech Teams with Ease

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lenka V.

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I use Storyblok for managing our website, and I really enjoy its ease of use and the intuitive UX/UI. It's very straightforward, making editing and creating super easy. I appreciate how anyone on the team can jump in, create landing pages for campaigns or content, and work on things together without needing technical knowledge. The ability to easily create content, duplicate website pages, and pause them as needed has made our team more efficient and saved us time.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The asset limits are sometimes too low for the package it offers. Also, it can be a bit of a pain in the backend for the technical person to sometimes configure the elements.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Storyblok, our team can manage website changes without needing technical support, which boosts efficiency and saves time. It's easy to create and duplicate pages, and the intuitive interface makes it accessible for everyone to contribute.

  ### 8. Straightforward Interface, Needs Better Export Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Juliusz N. | Automation Developer

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I really like Storyblok because it provides a straightforward interface that makes it easy to configure to my needs. The visual icons are particularly helpful, allowing me to easily understand the content locations, which enhances its intuitiveness. Additionally, Storyblok simplifies the process of mapping components inside the code, making it convenient for the client to fill up the data and seamlessly push it to the code. This efficiency has been incredibly beneficial for my form catering project in storing content. I also appreciate the ease of the initial setup, which, despite requiring some mapping, was quite manageable.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I struggled with the naming conventions within Storyblok, specifically with understanding that 'Blocks' are also referred to as components. Additionally, I'd like the possibility to export the entire base along with its structure. Currently, exporting isn't straightforward, and having an option to export my base to a .csv file or visualizing the database structure through a temporary graph would be beneficial.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Storyblok helps map components easily in my code, simplifying content management for clients. Its straightforward, intuitive interface with visual icons enhances understanding and configuration, improving my workflow efficiency.

  ### 9. Effortless Headless CMS with Great APIs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan E. | Frontend-Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I appreciate Storyblok for its headless CMS functionalities, which effectively separate content from components, enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of managing digital content. The API offerings are robust, with excellent documentation and a developer experience that really stands out, making integration and usage of the API seamless and straightforward. Setting up Storyblok was notably easy, which speaks volumes about its user-friendly design and implementation process. These aspects collectively improve my workflow and overall satisfaction with the software.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I dislike that when using SSO with Storyblok, the autogenerated names for users are unattractive and lack personalization. This can be improved by implementing a system that uses real names instead of arbitrary strings, which would offer a more professional and user-friendly experience.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Storyblok for its headless CMS functionality, which cleanly separates content from components, enhancing development efficiency with excellent API documentation and a great developer experience.

  ### 10. Effortless Setup, Powerful Developer Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ruben L.

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I like the 'what you see is what you get' editor in Storyblok as it makes the content editing process intuitive. I also appreciate the good API and tooling for editing content, which enhances the user experience. The partner portal is another standout feature for me; it makes the initial setup very easy—just a few clicks and it's all set up, allowing us to kick-off development smoothly. The good developer tools and documentation are also valuable resources in our implementations.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

None

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok offers a good partner portal, developer tools, and documentation. It features a 'what you see is what you get' editor and strong API and tooling for content editing. The initial setup is straightforward with just a few clicks, allowing us to quickly kick-off development.

  ### 11. Storyblok. A great platform for content designers.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon P. | Content designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

After working closely with UX and our development team, we have created a Storyblok platform that allows fast and efficient content development. The reusable bloks make it easy to create consistent, structured content that looks great and is also accessible.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

We currently have a 15 minute period to wait for the cache to clear. This isn't ideal when we are making small updates or working on developing a page.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Storyblok we were using a CMS that was really beginning to show it's age. We had to hand crank the HTML on pages just to allow us to display content in specific ways. The process was slow and time consuming. Using Storyblok we can now create content much more efficiently. We have a library of standardised components that we can use, which helps us create content quickly and consistently. The final product is good looking, accessible content that works on all platforms.

  ### 12. Almost perfect CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sampo V. | Project manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

As a developer, I find Storyblok to be amazingly simple to work with.
As a project manager, I've noticed that Storyblok is quite easy to teach which proves how intuitive the UI is.

These features I like the most:
- Creating blocks
- Creating templates
- Implementing to new and existing projects is super easy
- The api is very easy for integrations
- Real time preview of current state of content
- Save / publish -pattern
- Internationalization features with AI
- Amazing media service

I use Storyblok almost daily.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

1. The latest pricing model did cause problems on selling Storyblok. Especially the 20€/month for each extra language after two languages feels super steep.

2. I really miss the repeater-kind of feature that would essentially make a lot of sense and reduce the amount of required clicks when creating content

3. User roles in smaller plans

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It brings us a way to offer our customers a great CMS experience

  ### 13. Easy Page Design and Flexible Blocks, but Too Many Bugs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

the UI in designing pages, the ease at which functionality blocks can be added

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

the buggyness and defects which occur without reason

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

a tool to build a knowledge platform

  ### 14. Empowers Teams with Easy Page Edits and Real-Time Changes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tala D.

**Reviewed Date:** December 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I like that Storyblok has easy to edit templates, allowing me to make new pages without engineering support. It's easy to navigate and I can see changes in real time, which saves my team from having to wait 2-4 weeks for a sprint on my engineering team's scope. I also appreciate being able to see how the changes look and how the page will appear to the user. The initial setup of Storyblok was simple and easy to configure.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The changes don't always load automatically, and I have to hard refresh the page every time.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Storyblok for easy-to-edit templates, allowing me to make new pages without engineering support. It saves my team from waiting weeks for development sprints, letting us see page changes and appearances in real-time.

  ### 15. The website is pretty good for managing digital content.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** k k. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok makes it really easy to manage structured content while still giving marketers and editors a visual editor they actually enjoy using. As a developer, I like that the API-first approach lets me use any front-end framework (React in my case) without limitations. The component-based content blocks also make it simple to reuse sections across multiple pages, which saves a lot of time when building out new sites.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

While I love how efficiently storyblok helps to manage content but it can overwhelming to use in the beginning as everything looks complex . The permission setting are not much optimised too so that can be a problem when working with large teams to manage access across different roles.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I personally use Storyblok for my personal projects as it helps me separate my content from the code. So now I can focus on frontend and manage my content efficiently.

  ### 16. Storyblok Simplifies Content Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I like that Storyblok is very easy to use. The visual editor lets me see changes instantly, so I don’t have to guess how the page will look. It saves a lot of time.
Even non-technical people can edit pages without needing help.
I also like that Storyblok is flexible for developers. It works well with any frontend framework, and the API is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It takes a little time to understand how everything works, especially things like components and schemas. Once you get used to it, it’s fine, but the learning curve is there.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok makes content management simpler, clearer, and faster. It helps me build pages visually, reuse components, and avoid repetitive work which saves a lot of time.

  ### 17. An efficient and easy-to-integrate headless solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dylan A. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

What I like best about Storyblok is its modern and intuitive UI combined with the flexibility it offers. It integrates seamlessly with frameworks like Astro, making it very easy to use for developers. I also really appreciate the custom fields, which allow us to adapt the CMS perfectly to our needs. Another big plus is the Image API, which automatically optimizes and converts images to WebP, saving both time and performance.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

What I dislike about Storyblok is mainly the recent pricing changes. The plan I was using went from free to $120, and the number of locales included has also been reduced. Another point is that extensions are only available from higher plans instead of being offered as pay-per-extension, which limits flexibility for smaller projects."

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Storyblok, we were working with WordPress, which had several limitations in terms of performance and customization. We were highly dependent on plugins, and the back office was extremely slow. With a headless CMS like Storyblok, we can focus much more on the frontend part, while keeping full flexibility and scalability. This has allowed us to improve performance, reduce complexity, and deliver a smoother experience both for developers and end users.

  ### 18. Finally, content editing without headaches

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremiah I. | UI/UX writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Overall, using Storyblok for content editing has made the process much easier. The standout features that attracted me are; the ability of the visual editor to remove the usual stress of managing content by providing a real-time preview also I can see changes instantly without worrying about breaking layouts, finally, reusable blocks enable quick and flexible page building by reusing content components.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Compared to other platforms, I believe asset management features, such as file categorization and renaming, could be more user-friendly on Storyblok

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collectively storyblok has really contributed in saving time and reducing errors for me and the team as the visual editor allows real-time changes, and helped to reduce the guess work and foster accuracy

  ### 19. Scalable Headless CMS with Tons of Integrations

  ### 20. Storyblok – A Flexible and Developer-Friendly Headless CMS

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Visual Editor: The real-time visual editor makes it easy for non-technical users to manage and preview content.
Component-Based Approach: Content is structured in reusable blocks, which provides flexibility and consistency across pages.
Headless Architecture: Integrates seamlessly with modern frameworks (Next.js, Nuxt.js, React, Vue, etc.), enabling full control over frontend.
Collaboration Features: Roles, workflows, and approval processes make it practical for teams.
API-First: Fast, reliable APIs with GraphQL and REST support for versatile data access.
Good Documentation & Community: Well-maintained docs and an active developer ecosystem.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Learning Curve: The component-based setup can be confusing for newcomers and requires upfront planning.
Pricing Model: Costs can grow quickly depending on number of users and projects.
Complex Configurations: Setting up roles, workflows, and custom fields may feel overwhelming at first.
Performance at Scale: While generally fast, very large content models can introduce latency if not optimized.
Limited Built-in Marketing Tools: Compared to traditional CMSs, features like A/B testing, personalization, and SEO tooling are more basic or require third-party integration.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok has been solving several challenges for us around content management and delivery. As a headless CMS, it allows us to centralize content in one place and reuse it across multiple channels, such as websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms. This has greatly reduced duplication of work and made our content strategy more consistent.
One of the biggest benefits is the visual editor, which empowers non-technical users to create and update content without depending on developers. This speeds up time to market for new pages and campaigns, while freeing developers to focus on building frontend features instead of managing copy changes. The component-based structure also ensures reusability and consistency, helping us maintain a cohesive brand experience.
On top of that, Storyblok’s workflows, roles, and versioning features have improved collaboration between teams, making it easier to manage approvals and avoid conflicts. Its API-first approach also keeps our setup future-proof, letting us integrate with modern frameworks and adapt to new technologies without redoing our content base.
Overall, Storyblok helps us work more efficiently, improves collaboration between technical and business teams, and gives us the flexibility to scale and evolve our digital experiences as needed.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback!

  ### 21. Gets the job done, but not ideal for non-technical users

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I will preface by saying I'm not a developer or a designer. My company used an agency to design and develop our website, and all I do is content creation, copy, etc. So I can only speak about those features of Storyblok. I like working with blocks, the visual editor, and content that is logically ordered and organized. I'd say it's pretty flexible and allows for as much simplicity or complexity as you require. All in all, I'd say I can work quickly and intuitively with Storyblok, now that I'm familiar with it.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

There is definitely a learning curve, and the pricing can get very expensive for additional features. While I love it when it's working, the visual editor has been buggy. Other small issues have arisen over the years and at times the Storyblok team has been unhelpful and unresponsive.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When redesigning our commercial website and documentation, we wanted an option that would make it easy for non-technical roles, like our sales and marketing teams, to update content.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Storyblok!

  ### 22. Streamlined Content Creation with a Few Risks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I use Storyblok weekly to create sponsorship pages for my company, and it’s been a great tool for streamlining the process. I really like how edits and updates appear automatically as I’m working — it saves time, makes the workflow smoother, and gives me confidence that the content is coming together as intended. It seamlessly connects to my website so implementation is almost automatic.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The only issue I’ve run into is that a single error can sometimes impact the entire site. While this doesn’t happen often, it can be stressful when it does.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok helps streamline the process of building and updating sponsorship pages for my company. Instead of going through a complicated back-and-forth with developers, I can make edits myself and see them applied in real time. This saves a lot of time, reduces dependency on technical teams, and makes it easier to keep pages accurate and up to date.

  ### 23. Easy to use and makes content editing a breeze.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

What I like best about Storyblok is how intuitive and flexible it is. The visual editor makes it really easy to see exactly how the content will look before publishing, which saves a tonne of time. The interface is clean and intuitive, so updating content or creating new pages feels effortless. It lets me focus on the creative part instead of worrying about the technical side. It is very easy

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

At first, there was a bit of a learning curve, and I sometimes wish I had a little more design flexibility without needing a developer.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok solves the problem of needing technical or HTML knowledge to manage content. I can easily update pages and create new content without writing a single line of code. The visual editor is a huge plus because I can see exactly how everything will look, and the way content is organised makes it simple to manage multiple pages. It saves me time and keeps things stress-free.

  ### 24. Good Interface, not for beginners

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I like the flexibility with the blok building and the live updating editing screen. That's something that stands out in comparison to other CMS systems out there. I like the ability to add custom layouts in the block setup in my custom bloks.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

For a developer like myself I could understand how to make all the bits and pieces function correctly but I can see how this may be intimidating for beginners. I don't find the setup as easy and straightforward as other CMS systems. Sometimes I find support to be lagging in response time.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok is allowing myself and a creative team produce custom bloks that can then be used to build websites for various branches in our company. These building bloks can be used by other colleagues who aren't as tech savvy which bridges the gap between developers and marketing. By creating something that someone else can easy learn to use, it removes the necessity to require constant developer interference where simple content updates are needed to be made. Ultimately, creating our sites in storyblok allow for us developers to gain more time to work on various other projects we have on the go while allowing other departments to continue to make the updates that they need.

  ### 25. A relatively easy way to setup your website

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan B. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I really like the ease of use for storyblok pages. Once it's set up by operations you can easily create new pages with the blocks provided. Makes it faster than other platforms I have used previously. I love that there are so many ways you can set up a page and so many different types of blocks to use. You really can make your website look any way you want and match your brand with ease.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Sometimes it's hard to find the page I am looking for. I wish search would capture words in a page, not just titles.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok makes it easy to create and edit our website.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thank you for sharing your positive experience with Storyblok, Morgan! We're happy to hear that you find it faster and more versatile than other platforms you've used. We understand the importance of an efficient search feature and will work on enhancing it for a better user experience.

  ### 26. My Persanal exerience with storyblok and how it helped my organisation solve content mangement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick N. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Right of the top of my head , i would say it being an API first platform , which made it really easy to integrate with frameworks like react and next. js for me as a Javascript software developer , it was a really great tool as opposed to what i and my team had been using before hand

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

i'd say what i dislike about storyblok is that it may come with a more difficult learning curve for non-technical editors . in my experience onboarding other stakeholders onto the platform and explaining the content models was quite a pain .

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it solves the problem of allowing non technical and technical stakeholders , manage and distribute content effectively with little to no friction. for me its been great as once i setup alot of the heavy lifting the handoff process becomes seamless .

  ### 27. User-Friendly Interface with Minor Hiccups

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony K.

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I find Storyblok easy to use, which makes it straightforward to keep our website up to date. I appreciate the ease of use, probably the most, and I like the interface.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I find it can be a little confusing to get to the element that needs to be changed. And sometimes saving it and publishing takes some time, and I have to reload the site every time.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Storyblok easy to use, which helps keep our website up to date.

  ### 28. Flexible, Scalable, and Empowering for Content Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok’s component-based, headless architecture gives us the flexibility to structure content exactly how we need it, while the Visual Editor empowers non-technical users to make changes safely and efficiently. It scales well as requirements grow and keeps both development and content management clean and maintainable.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Some of the more powerful features require developer input to set up correctly, so non-technical users may need guidance early on before everything feels intuitive.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok removes the limitations of traditional CMSs by separating content from the frontend. This lets us iterate faster, reuse content more effectively, and empower non-technical users to manage updates without developer involvement.

  ### 29. Front-end developer using Storyblok

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt K. | Shopify Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I find Storyblok easy to use, and appreciate that it has on-going updates, new features and support. It integrates well with frameworks such as Next.js and Astro, and has good documentation for this.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Some of the ways in which data/blocks/content is organised could potentially be improved. There can be a bit of a learning curve for new users. But generally it is pretty good.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A modern headless CMS that we enjoy using. It is a good headless CMS solution for modern website builds.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> We're happy to hear that Storyblok is solving the CMS needs for your modern website builds. We understand that there can be a learning curve, and we're committed to providing resources and support to help new users get up to speed quickly.

  ### 30. Clean and intuitive system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

The customisability of Storyblok is the biggest USP for us. As a headless CMS it allows us to work with developers to make award-winning websites with no restrictions.
It is a very clear and easy to use system and integrates perfectly with our Shopify store to give us the best of both design and ecommerce.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Like with any system there are quirks (eg favours Chrome over Safari) but no more than any other system I've used.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it allows us to have a cutting edge designed website. Our developers are able to bring our demands to life. I've never been told 'the system can't do that'. It integrates with everything.

  ### 31. Powerful, but worth its price

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco M. | Head of E-Commerce and Digital Innovation, Consumer Goods, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

For our developers, it is very straightforward to program with it. Our editors also find the operation easy.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Storyblok unfortunately pursues a very expensive pricing strategy in the enterprise sector, which used to be significantly cheaper. The support could also be improved.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are implementing a headless e-commerce system that offers very good performance.

  ### 32. Amazing product with some rough edges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

It is definitely the best of its kind - a block based system natively integrates with the component system of React and thus makes it easy as a developer to "translate" the structure content editors define into something visual. Compared to WordPress or other legacy CMS systems, it is definitely the go-to-way for people using React, Next.js or similar technologies. If you have simple requirements, you will have a great time using Storyblok. For very simple blog pages and the-like there should be no issues. It is actually pretty easy to get up and running with extensive guides that show you exactly what you need to do. It is easy to integrate as there are example repositories, blog posts, and documentation entries. If you intend to build something more complex though, your are way more likely to run into some limitation though and you may even be bottlenecked by the guides down the line (see below in dislike part).
I work with Storyblok almost daily since we adopted it about 9-10 months ago and definitely like the ease of use in the editor interface, even though I am not really an end-user but you still spend much time in there when testing stuff. Our marketing team had great feedback too, especially in comparison to our old, slow WordPress instance.
It is great that the SDKs are open-source - this helps understanding some internal functionality and can help in resolving bugs without the need to contact anyone. It also allows to potentially directly contribute, but I would say that is a whole different discussion if you as a company want to/should contribute to an SDK of a software you potentially already pay thousands per month for.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The first thing that really startled me was that the API sometimes has a really weird data format - numbers come as string, empty fields are "" instead of null (this also applies to e.g. booleans), etc. We built custom wrappers to normalize the data format and validate content coming from Storyblok. It is a pretty common pattern that you need to do some kind of custom solution building or creating workarounds, especially if you plan to use it extensively for all different kinds of content with different functionalities in mind. While that is not necessarily bad, I have seen multiple GitHub issues mentioning "XYZ should [already] be in the library". I don't want to know how often the same basic stuff has already been (re-)implemented all over the world.
I have found myself countless times scouring through the OSS source code of the React and JS library to find a bug, a solution or undocumented special case. Additionally, some in my opinion "no-brainer" features are definitely missing and resulted in us having to invest many hours into building something custom again and again (for example text alignment in RichText does not exist) - it is great that it is even possible to extend and workaround the system using additional fields or custom plugins, but every time I think about the fact that the Enterprise pricing plan is pretty expensive I say to myself everything should be buttery smooth out of the box.
While the support team is super friendly, at least in all cases I had to reach out to them, out of all feature requests we ever submitted over the course of almost a year now none have landed in the software yet (so prepare yourself to build custom stuff and workarounds). The feature request process is also pretty intransparent and you don't know if it has been considered, rots in their backlog forever or if it was internally discarded.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy, fast, customizable and rich content building for the marketing team. It benefits the development process since all data is structured.

  ### 33. Storyblok: headless CMS suited to developers and content managers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David M. | Digital Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Its headless approach allowed us to design a modern, scalable, and performance-oriented architecture.
Optimized content management experience: the visual editor and the modularity of the components and multilingual management significantly accelerated the online publishing process
CLI, API and libraries for frontend frameworks

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Initial setup may require advanced technical expertise (particularly for component structuring and front-end integration)
The management of user roles and rights is relatively complicated and may not be suitable for a very large team.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A flexible headless architecture that separates content and presentation, allowing multiple front-ends (websites, mobile applications, digital displays) to be developed from a single content base.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thank you for sharing your feedback, David! We understand that the initial setup may require advanced technical expertise, and we are continuously working to improve the user experience in this area.

  ### 34. Incredibly powerful CMS, needed more implementation support

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophie S. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

As a headless CMS, Storyblok is incredibly powerful, facilitating ease across a multitude of platforms from websites to apps to digital screens with everything housed in one place. New features and integrations are constantly being developed and improved.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Given the relative newness of headless CMS, we were unsure of how to correctly implement it. No one within the team necessarily had any previous experience with a headless CMS and we weren't advised on best practise for this. Better implementation support would have been appreciated when we started as I'm not sure we ever got it completely set up right.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A way to manage a host of digital platforms outside of websites in one place

  ### 35. Building Pages is Literally Just Stacking Blocks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anupama G. | Marketing Generalist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I love how easy it is to build pages with Storyblock. It allows me to simply save a designed block as a preset, making it effortless to replicate pages with similar layouts. This feature is a complete lifesaver! As someone who frequently creates landing pages, being able to stack pre-saved blocks together saves me so much time.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Yes, Storyblok is excellent for rapidly creating pages, however I find it a little difficult to change certain parts of a preset. Design features such as block styling, font customization, and spacing tweaks are conspicuously lacking.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With its presets, Storyblok makes creating pages quite simple. Rather than repeatedly constructing the identical sections, I can quickly finish by simply adding my stored blocks. I have to make landing pages frequently, so this saves me a ton of work. It removes a great deal of the hassle and maintains a consistent appearance throughout.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share this! It's great to hear that our reusable components have made a real difference in your workflow.

  ### 36. Great product for product managers with no coding competencies

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoire B. | Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Easy to use, great UI, lots of features !

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

May not be the most efficient if you manage a large number of text boxes

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a product manager, I need to update text on our pltaform and I can't code it myself, and we don't want to spend development budget on it as we have higher priority tasks.

  ### 37. Headless CMS, human friendly experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antero G. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

One of the best things about Storyblok is its visual editor combined with a headless CMS architecture.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Learning curve for setup. Learning can be complex

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok is mainly solving the gap between developers and content editors that many traditional and headless CMS platforms struggle with

  ### 38. A great pairing with a headless CMS migration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aaron E. | Digital Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

User-friendly UI with tons of options for tons of customization.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It requires skilled developers in order to get the most out of the tool.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had WordPress and wanted to go headless. Storyblok seemed like the best option and we've been pleased so far.

  ### 39. Easy to use, for dev and end users!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Their UI is super intuitive, and easy to use. The docs for getting everything set up are spot on. We use this across our company site and usage is growing! We recently utilised the API to setup 1000's of templated pages proving how well the integration works

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

We're currently investigating slowness which may or may not be related to Storyblok API requests in our NextJS application.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing marketing team members to quickly set up new pages without dev requirements

  ### 40. Good basis, room for improvement and flexibility

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

It is an easy platform to learn, the fact you can see what you are modifying in real time makes a difference compared to others.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It doesn't seem to have a lot of flexibility in terms of creating new sections that work at personalised requests, maybe the version my company uses is not the full suite but would be nice to have coding options or others to modify the basic components.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an easy 'plug and play' platform to create a website, it seems to integrate well with APIs and other functions more pertinent to my digital / IT department but works well for the marketing and visual side of things.

  ### 41. A solid choice for your headless CMS with a wonderful authoring experience.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shea M. | Technical Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok's visual editor is a delight to all of our content authors. The page and content-building experience is intuitive, fast, and provides immediate feedback. There is no guessing what the result is going to look like. It is fast and easy to get set up and building content.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Storyblok's Javascript libraries need love and attention. The developer experience with integrating and using them needs work.

Storyblok's backup system is not comprehensive of the entire 'Space'.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok gives autonomy to our content authors to build and publish not only content but also an experience with brand and message alignment. The content authors can construct new campaigns and messages and assemble their mission through the CMS and the visual editor. They can then push that message to the world when they are ready and react to feedback and analytics without involving developers. From a technical perspective, using a product such as Storyblok, we can avoid having to build, host, and monitor infrastructure and applications that would require staffing. Instead, we can hire developers who focus on constructing the visual components for our content-authoring team to drive their goals. We stay focused on our objective without having to worry about the underpinnings of the technology.

  ### 42. Storyblok: A powerful CMS with intuitive features and a learning curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maija J. | E-commerce content manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Storyblok offer wide range features, the good part is it with inuative navigation and search for elements, also possibility to build pages like a lego. Storyblok have a good support team, which are helpful , providing insights and recomendations that we need. Storyblok is a good choice for those who have time to invest to see and unlock all posibilities and potential.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

To understand all system how to work and adapt to inner system it takes time. Need to learn a lot and deal with specific details, to recieve needed solution.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It content structure allow to create different pages and reuse the same components, which is much faster and easier to make new pages and projects. That saves time, ensure consistency for large webpages and multilanguage websites.

  ### 43. Good Headless CMS for your digital CX presence

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike G. | Senior Project Manager Digital Customer Process IT, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Straightforward Headless CMS, failry easy to use and onboard content management teams, if the organization requires and is willing to invest the funds, then a WYSIWYG capability is even supported despite Storyblok being a Headless CMS. The ease of implementation also speaks for the selection of this platform. Many existing connectors for other systems (ie. Translation Management Smartling or DAM solutions) round up this platform

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The solution comes with a significant license cost, especially when an organization has larger number of Content Editors, then this can have quite a significant budgetary impact. If a digital experience supports many languages, then there are a few limitations for the concurrent multilanguage content publishing process/workflow. We created our own concurrent multilanguage app within Storyblok to be able to handle content translation and publication workflows without having to stop the process for languages that translated their part faster.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are in full flight of our CX Digital Transformation initiative and as such required a powerful headless CMS to build our new experiences. Storyblok allows us to build rich content and maintain it on our sites in order to stay up relevant and fresh with up-to-date and SEO friendly content

  ### 44. Pleasant Headless CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Piotr L. | Frontend Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

I love the UI interface which allows ease of use for content creators.
Project setup for major frameworks is also fast.
There is a lot of content and community support for Storyblok so as a developer and user I'm pleased to find all the required knowledge on their dedicateda page.
Most of functionality can be done by my code so it's easy to integrate with other services.
My current company has a partner program and the contact with customer support is very good.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

I worked with different CMS in my current possition, the functionlaity I lack the most is multiple spaces/environments for the content.
I wish there was a possibility to work on a content in dedicated space without fear of overriding the production content (an copy of content which can be modified for campaign purposes).

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really simplifies the work with customer content, preparing pages from existing components speeds up the work as no developer support is required.

  ### 45. Great for product, okay for marketing users

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Has every component and works well for product team.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Limited use for marketing, compared to something like hubspot or wordpress.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Website creation, housing, landing pages, etc.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with Storyblok. We're pleased to hear that it's working well for your product team and website creation needs.

  ### 46. Easy-to-Use Headless CMS with Powerful Real-Time Editing and Multilingual Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

The real-time visual editor allows you to see your updates side by side in real time, without needing to refresh the page or visit a separate preview page. The ability to easily copy and paste modules from one page to another is highly useful. Additionally, it provides valuable tools for managing content across multiple languages.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It is difficult to find some pages in the Content section. The search functionality occasionally displays irrelevant results. In other CMS platforms, when you're logged in and visit a live page, there is a banner at the bottom that displays an edit button that takes you directly to the editor. This functioanlity is missing in Storyblok.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok has strong multilingual and localisation features, allowing content to be easily translated and organised for different regions. Storyblok makes it easy to create content through its modular content blocks, allowing us to build and manage pages with reusable components.

  ### 47. Great starter plan to grow your business

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

Ease of use, more affordable compared to other similar solutions.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Would like more documentation and tutorials as well as Nuxt 4 support.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok provides an easy way to manage content and assets, supports SSR for my business.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> We're glad to hear that you find Storyblok easy to use and affordable. We appreciate your feedback about the documentation and tutorials, as well as Nuxt 4 support, and we will definitely take that into consideration for future improvements.

The CMS was easy to implement with thorough guides available, along with development packages to speed this up further. The customer relations team are great, and it really does feel like they listen to you.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

It is missing a few features compared to our previous solution, but the future roadmap looks bright and I'm sure these will be added soon.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok provides an easy to use platform to build out the content for our web platform. With its easy to use API integrations, its simple to integrate with your existing software, and also easy to manage.

  ### 49. Greater Flexibility in using Storyblok CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel C. | Digital Touchpoint Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Storyblok?**

Is user friendly, and its interface is intuitive. With the Storyblok CMS we are able to be more independent in the management of our company website

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

The preview page does not always update.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Storyblok is helping us a lot in managing the CMS relating to our company website, guaranteeing us greater flexibility and significantly reducing intervention times. Furthermore, the structure of the site is now more structured thanks to the use of components aligned with each other

  ### 50. Easy to use CMS

Easy to use component.

Releases are really handy for publishing multiple content at different times.

**What do you dislike about Storyblok?**

Random bugs here and there.

Tech support is paid for. Should be be part of the service.

**What problems is Storyblok solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easier translation from Figma designs to Storyblok could possibly have a big impact on getting new content blocks live quickly.

**Official Response from Maria Baumgartner:**

> Thanks so much for your feedback!
