We have been on the platform for 4+ years and are very happy. Receives the highest positive reviews from our internal team surveys. The modules and libraries have changed how we interact with the marketing teams. It's the perfect solution to allow marketers to collaborate on a pixel perfect system without providing direct access to the you main deployment tool. Then for a select audience you can grant permissions to let them push final emails into the ESP. Very collaborative product team that makes enhancements to the product and collaborates with customers. In 20 years in digital, this team would rank in top 3 of what a MarTech tool should deliver and how a product team should interact with clients. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** There are no downsides from the product level. I do wish we could fluctuate the number of seats/liceneses by paying via credit card instead of annual licenses, but that's because of our business model. Perhaps thats just us. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ability to shift technical resources from order taker model with multiple rounds of revisions to having the marketers colloborate on finished emails. The UX is very intuitive and easy to navigate. They are always making improvements to the UX based on customer feedback. It integrates very easily with Marketo and SFDC. Uploading emails to your MAP is very simple. Their customer support is very quick to respond and help resolve any issues that come up. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** The reporting and analytics could stand to be improved. It's difficult to determine the amount of time between creation and upload times and how it changes over time without speaking with your CSM. I also wish Stensul would allow emails to be upload into folders instead of just programs. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** The plug and play aspect of the template builder has allowed us to reduce the time from email creation to send by quite a bit. It makes it very easy to upload content to use in emails. The modules also make it very easy to develop templates for future use as well. ### 3. I've always had full control of my templates, my code. I was fast and could customize the template directly in the HTML. But Stensul proved me wrong. I can now be even faster. I realized I was wasting precious time being "hands on." And it's not like that's gone away--I can still edit the code however I want. But 99% of the time, that's not necessary, so why not simplify my life which in turns makes my stakeholders happy? Stensul lets me plug and play and build something within seconds. Literally. And it doesn't take me much longer to create something new or different, by playing around with the settings in each module, all of which we've designed in advance. Perhaps the best part is it's not only the perfect self-service solution for us, but because Stensul is SO easy, other teams can build the emails, given our team more time to focus on bigger, more time-consuming things like strategy and analytics. We also save time and effort without having to send tests for the sake of stakeholder review and approval. They can access the public previews on the fly! Furthermore, the Stensul support team has always been responsive and helpful, and they listen to our suggestions on how to improve the platform. I now regret that we didn't implement them sooner! We use it every day. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** I would love to be able to "kick out" someone who has a Stensul email open, similar to how WordPress does it. More often than not, we have to remind our colleagues to close the email, as only one user at a time can edit. Stensul added a time-out that kicks a user out due to inactivity, but it can be frustrating to have to wait, especially considering how time-sensitive some of our campaigns are. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** I already listed all the amazing things about Stensul under the "What do you like best about Stensul?" question. Ultimately, Stensul saves you time! And time is money! Not only that, but it ensures that you don't have any wacky code or errors in your code. In this day and age, it's no longer practical -- or commercially sensible -- to have to code by hand. Simplify your production with Stensul, but still have the flexibility to be creative in your email building. ### 6. It was so easy. And, the ability to use comment bubbles throughout the email proof to note necessary edits made the whole process easy to collaborate with my team on what needed to be changed. The review and approval process was streamlined, and sure beats the old-school method of sending a test message, reviewing it in my inbox and then trying to describe in chat or another email to the email team what needed to be changed. In short, the efficiency afforded by Stensul was a huge benefit. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** The only disadvantage is simply having to login each time to use Stensul--it slows me down. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stensul streamlines our email approval process, saving staff time for key tasks and allows us to collaborate more efficiently, as the edits left in the comment bubbles of our branded email that we are proofing are automatically seen by our email team, so there's no question as to whether they received the edits or where the edits should be made. ### 7. We use Stensul as the medium to collaborate between the teams. The templates are great, as a campaign manager, I create my emails the way I want and share with our operations team who then QA it and import directly into Marketo for the send. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** If you are a small team then you may not find Stensul most beneficial, this is mainly helpful atleast for us since we have multiple users creating emails, standardizing emails and having reviwers/share final email in layout. It is very user friendly and easy to use, and allows for a lot of customization without needing to know how to code/HTML. I love that there are set templates and modules that you simply drag and drop into your campaign -- this makes for really aesthetic and clean designs that are consistent across each email and also you don't need to think twice about designing. I use Stensul weekly and have been using it for over 2 years now and I love that I can just copy an older campaign to make a new one so I don't even ever have to start from scratch. I have not had to utilize customer service at all but that just goes to show I have not needed it, so that's good news! **What do you dislike about Stensul?** The only thing I would change/add to Stensul is an "undo" button or feature. If I do accidentally delete something or make a change, I am unfortunately not able to "undo" it, but instead I have to do it all over again. It has hundreds of options to customize every design just how you want it so that you do not have to settle for sub-par material. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** There isn't too much to say about Stensul that I do not like. If I had to choose something I would say I wish there were more pre-approved photo options instead of having to sift through google for just the right one. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stensul provides pre-made layouts that you can customize to make your own. It gives you a starting base to build from instead of starting from scracth and building a brand new template which ultimately saves time. I also like that it allows you to use other people's layouts or re-post previously published material instead of starting all over each time. They have frequent meetings/seminars discussing upcoming plans/capabilities too! There are so many features and capabilities available, we take advantage of multiple in order to be super-efficient in launching emails. We are always working towards trimming down SLAs, so we are consistently updating modules, creating templates, and always looking for more efficient ways of getting emails out the door – wouldn’t be possible without Stensul. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** There are a couple of hiccups that we have encountered using different capabilities on platform, examples include tool being slow/laggy & certain features not being available. If other departments wanted a new layout, I was able to create beautiful templates in no time. Now after about one year of using Stensul, I am still a big fan. I create templates quickly and seemlessly and it has helped us to keep up with our growing email volume over time. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** Some of the admin settings are more difficult to navigate. Also, the image tool doesn't help you resize images very well, you are really stuck with the original dimensions and proportions and if they are not ideal, the photo will be blurry. Additionally, the new AI tools are not always impressive. We often use the subject line and preheader as jumping off points for ideas, but end up changing them to our style because they sound awkward. The AI image creator creates often creepy versions of humans, so we don't find much use in that feature. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stensul helps us to build our email templates in a creative space before mapping them to our ESP where we deploy them. It makes creating professional-looking emails incredibly easy for our team without extensive training. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** Although Stensul has been a valuable tool for our team, there are a few areas of improvement for this tool. Email browser client rendering seems like it will always be a challenge in this industry. When using Stensul, we have seen a significant decrease in our rendering issues but occasionally run into a couple of email browser clients that display incorrectly. We think it would be beneficial for Stensul to have a way to test email rendering across multiple email browser clients within their platform or have a partnership with a third-party vendor that can accomplish this. We think this would streamline our testing process and ensure flawless email delivery to our audience. Even though Stensul’s email builder is intuitive, our team did run into some technical issues with email modules that make up the sections of each email. We found it limiting that Stensul can only give us so many modules based on pricing tiers. Having more flexibility on this in the future would greatly benefit our creative/design process. When we tried to implement Stensul’s dynamic content feature, we found it was not a smooth process to add snippet code to our emails and use the dynamic content integration with Marketo. If Stensul improved this feature’s usability, it would save our team’s time and effort in personalizing our emails. Stensul’s approval process didn’t work as seamlessly as we hoped for our specific working environment. The integration with Wrike needs fine-tuning on the user experience front and more customization options. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before Stensul we didn't have a resource or solution for email creation within Marketo. Since using Stensul, it has become an integral part of our email marketing toolkit, thanks to its user-friendly interface, excellent support, and constant innovation. We look forward to seeing how Stensul continues to evolve and address these minor issues to provide an even more robust platform for email creation. We have significantly improved our speed to market through the simplicity of the tool itself, but also, by empowering more users to perform this function vs relying on a highly technical skillset. The highly technical skillset can now focus on other tasks and has relinquished email building responsibilities to the broader team. The Stensul team was incredibly patient, informative and knowledgable during our implementation stage. Our team felt supported from start to finish (and beyond). **What do you dislike about Stensul?** It would be great to be able to create folders to organize our 'completed' emails. We deploy a lot of emails, so the list becomes quite long to sort through. We use tags now, but folders would be helpful in a future release. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** Stensul has greatly improved our speed to market with email campaigns, and improved our review & approval process. It used to take at least 2 weeks (duration) to schedule resources who had the technical skillset to develop and code emails, create a beta test to share with stakeholders and manually compile feedback only to then be sent back to the development resource for udpates and re-testing. Today, we can get this process down to 3-5 business days as the email build itself can be done within an hour (or less) which allows us to be more nimble and less reliant on long lead times for scheduling available resources. In addition, the OFT export functionality has enabled the marketing team to support Sales and Customer Service with templated communications that are consistent with our branding and tone to be able to send emails via Outlook. ### 26. Our Admins have created templates for different types of emails and newsletters and can easily update them when we change up our branding and graphics. Formatting in Stensul is all modular so it makes is very easy to copy the best template and then make any necessary changes to the formatting to suit a given email. My absolute favourite feature in Stensul is the Preview tool so that I can look at what my final email will look like on desktop or mobile. This is also a great way to share the email preview with other stakeholders and executives for final approval since they don't have access to our marketing automation tool. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** There is truly nothing that I dislike about Stensul. Additionally, you can push your finished emails right from Stensul into your email platform (in our case, Marketo) for the finished product to be sent out. This eliminates having to allow everyone into your email sending platform (reduces license costs for Marketo) and also room for error by having too many cooks in the kitchen with access to features they do not need. **What do you dislike about Stensul?** We were somewhat early users of the product so we tend to be high on the list of finding bugs for new features - nothing that makes it un-usable and usually small quirks that get resolved quickly. Nothing that is a game changer. But on that note, our support manager and team are top notch and have lightning fast response times. **What problems is Stensul solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows us to pre-build our brand guildelines into an email builder to make it easy for the email team, events team, research team (and others from around our organization) to quickly crank out eamils that we know are on-brand for our buisness. It eliminaites a lot of custom build time that we would otherwise have to do in Marketo, creating a serious bottleneck and reducing how many communications we could get out the door. Additionally, it seems as though Stensul is constantly innovating and adding new features every day to enhace the power of this email builder to make it even more robust. ### 35.
