Create monitors for the services your customers rely on, choose how often StatusCake should run checks, and route alerts to the people responsible for responding. StatusCake is built for teams that need clear monitoring without turning setup into a long sales process. Start with a website, API endpoint, SSL certificate, domain, or server, then expand your monitoring setup as your coverage grows. StatusCake uptime monitoring checks whether websites, pages, and services are reachable and behaving as expected. A monitor can fail because a page is unavailable, returns the wrong status code, responds too slowly, has missing or unexpected content, or presents an SSL validation problem. This helps your team catch more than basic availability issues. For website uptime monitoring, StatusCake supports HTTP and HTTPS checks, with additional test types available for services that need a different approach. Teams can monitor important URLs such as homepages, login pages, checkout pages, customer dashboards, pricing pages, documentation, help centers, API health endpoints, and other customer-facing pages. Parts of the user interface could use improvement. The tests page doesn't display the test ID anymore. You can't search tests by ID. The maintenance page doesn't have a search function. The API has saved us a ton of time with our custom reports. We use StatusCake at Golden Tours and it’s become one of those tools that quietly does its job in the background - until the moment you really need it. When something drops, we get notified straight away through our integrations, which means we’re reacting fast rather than finding out after customers do. I originally came for uptime monitoring, but I’ve ended up using a lot more features. The page speed checks are genuinely useful, even if my site is “up” it can still feel broken if it’s slow, and the latency alerts have helped us spot that before it turns into a bigger issue. The SSL and domain expiry reminders are also a big deal for peace of mind (it’s easy for those dates to creep up on you when you’re busy). We also like the dashboards for a live overview in the office, and being able to add different team members so it’s not all sitting with one person.
