What do you dislike about Stata?

Its quite challenging to the new users and beginners and for one to confidently use stata in the research process, one needs to have in-depth knowledge, such as in graphical interpretations, use of regression and standard errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tool for Sophisticated Analysis"
5/5
What do you like best about Stata?

Stata is a widely used application in the higher education system. The reason behind it is that it is relatively easy to learn and use compared similar software that exists on the market. I have been using Stata for several years now and I can proudly say that it can do advanced analysis pretty well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stata?

The price for Stata seems to be very high but after years of using it, I can say that the product is not overpriced, on the contrary, is it underpriced, because of its vast potential. After one realizes how useful this software can be its price no longer seems high. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Stata - You should use, no questions asked!"
5/5
What do you like best about Stata?

Stata is my favorite statistical software, by far. I have used SPSS, SAS and R, and Stata combines ease of use with powerful capabilities. SPSS is a little clunky, SAS is not as intuitive and R isn't standardized. I definitely recommend Stata for any scientist looking to perform his own statistics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stata?

No complaints. You need to purchase or get institutional access to a license, unlike R or SAS Univesity. I don't think Stata has powerful data science-type programs, but I don't use them and haven't looked. I don't like the graph visualizations. It's clunky to use. I end up transferring the raw data into GraphPad Prism. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for econometric analysis"
5/5
What do you like best about Stata?

Regressions are made very simply in stata.. super easy to get a variety of standard errors as well. This is my favorite software for statistical analysis; and it is very useful for academic research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stata?

Hard to use on a cloud desktop, so in a sense limited by the memory of my laptop. I know there is a way to connect to a cloud desltop but I tried and failed. Wish they would simplify it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best software for data analysis"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Stata?

It is easy to use with both interface and syntax. It is very fast compared to other statistical softwares. Novel statistical methods have been upgraded in each year with a new version. Data cleaning, quality-control and formating datasets are very useful and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Stata?

The printing format for the results may be better. Editing graphs may be more flexible and easy. Sometimes the available packages is ot enough for the research, such as circular statistics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
