It has been around for a very long time and is recognized in most fields. **What do you dislike about Stata?** Outside of academia, I think that Stata is falling behind competitors (R, SAS, etc). The open source features of R in particular make me choose it over Stata unless required. **What problems is Stata solving and how is that benefiting you?** Analysis of massive (1 million+ row) datasets. I can rely on it to handle this size effectively. ### 3. The ability to write codes mean you are not restricted by the drop down menu. **What do you dislike about Stata?** Stata is still not a one-stop solution for all statistical analysis. For example, there is no support for simulation. **What problems is Stata solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use stata for regression analysis, measurement model, structural equation modeling. ### 10.
