The HCA offering from Starwind is one of the best values for an SMB looking to have a highly available clustered hypervisor solution at an affordable price point. The StarWind customer support team is fantastic. I have purchased more expensive storage appliances in the past and received nowhere near the level of dedication and support that I have seen from their team. The only complaint I have is their use of the FedEx Freight Shipping Service for SMB, as we are at a location that does not have a dock, so this created some headache. Storage Performance on the cluster may not be a high as some other solutions due to the replication between nodes, but you can not find a better offering at this price point. Some of the suggestions they have regarding not using EDR tools on the host tools may not be a best practice from a security standpoint, but we do not see it as a significant issue. What I like most is that StarWind ultimately doesn't force any specific hardware or software. We are able to do our own hardware and software upgrades without limitations.
