My nonprofit organization purchased a pair of Starwind Hyperconverged Appliances almost 3 years ago. We wanted to simplify our environment while also cutting costs on server equipment. We compared a couple different vendors but settled on Starwind for the cost and excellent reviews. We replaced our old VMware hosts/SAN storage with the Starwind HCA's and have since converted numerous physical servers to VM's. We've been smoothly running about 50 VM's on our HCA's ever since then. Over the past 3 years, there were two instances where Starwind proactively notified me of an issue with our cluster and effortlessly guided me through the process of correcting the issues, with zero downtime to any of our VM's. Their onboarding was fantastic as well, they did a majority of the setup work, and provided as much help and guidance as I needed. I honestly don't have anything in particular to complain about. Nothing is perfect, but the only issues we had were promptly identified and resolved with minimal effort on my part, and were caught early and did not cause downtime.
