It integrates directly into my WMS, so my team doesn't even see it, as it operates in the background doing everything they need. I appreciate how it takes complexity out of their operations by allowing them to focus on one system while everything is set up and running smoothly in the background. This system is easy to operate because the rules are well implemented. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** I don't like how it handles GST and margins. I would rather that it calculate our shipment cost from the carrier, apply our margin at that point, and then apply the GST afterwards or just completely remove the GST portion of the cost calculation. Because of the way Starshipit calculates GST before the margin, my GST cost is incorrect. It's a bit of a frustration point. So that means I've had to remove the automatic processing of charges to my customer, and have a manual process, which is a bit frustrating, but I'm sure we'll find a solution in the future. **What problems is Starshipit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Starshipit to manage courier integrations, simplifying carrier selection and cost consigning. It automates rules in our warehouse system, so operators just print consignment labels without needing to think about shipping details. ### 2. It separates orders to relevant warehouses and splits them appropriately by SKU and size, which makes life much easier. I really like that the interface is so easy to use. This simple interface with an amazing UI is great, especially when you have different dispatch warehouses and several people fulfilling orders; everyone can just get on with their day really simply. Also, the staff is so helpful and friendly, which makes a big difference. The initial setup was basic and Jess made it so easy. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** We are currently working with the Starshipit team to improve the workflow from Maropost which is a system they are not 100% familiar with, but do have an integration. Starshipit were confident their software could work and they helped us every step of the way with set up and integration. We were looking for something that was as easy to integrate as a woocommerce plugin but worked better and more consistently and with the support we needed. We wanted something that was intuitive and easy to navigate and this was ticking all the boxes. Customer support throughout was fantastic. The team were helpful, knowledgeable, and easy to reach whenever I needed them and were also there to guide our client on using the software. Only thing I didn't like was the HS Code management and VAT/TAX Paid. This one required some additional work and so did getting the weights right. We also use another vendor for a different part of our buisness, but I noticed myself moving to Starshipit over the other vendor more often, to the point where I only use the other vendor now for international shipments. Starshipit has the easiest interface - it took me less than one afternoon to figure out all the bits and pieces we needed to use to run our business effectively. Easy re-prints, easy return labelling, easy archiving of orders and good intergration from our e-commerce platform. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** We would love to be able to ship internationally. The integration time is around 6 minutes from order to Starshipit receiving the information - it would be so cool to have that be a bit faster for the days when I am under the pump! **What problems is Starshipit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I know that that they are looking at error codes for me (that aren't actually error codes) and also speeding up integration timing. ### 8. I moved from ShipStation to StarShip becuase of the live rates in the checkout option. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** Unfortunately, the printing of labels is unreliable and I often have issues I didn't have with ShipStation, or printing directly ex eParcel, or printing ex Sendle direct. I suspect they're releasing new features that breaks existing functionality, then have to patch the software after it goes live. **What problems is Starshipit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Shipping Automation - when it works I shoudl be able to print all my labels with 1 click. When it doesn't I have to open every order, download a pdf, open the pdf in preview, print the pdf in preview, close the preview, refresh the browser to go back to the open orders screen, select next order, download again. The Shopify integration is fairly reliable and only rarely do I need to manually trigger an import to bring in missing orders. The workflow functionality for verifying products to pack prior to printing labels is very useful. It gives you the ability to create plain shipping labels for postage items that require stamps. The print client installed on the shipping desktop is reliable and doesn't crash as often compared to some other shipping applications. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** Inability to see product images on packing slips and order fulfilment screens. Apparently this was going to be released sometime around December 2023 but it is July 2024 and it still hasn't been released. Packing slip custom design interface is very painful to use. When changing the parcel size you need to click refresh to load the applicable prices. **What problems is Starshipit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Workflow based order fulfillment and shipping to improve efficiency. I have had to access customer support a couple of times with questions around implementation, or changes within our business and they have been quick to respond to all questions and provide additional training or support where required. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** It would be very helpful to have an easier way to connect customer location and charge shipping according to weight and postcode. The 'archive' area only stores the labels for a few months; which means we have to manually search and restore each label when we want to process our shipments. We were hesitant about the admin requried to change our courier and software but it was only a couple of hours to completely transfer everything over. The fact that we could bulk print orders and verify bulk addresses were the number one benefit for us sacving alot of time. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** Getting the correct address verification and integration with Aramex. I think there needs to be a thorough integration and troubleshooting process to ensure the correct addresses are being entered on shopify and are verified correctly onto starshipit and through to Aramex. Incorrectly verified addresses for orders cost time, money and customer service and getting this right from the very start would have removed alot of the cost of changing over. **What problems is Starshipit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to bulk verify customer addresses and print our courier tickets. ### 19. I had signed up to star ship it once prior and didn't get the same start up service. The service I got made me realise how easy it was to use. I needed it done FAST after our Black Friday Sale blew up bigger than expected. I was on a call the next day and set up that same day! I felt confident to use the platform which made the most difference. The platform is also AMAZING, straight forward and easy to use. The customer support we have had has been incredible. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** I haven't figured out how to add our wholesale website (we have two) I also haven't made the time to look into it yet. **What problems is Starshipit solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are a rapidly growing business, we have gone from hand writing on packages, to manually entering details and it was just becoming overwheleming the busier we got. Very intuitive for various shipping scenarios that I encounter. Support team are always responsive. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** You can only set 1 default sender's address - meaning if your pick-up address is different for some reason, you need to manually change it. When printing labels of different sizes (for example, domestic and international labels), you need to manually send to different printers - not a huge deal but would be convenient if it could automatically send to print to pre-selected printers. When printing the packing summary, would be nice to be able to order it by a particular feature like SKU or Size as it is currently random (our inventory is ordered by size so it does make picking a bit of a pain). **What problems is Starshipit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reducing human/manual errors when processing orders. When already dealing with all the various Shopify integration suppliers, it can be incredibly overwhelming. Particularly if you choose a supplier that only offer chat or email support. There is always so much to understand about Shopify, that when you choose a supplier like Starshipit, who are experts with the platform, their knowledge on setup and integrations is a life saver. **What do you dislike about Starshipit?** More shipping integrations please. We are signing up to KiwiExpress and it would be super helpful if you also integrated with them. Not many shipping companies deal with heavy items as a specialty, and so are very expensive. But KiwiExpress offer expertise at a reasonable price for our customers **What problems is Starshipit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Partially. NZPost and DHL yes, but for KiwiExpress no, we will need to do manually handling for this courier, which will be about half of our consignments in 2024 I think ### 22. You can change carriers or split the consignment up into seperate consignments as you need to for each individual sale so customising is not a problem, printing lables and booking in a pickup is all handled within a couple of screens. Customer support is excellent via email and the help articles are easily followed. You can track consignments, look at statistics and it wont allow you to send to a wrong address massive plus for zero returns! I started with the basic under 250 a month consignments and was blown away by the incredible value and support offered for a very reasonable price. I love the customisations Starshipit enables me to send to my customers via email and **SMS** letting them know the shipment is on its way with the tracking link, about to arrive and delivered this alone has saved me countless hours of customer service along with having printed consignments and customs done all within the one screen.
