## StackPath CDN Reviews
  ### 1. Fast Setup for an even faster loading website or web application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin D. | Head Nerd, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2023

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

The CDN is fast to implement in our projects. The distributed network is even faster. The Admin Portal is also easy to work with.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

It used to be MaxCDN, and we really liked them. The changeover from MaxCDN to StackPath was a little jarring, but we got through it, thanks to their support team.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The CDN is well-distributed and very, very fast. That helps us improve the loading speed of our website, as well as our customers'.

  ### 2. Stackpath is going downhill fast. Stay away.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christoph M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

Their CDN and WAF are ok. Slightly below average, I would say, but good enough for production use. The significant advantage was that they had decent pricing for long-term customers until now. But that just changed, so nothing stands out or gives this company an edge anymore. They are overpriced now, with a mediocre product.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

Stackpath is neither the best CDN nor the best WAF out there. They don't have that many POPs and are not particularly fast or offer advanced features.
However, they had a reasonable price until now. But they have changed the pricing and are forcing loyal, long-term customers into their new pricing model, which quadruples the price in our case.

Also, a few months ago, they stopped support for paying customers almost entirely and started to offer an add-on support package (with high pricing, of course). The milking process has begun, and we are not on board. We are migrating to a service offering better value and a better product; there are many.

Goodbye, Stackpath; it was fun while it lasted.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a CDN with integrated WAF. It offers protection and Edge-Caching.

  ### 3. Price Gouging: Pricing went up 275% without warning!!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Avrom D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2023

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

It is a good CDN which makes our site and client sites run faster. Reliability is quite good and stable.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

StackPath used to be CDN which was phenomenal. We had legacy pricing. Suddenly in Feb 2023, our plan went up a whopping 275% without prior notice!!! In addition, the USD/CAD dollar at 30% to 35% makes this entirely and ridiculously overpriced. In addition, support went utterly downhill, with online and call support removed and hidden. Services were reduced and removed, and pricing went up. We carried it another month out of courtesy to our clients - but to say we are pissed off is an understatement.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improved site speed and was an addon we could offer clients.

  ### 4. My service has now been increased by 500%. Will be leaving them very shortly.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anthony I. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 08, 2023

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

Fairly easy to use for CND services for beginners and works well with wordpress. However I will be looking for a replacement after my price went up suddenly by 500%

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

price gouging after 5 years of service. I've been a customer for 5 years now. Today I was emailed saying they would be increasing their prices. Long story short the cost of my service has now been increased by 500%.

Will be leaving them very shortly.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps speed up websites to users around the globe

  ### 5. Good CDN

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saad A. | Associate Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 15, 2022

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

StackPath offers a range of other features and benefits that help protect and optimize your site. Advanced caching options, DDoS protection, and real-time analytics are some of them

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

We had a negative experience with the service due to outages which broke overall integeration. The cost of the product didn't reflect the service provided. Making their dashboard modern & easy to navigate would be the first step of improvement.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped reduce load times and improve the overall user experience of website's visitors delivering fast and reliable content, increasing engagement and potentially leading to more conversions.

  ### 6. No good any more. Don't bother.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon F. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2021

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

StackPath used to be good in the early days. Then they bought out MaxCDN and KeyCDN, and started offering their firewall and CDN as a service to hosting providers like CloudWays. They got too big too fast and didn't have processes in place to cope.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

Live Chat staff do not have the power to actually do anything. Everything has to be escalated and takes hours if not days to resolve. Automatic billing occurs over weekends, but there are no billing staff available on weekends to fix issues, and other staff have no access to billing systems.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have now moved all of my services away from StackPath. I used to recommend them to colleagues and larger customers, but not any more. Two years ago things started to decline, and in the last few months they have changed their pricing structure significantly (and hidden it from the public website), and now new signups must contact sales first.

  ### 7. Incredible Support. As feature-ful as Fastly, and as easy as Cloudflare

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin P. | Head of Social Media Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2020

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

- Incredible support staff available 24/7
- Edge scripts are like cloudflare workers and are better than lambda@edge
- 100% free SSL's unlike Fastly
- 100 additional domains per site, unlike Cloudfront's ten
- Ability to set cache keys from the origin for easy cache clearing
- Good speed (TTFB globally of < 50ms for me)

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

The only thing I can think of is the lack of auto image optimization.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a multi-tenant application where customized user's content needs to be delivered at the edge. That means I need to allow for an arbitrary number of domains to connect to my service AND keep ultra-low latency (so a single origin doesn't cut it).

  ### 8. Trouble cancelling and didn't do squat to speed up site

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2020

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

Had hoped to realize reduced load times for website

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

Terrible inane UI for cancelling, tried cancelling several times and getting nowhere - then got billed again, they make it's incredibly frustrating to cancel. It also did little to speed up my site.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really cheap shot -- when a SAS company makes it hard to cancel we all know why. Very disappointed with STACKPATH. It also did little to speed up my site. No real benefits

  ### 9. From good to bad to worse

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2020

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

Affordability and response. They are quite affordable and chat response that could help you to solve L1 problems.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

Service. The pathetic service. Frequent downtime, and that too for hours. Their infra team takes hours, even half a day, to resolve their network problem. Their unstable network causes frequent downtime, which not only makes you lose business but have an adverse effect on your Google ranking as well, bringing damages for a very long time.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initially, I was a happy customer. However, for the last few months, they have completely lost the mojo. I opted for their service to improve my site load time, accessibility and search ranking. Instead, frequent downtime, hours of server unavailability and the less skilled team failed me.

  ### 10. A very effective and easy to comprehend network for content delivery

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy A. | Talent Acquisition Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

Safety is the major issue of the internet users. They want to protect their devices and social media profiles from any sort of scams and harmful effects. Stackpath cdn enables users to make their profiles protected.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

The major issue with the tool is customization of time zone. You cannot personalize the time zone as per your wish. In fact it runs under UTC time. Stackpath is a complex tool. It is not user friendly. The only path that is recognized and used by the Stackpath is IP 4.

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2019

StackPath CDN is easy to set up and manage, with quality reporting and simple integration with StackPath's Web Application Firewall and DNS products. It is highly economical and affordable. It has a free trial available too. It offers high performance content delivery with an exceptional security for the shared data. It is an amazing developer friendly tool.

Stackpath CDN is although very economical but most of the features offered by stackpath are available at a much lower cost in many other CDN services too. It is also a relatively small network and very few of its servers are deployed outside Europe.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

It is an amazing developer friendly tool.

StackPath CDN is fully documented for its users to understand it better. It also has a 24/7 customer support. It is relatively new in the market despite that it is quickly evolving and growing. ### 15. maxcdn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** doris M. | Obrero, Utilities, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

It is spectacular as MaxCDN is a content delivery network (CDN) provider, based in Los Angeles, California. The company emphasizes reducing latency of rich-content delivery. MaxCDN maintains regional edge servers where customer files are replicated in multiple locations around the world. Dynamic routing logic instructs the end-user's browser to display a copy of the MaxCDN customer's rich-content files, from the location in nearest proximity to the end-user.

MaxCDN hosts Nginx servers in Europe, North America and Asia; MaxCDN utilizes Anycast stateless routing for one-to-nearest content delivery over multiple 10 Gbit/s connections

  ### 16. Top quality CDN for the website owner

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramón L. | Analista de Sistemas, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

maxcdn is one of the best cdns you will find out there. It packs with everything one could need in terms of content delivery, i did not know much about cdns but maxcdn made it easy from the begining and their free trial is awesome as it includes almost all the features as if you were a paid user. This let's you first experience what you are going to buy.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

There's little to dislike about maxcdn, when others make something that's overly superior then i thinks we would have another point of reference, but at the moment maxcdn is one of the points of reference of what a cdn should do.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

Give it a try, use the trial and play with all the options avaliable, there's always new features to discover.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asset management and caching is the main reason we use maxcdn for. It supercharges any website and makes things load faster because you only have to worry about your html and little other thing to be handled by your webserver.

  ### 17. MAXCDN is an overall good global CDN service.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex W. | VP of Engineering, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

MAXCDN's speed is fast and price is reasonable. They are not the fastest CDN in a particular region, but is all top 5 of all regions in 9GAG own benchmark. MAXCDN gives you enough flexibility to control your CDN behaviors, that is helpful for DevOps team. The dashboard the clear and realtime. Their priority-support team is quite good.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

They never get 100% SLA. MAXCDN always has some tiny incidents from some POPs (Ef, AU/EU). They will reroute your traffic to nearest POP, but during that time, the latency increased. You may need to create your own monitoring process by using some other services, as their NOC team found problem late sometime. Their price of South America is not cheap.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

If you need a global balanced CDN, no need very high bandwidth support. MAXCDN should be a good choice

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

9GAG needs a Global CDN which can provide fast services / full controllable / reasonable price / five nine SLA / flexible enterprise contract .. We runs our own benchmark on 8 CDN providers, MAXCDN is the overall good and balanced one.

  ### 18. A fair service

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anibal S. | Senior Software Developer Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

MaxCDN provides a convenient CDN service, that can be easily implemented in any site without any fuss. Poke around the infrastructure of any startup website or mobile app these days, and you're bound to find MaxCDN doing much of the heavy lifting.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

MaxCDN configuration is simple. It would be great to have more configuration options or ways to invalidate assets.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

MaxCDN offers a simple but powerful service to deliver any kind of assets from a networks of servers. This helps to avoid server overloads and distribute content in an effective way.

At the end, MaxCDN helps to accelerate, control and deliver from small and medium web sites.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MaxCDN is a solution that can be recommended to any site owner and it can be simply implemented in a small or medium website. At the end, MaxCDN provides what you need to deliver content fast.

  ### 19. A very good service backed up by even better personal help.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott J. | Principal/Marketing and SEO Consultant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

I would have to say the personal service available when you need it. Their CDN service is excellent or course, but if you can't get it configured correctly it doesn't help. I found that MaxCDN always has someone to talk or chat with to get even less-technical people up and going quickly.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

They have made strides in simplifying their UI in recent years, but it can still be intimidating. I would recommend they build an even simpler one - maybe sort of a get started wizard or sorts.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

Try a quality plugin to handle the CDN handshake - wp-rocket, W3 Cache, or Super-Cache.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speed - it is very, very important on the web these days. Our main line of business in conversion optimization. The very first thing we do with a client site is get it running on MaxCDN.

  ### 20. Want CDN? get MaxCDN

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Delimer G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

Maxcdn is one of the best cdn services out there, it offers everything you need at a reasonable cost. It also does not act a proxy like other CDNS so it won't block things you don't want to be blocked.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

One thing we dislike is that it does not have a free plan but a trial version, sometimes one has minor sites which could need a bit of cdn boost, but you don't want to pay because it does not make you any money, well in that case we have CloudFlare.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

Use the trial version and you will get a very complete experience of what the paying version will be.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content caching, speeding sites up, attack protection.

  ### 21. MaxCDN your first CDN option

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo S. | Web Programmer, Wholesale, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

MaxCDN is actually the top service of the market, you can't go wrong with it, has all the features a CDN should have, the support is great and it's very easy to implement.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

The trial version forces you to use a credit card, while other cdn services offer limited features service free.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

If giving your credit card number without wanting to buy is not a problem for you. Definitely go for the trail and see the magic for yourself.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CDN, Content Delivery, Site Protection, easy configuration.

  ### 22. maxcdn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ronner m. | Gerente, Wireless, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

excellent as it emphasizes the reduction of latency multimedia content delivery

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

everything is very good on this platform. !! nothing disgusts me

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

more than 100 % recommended to all people looking for quickly and efficiently

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have solved many problems with this platform since its speed helps me perform my operations more quickly

  ### 23. Solid performance, great API

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew N. | Founder / Lead Developer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

I love how easily they integrate with existing web frameworks / platforms. I'm a WordPress developer by trade, and I've never had an issue getting it tied into a site for whatever reason it's being used.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

Honestly, I've not hit any real negatives. There could be a better stand-alone plugin for WP, but that's not a huge issue for us.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

If a "true" CDN is needed (and not just offsite file storage) then MaxCDN is the easiest I've worked with.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clients that have image heavy sites don't want to load up their server with the images, and also don't want the performance hit that often comes with it.

  ### 24. Great company, highly professional personal!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luba Y. | Enterprise Account Executive - Managed IT Services, IT Infrastructure Products, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

Absolutely loved personal approach to my business! Thank you for NOT treating us as a number like other companies do, Thank you for being innovative and responding to all our requests!

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

There is nothing to dislike! They are wonderful!

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

Once you go with MaxCDN you wont be looking for another CDN provider ever. You will get best of all at the best price with the best support, what else you need?

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There was multiple issues with our website, but the minute we switched to MaxCDN they were able to resolve all of the issues even beyond the ones we have paid them for!!! \

They will go away far and beyond to help you!

  ### 25. MaxCDN is a very fast CDN solution.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

MaxCDN is very well documented service. You can setup a CDN solution within a short time period. Just login to their website. You can choose out of a lot of custom functions, e.g. protect your content from hot-linking or seperate your content into different buckets.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

MaxCDN is a nearly complete CDN solution and as said, you can choose from a lot of option to setup. You can setup a secure https CDN, but it's very expensive if you want to use your own domain name and custom certificates. And they don't integrate free certificates from Let's encrypt like others do.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used MaxCDN as a CDN service for our websites and customer sites.

  ### 26. MAX CDN is one of the best content delivery network

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandip D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

I like the simplicity of using the CDN. We just need to give URL of the anything that we need to import and that's it. No download no upload. Simply best.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

Although I enjoyed the max CDN most time. And I really enjoyed it but sometimes it sees that when the page load it takes long time with Max CDN.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier withoutax CDN we usually download the bootstrap and all the other Javascript library. But with help of max CDN now it's just one line of code that we need to add.

  ### 27. Never had problems before.

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**

The simplicity of it all. Being able to host js and css resources and include them easily on any webpage.

**What do you dislike about StackPath CDN?**

The loading of resources could be faster, I believe CloudFlare has faster loading times in terms of js and css files.

**Recommendations to others considering StackPath CDN:**

It's a good CDN network. Can easily meet expectations when solving technical requirements.

**What problems is StackPath CDN solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a web application for photo sharing and critiquing.

  ### 30. Latency reducing leader

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tony T. | Master Test Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2016

**What do you like best about StackPath CDN?**
