**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Utilizes the familiar Stack Overflow question and answer approach
Allows for multiple answers
Tagging is easy
Notifications are good

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Relative to other ways to capture knowledge, this will be less organized, but nowadays people are accustomed to search rather than using a table of contents, so I don't think this is much of a negative

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Captures knowledge and makes it available to everyone which is a pretty clear benefit to the company

  ### 3. Really useful tool for avoiding Knowledge Silo's

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

I like that if offers a chance to document questions that are either repeatedly asked or useful for sharing in the same way that developers are used to searching for answers

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Getting people to buy into answering questions with good wuality answers

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its a much better alternative to Wiki Articles that are out of date by the time they are published or the mine field that can be Sharepoint. It allows a single place for a Q&A/Useful info with comments, multiple answers as things change

  ### 4. Stack Overflow for teams has been great to share code quality suggestions with my fellow developers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | Associate Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

The upsides to stack overflow are the tags and the search function

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

There is not anything I have found that has been a bottleneck on StackOverflow for teams

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stack Overflow helps us solve code quality issues and offers the ability to find standard procedures for code design patterns

  ### 5. Great option for team knowledge base

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

All our developers are familiar with the UI and the process of asking and answering questions, so it's easy to use. The search is also a big plus for us, since it's easy to find specific questions.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Sometimes you don't want to ask a question, you just want to save a description or a process and the SO UI makes that a little awkward. It assumes everything is a question. Not really an issue, just a little odd in some cases.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a familiar UI and that increases our developers' willingness to use it. That makes it more likely they will add to the knowledge base. The effective search means they find answers to questions sooner with less frustration with many other platforms we've tried.

  ### 6. I didn't know about Stack Overflow for Teams before, now I love it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** João C. | Lead Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow for Teams is a game-changer for companies. It offers the same exceptional features as Stack Overflow but in a private version exclusively for internal use. It enables efficient collaboration, secure knowledge sharing, and swift problem-solving within a single company. It has allowed us to build a searchable and easy-to-browse knowledge base.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

One downside is that the user count is typically lower than the public Stack Overflow community. This results in more unanswered questions within your company's private instance. It's also less peer-reviewed, so the content may not be as high quality.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The persistent knowledge base in Stack Overflow for Teams ensures that valuable insights are archived and accessible for future reference. The private community can provide access to a larger pool of domain experts. Additionally, the search functionality makes it easier to find existing answers. We were doing it over Slack before, but that gets easily lost and is hard to trace back.

  ### 7. Answers at your finger tips

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jen F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow is quick and easy to navigate, when you first open Stack Overflow - the site is very well layed out, easy to navigate and the pop-ups are very handy when you are first starting out. The Tags come in really handy when searching for questions or answers.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I find the emails from Stack Overflow to be a bit much, everday i would recieve at least 2-3 as a reminder to log on and help answer questions, in my role they tagged me as a "Super User". One email a day would be enough.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our industry, we post and answer questions pertaining to design. When i have a question about design or practices, i can quickly go into Stack and look for answers rather than bother my co-workers and ask them repeated questions. This reduces time taken from their work day and i can quickly move on with my work!

  ### 8. Great for knowledge sharing and centralization

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow for Teams provides a good, searchable repository for team knowledge and answers to questions. It helps experienced members of our team avoid answering the same questions over and over, while enabling people who need the answers to find them.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

* The interface for managing tags is a little clunky - I'd love to see just a list or table of tags+metadata rather than the card interface which can be difficult to scan and doesn't use the screen real estate very efficiently.
* The interface for finding unanswered questions in particular categories was a little unintuitive to find. I found it, but struggled more than I would have expected.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have several knowledge repositories and it can be hard to search all of them. That results in questions with documented answers frequently being asked in general channels. Stack Overflow for Teams is acting as a one-time question/answer spot to avoid repeated questions and allow those who know where the documentation is to provide links upon request.

  ### 9. Stackoverflow for Teams Free Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregory E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It seems like a very good way to manage knowledge within an organisation. There are a lot of useful features on the full paid for tier that would make finding an answer very intuitive. The setup is easy and it intigrates with existing tools well.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

The free tier is very limited making it difficult to get a decent use of the product, thereby justifying the change and the cost of the full product, especially for small teams

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a central place that team members can ask questions that eliminates repetative questions in instant messaging platfroms. The full version would also be a very good place to store company procedures and documentation.

  ### 10. Our internal knowledge base

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

- It is stackoverflow.
- To have the hability to use powerful stackoverflow platform for our internal questions.
- All the familiar stackoverflow features but for internal use.
- Free for small/mid teams.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

- As far as I understood, no way to use personal account in teams, so I have to mantain 2 differents accounts, personal and teams account.
- Design by now it is a little outdated.
- Some form of sandbox, as public stackoverflow, to share code examples directly on site.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before start using it, almost all team questions were done in slack, mainly by direct message, driving team members to stackoverflow teams made those questions being available in a space shared with the entire team. So now, when someone has a question, it is checked if has been already asked in teams, if not, can be asked in here as future refrence.

  ### 11. How StackOverflow Teams helped my team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bacho B. | Middle iOS Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Most useful thing about Stack Overflow for teams is that every post has it's own rating, according to upvotes and downvotes. It helps to choose most convenient solution for the problem.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Only the thing I would like to improve is the UI of comment sections for the questions. sometimes it's hard to understand, what part of the question are you answering for. commenting for main question or for another comment

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem that Stack Overflow for Teams is solving is knowlage share issues between big development team members. With Stack Overflow for Teams you can ask any question related to any topic and find the answers from the team members, which are sorted by rating, that also helps to find most suitable solution.

  ### 12. Good platform but having questions answered in slack is usually more searchable

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Avoids duplicate questions with self-serve

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

searchability access is not as good as slack

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Q and A platform, but I think it lacks benefit because most questions are answered on slack

  ### 13. Great Knowledge Repository for Group

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Gambling & Casinos | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Searching for answers to existing issues is super easy and adding new questions to be answered is also really easy. This is much, much better than having some network folder of documentation.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

There is an onboarding process for your group but it still takes everyone getting onboard with the idea of using the application. This may be difficult for people to get used to using a website as a knowledge center.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Support issues that come up a lot are easy to remember but those issues that don't come up much can be hard to recall just how to remedy them. Satck Overflow for Teams is helping us keep that knowledge somewhere easy to find.

  ### 14. Great tool to share knowledge but usefulness is largely dependent on engagement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vladimir R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Familiar, decades-proven UI: voting, comments, tags, @mentions, reputation system.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Nothing on the product side, but success of SOfT in a company is rather organizationally challenging: the product needs a lot of engagement from the most knowledgeable people in the company (usually senior staff and leads) in order to bring value. If critical mass is not gained, questions remain with no answer or poor answers, and the tool loses credibility from users (askers). Plus, proper positioning in the company is required so that SOfT is not shadowed by other company tools such as messengers.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SOfT is helping to get answers and gain knowledge about company-specific technologies. I benefit by getting the information I need when 1) I don't know whom to ask or 2) when I think the answer may be helpful for a broad audience.

  ### 15. Most efficient way to organize your company knowledge base while promoting community engagement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I do like that it share all the functionalities from StackOverflow while keeping private our knowledge. Sometimes we have to assure that the research information don't leaks and this provide as a very effective way to handle that. We also like the functinoa

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Probably the user limit count, I would also like to have a view where you can explore related questions and answers based on similarities. Something like a graph exploration visualizer.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The need for a user-friendly platform that organize the knowledge base that emerges as everyday doubts. Also it speeds the integration of newcomers to our organization as they can consult the knowledge gather on stackoverflow.

  ### 16. Stack Overflow- A place to explore and learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Capital Markets | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

it is a platform for doubt clarification

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

it has keyword search mismatch sometimes

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Help in clarifying my doubt and get suggestions on possible resolutions.

  ### 17. Usability and efficiency that Stackoverflow brings between teams and general community

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Translation and Localization | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

People often praise Stack Overflow for Teams for its ability to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing within my team or organization. It lets me and my colleagues ask questions and get answers from each other, creating a private, secure space for exchanging knowledge. This is particularly useful when we're onboarding new team members, as they can easily access previously asked questions and answers.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

1. Pricing: I find the pricing for private teams to be bit high, especially for small teams or startups with limited budgets.

2. User Interface: I find the interface not as intuitive as I would like. I feel it could be more user-friendly.

3. Integration: While Stack Overflow for Teams does offer integration with some tools, I wish for more seamless integration with a wider range of tools and platforms.

4. Customization: I wish I had more options to customize the look and feel of my private Stack Overflow for Teams space.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowledge Management: It help to centralize and organize the knowledge within a team or organization. This means that instead of having information scattered across different platforms or lost in slack and email threads, everything is in one place and easily searchable through me.

Onboarding: It enables new team members to quickly get up to speed by accessing the collective knowledge of the team. They can find answers to common questions without needing to interrupt others.

Efficiency: It reduce duplication of effort. If one person has a question, it's likely others do too. By asking and answering questions in Stack Overflow for Teams, everyone can benefit.

Last but not the least - Stackoverflow works as a one source of truth for our team. Much more manageable than earlier.

  ### 18. A great tool for inter-company collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Its easy to use, the menu is clear and the alerts are useful, rather than feeling like Spam.
Where we've had common problems across various teams it gets visibility of the issue or question to other people within the organisation with different ideas or engages someone who's had a similar issue and already found a solution.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It doesnt blend seamlessly with stackoverflow and you find yourself having to create a separate account on there - would be better if it was one site with teams/public sections instead of working like 2 separate websites.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its making common issues across our teams more visible and engaging more people, inviting discussions and collaboration

  ### 19. Useful for soliciting answers to technical questions about software functionality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Question digest functionality, key words. A real differentiator for my use case is the ability to target specific individuals who I think might have the answer to my question, which is mostly for customer support and understanding technical details.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Frequency of use - i don't use it that often. I have used it 3 times in the last 1.5 months. Perhaps I don't know enough of what it can do or what it should be used for

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Asking a question when I don't know exactly which specific individual or team will have the answer

  ### 20. Just like Stack, only local!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Friendly and intuitive interface, familiar to developers.
Good onboarding process and support
Good dashboards and success metrics

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Articles are difficult to manage - somewhat like a wiki, yet not at the same time. The permissions model for the articles is confusing (though this has changed recently).

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a permanent storage for all the questions that emerge on Slack.

  ### 21. Why I like stack overflow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan T. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Have used regular StackOverFlow as a software engineer for many years.

Now as a software support technician, I better understand the need to document answers to common and rare questions.

I am trying to get my current company to implement StackOverFlow for teams for our Tech support team. Right now, we have answers in MS Teams, word documents, excel files, power point slides, and OneNote files.

I did look at some other Knowledge Base products. I could not get X-wiki to work for me.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Not sure of any downsides.

The only part not working for me is not your issue but mine. I just have to make time to enter our data into our private StackOverFlow For Teams web page. Once I have more info, then I will present to my superviser.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

knowledge retention

  ### 22. Great tool for our company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow for Teams is a great tool because it allows questions within our company to be answered by those who know the answers best. I also appreciate that I can answer other questions I happen to see that I know as well. Lastly, as a developer, I appreicate the ability to view the app in 'dark mode' and view on mobile. The experience is quite good on both desktop and mobile.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I have no major complaints being a user. I appreciate my company investing the money for the license.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Surfacing questions that would normally be asked in a Microsoft Teams chat and likely get buried. Questions can be lifted up the portal and be answered correctly and help others who might have the same question later.

  ### 23. StackOverflow review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

StackOverflow has been very helpful from the start of my career where I always come to find answers to my technical queries and have never been disappointed

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

users don't accept the answer when it works for them for the query they have asked

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it been very helpful for my java related queries

  ### 24. Great tool for compiling team solutions to problems.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow for Teams is a great way to organize and document questions and solutions for future team members' reference. Not only can I ask a question from the experts in my department, but I can also search for previously answered questions. It is standard for a specific issue to occur before, and the history of questions and answers prevents repetitive and unnecessary answering.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It would be nice for there to be an ability to ping experts in a field to answer questions that have been sitting for a while. Occasionally, a question will go unanswered and sit until the poster bugs an expert through other forms of communication.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With intricate projects and new platforms such as Outsystems, our team has specific and gritty problems to solve. Instead of reinventing the wheel, future team members can reference an initial question and answer. This helps the group establish a process and standard for the solution that was agreed upon. Future projects won't stumble over the problems that have already been solved. These new policies and posts can function as living documents and grow as team knowledge grows.

  ### 25. A truly indispensable resource of knowledge within the company

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow for teams is great because it helps me look for solutions within the context of my company. There are coworkers of mine that frequently post about company-specific coding standards that I can look up. This is far more beneficial than looking online for this information, which may be good coding advice but not with the standards I am looking for.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

There is not much to dislike about Stack Overflow for Teams. The user interface could use some improvements, like more buttons for shortcuts to travel between pages but other than that I am enjoying the experience.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Throughout my time at Federated, Stack Overflow has been instrumental in helping me solve small coding problems that I am working on in the OutSystems application. Through stackoverflow for teams, I can ask a question and receive a quick response from one of my team members about what coding problem I have been having an issue with. Most recently, it was about syntax for a String input.

  ### 26. Overally nice platform

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

You can get localaise Q n A for your team-specific needs. Easy to implement and integrate. Didn't even need to contact customer support and used it quite frequently for a quarter.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

The interface is just like SO and gives the same vibe rather than individuality to specific team.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

team internal use for a project which run for a quarter

  ### 27. Easy to read through and find previously asked questions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

  ### 28. we are creating knowledge base

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** oyuk b. | developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It can be private enough to share our team's shared info, and it has been the best solution to find that information. Especially if your company hires new employees often, you can share important information here and share it without a hassle

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I have no complaints about it. Since i started my career as a developer it really helped me through solutions.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since my organization is using Stack overflow to share common solutions for junior developers, it has saved so much time for senior developers, since we juniors ask so many same questions :)
and asking questions as a junior developer is not easy too, so it will give you that win win situation all at once

  ### 30. It's Stack Overflow, but for your day to day problems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus B. | Product Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It is familiar. It works exactly like Stack Overflow, but it can be specialized to niche problems that only your teammates would understand

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

The searching could be better, sometimes the recommended results don't appear in the actual results after you press Enter

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A lot of our knowledge is still very tribal, so to find an answer you need to ask someone. StackOverflow Teams allows you to ask that question, but in a way that the next person who has that question can immediately know the answer

  ### 31. Experience with Stack Overflow Teams has been fairly good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I like using Stack Overflow. Interface is good, seach is good and everything.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Sometimes it's not completely adopted. Meaning that if many people within organization don't use it, then you won't get much answers. For most of the answers I have to go searching in Slack because the question is not answered in Stack Overflow. If it's somehow possible to get more people active in Stack Overflow Teams, the network effect would be very beneficial. I don't know if it already exists. But maybe some sort of notification system when someone asks a question that notifies the respective channel in Slack (since it's most popularly used) so that people will go to Stack Overflow and answer the question.s

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me, the two apps that I use to get answers are Slack and Stack Overflow. One thing I like in Stack Overflow over Slack is that in Slack you once the question is asked after a certain timeframe it's lost due to newer discussions in the channel. However, in Stack Overflow, it's a better in the sense that a question is in a way always there. There is no concept of new questions shadowing older questions.

  ### 32. Perfect tool to save time in a dev team.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

The simplicity of use, and the fact that we can go deeply in the particularity of our infrastructure helps to save time by not re-asking the same questions again and again to our colleagues.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Nothing for now, Stack Over Flow for Teams help us, just take time to get in the habit of using it instead of going to a colleague. Maybe an improvement can be to add a tutorial part/tag so we can create one when we had a issue and found the solution by ourself.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solve the problems of asking to colleague again the same questions by different people whene those question are relative to our organization and products. And when people find a solution of their own problems that can help others.

  ### 33. Early Stages But Looking Good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adeiza H. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It promotes discussions between staff and staff learning. It also provides a great way of archiving knowlede for fututre use. It also provides enough support for users who are new to Stack Overflow.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

A lot of great features are not free. Would be nice if you could also link you team account to your public Stack Overflow accounts so work colleagues could view it.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's being used for a variety of things inlcuding increasing and improving knowledge sharing and collaboration, information archiving. It's also being used a central source to point to other (difficult to find) resources. THis makes it easier for staff to find out what they need to know.

  ### 34. A great internal collaboration tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom K. | Technical Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Being able to ask questions with internal specifics, or to receive answers that are relative to internal procedures is invaluable and is a great way for our more experienced to share, but most importantly DOCUMENT their knowledge for all those who need it in the future

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

At this moment in time, we do not have any specific dislikes, but it would be nice if we could get an RSS/API feed of questions posted so we can set up custom notifications to our discord or other communication tools

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Existing answers to repeat questions are now available to all.
Business-specific questions are more likely to get an answer that relates to our internal procedures, methods and skill sets

  ### 35. Very Helpful!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danne L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow has been a game-changer for our team! It has been so helpful to have a place to stay organized and informed on all features and procedures.

Our customers are getting assistance even faster- a win-win!

Thank you!!

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I truly have not come across anything I don't like or find useful in Stack. This program is user-friendly. Any improvements I would have suggested here, I've found a way to make happen.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency, Organization, Faster Response Times in Customer Service- Overall, we are functioning at our best yet with this addition to workflow. It's the small changes that add up daily for any company and Stack is one of them for us!

  ### 36. Sharing knowledge

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

What I like most is that in a team non-ephemeral knowledge is shared almost automatically. Everyone asks questions, so by documenting these, everyone has access to this knowledge.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Honestly, I haven't found any downsides.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a knowledge base without putting too much effort into it.

  ### 37. Useful when you know what you're looking for :)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

My colleagues have the same questions, concerns, hurdles, etc. as me. That's so cool. I am not alone.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It isn't integrated into any other process. You have to intentionally decide to access Stack Overflow.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal operations type of Q&A (with technology, hours billing, etc.)

  ### 38. StackOverflow Teams -- Best in class for internal support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike C. | Principal Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It's a given that the traditional StackOverflow is best in class. Teams brings that same experience inside your firewall where you can grow a knowledge base that fits seamlessly with your developer's existing experience.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

The downside is this implementation requires the right internal culture -- developers willing to invest in the tool to help others and ensure that those seeking help always receive prompt answers.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Distributing internal expertise across team boundries and providing assistance across the organization. Compared with using Confluence or similar wiki platform, this enables more direct question/answer engagements as well as tayloring information to specific problems.

  ### 39. A must have for a growing start up

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

We are growing so fast in our company that information gets easily lost or disorganized. With SO we have found a tool where we can collect all questions and answers. I have saved around 70% of my time answering questions from team members by using SO.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It would be great to trigger notifications for certain hashtags to certain teams on Teams.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have so many new team members and so much knowledge that we needed a space where all questions could be answered and saved.

  ### 40. Perfect for teams that struggle to maintain volatile technical and operational documentation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Our team was relatively strong on documentation and maintained the repo markdown documentation, well written PR's and in-code advisories. However we struggled to maintain "active technical/operational" documentation - the finer points of how to run various systems, how to's and Q&A's on various systems and other kind of time-saving documentation that changes frequently.

Stack Overflow teams give us a nifty way to see the latest changes on volatile technical or operational information - and recommend changes to each other on the fly.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I wouldn't say I dislike any aspect of Stack Overflow for Teams - I would say that it is important to use the right tool for the right problem. For more static documentation, like how to run a given code base, dependencies, or basic QA criteria to check it is more helpful to use Stack Overflow for Teams as a *complimentary* tool to good markdown, Github PR templates and other documents.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us to maintain documentation for items that change frequently - technical how-to's, the latest "gotcha's" and information that we need to share with the wider company on a frequent basis.

  ### 41. Stackov

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow for teams has been our one stop solution to resolving bugs. One of the things I love about it, it how it helps me and my team members get unblocked quickly. The best thing about stackoverflow is the ability to tag questions and answers with specific topics making it easier to organize and find information.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

The only thing I dont like about stack overflow teams is a lot of times specific problems are raised as issues in the open source github repositories where the creators have answered how to resolve it but stackoverflow does not include those issues and answers. An explicit google search is required. I would love to see this feature get added in the near future.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While writing code debugging errors becomes simiplier due to stack overflow due to its huge knowledge base. Chances are someone else faced the same issue and asked on stackoverflow teams. So just searching stackoverflow for teams can save a lot of time that would have gone into debugging. This helps me as a developer to ship products faster.

  ### 42. Works like a charm, so far

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerard v. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Easily share questions with the entire product development team without bombarding a single colleague with questions. Also tags are really useful in making sure only relevant messages go to the right teams.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Search function is not as helpful as I was expecting, also integrations are limited which made me rely on Zapier to push messages to Google chats. In addition I would really like to be able to filter where notifications go based on tags.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My main focus was to not have to rely on 1-on-1 communication between members to ask questions, putting messages in the all developers chat can be quite hard for newcomers.
Through the similar questions functionality I hope the threshold for posting questions is lower as they can be more assured they are not repeating an already asked question.
In addition all the answers are kept in stackoverflow so information is a lot easier to find in the future.

  ### 43. Stack Overflow for Teams has been a blessing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It's an intuitive way to save our collective knowledge. We are all used to looking stuff up on Stack Overflow and the ability to see if someone asked that before without wading through 5+ outdated Confluence documentations is just great. I'm happy my company signed up for this because every time I left a detailed answer on a Jira ticket or Confluence article I felt it would promptly get lost forever. Now people actually read my answers.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Mail spam could be better, I don't need to know about everything going on by default. Organization into sub categories could be better, as it stands I'm not really sure if we can have separate "component" spaces though it might not be totally necessary with correct tagging.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sometimes a pertinent bug pops up and you just know it's not the first time this happened. When it's something people deal with and you can just throw it up on there without worrying about who to ask about this or if anyone will see your article it's nice. I've had a few questions answered rather quickly and am pretty happy.

  ### 44. Great platform for reduction of frequent software questions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt P. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I like the search function the best. The query parameter makes it super easy to search for either a vague topic or something super specific. I prefer this service compared to another similar platform I've used, Tettra.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It can be a little tricky to make sure you're searching for Team Specific Q&A vs the community wide Q&A.

That said, I think both are pretty important to have access to but just make sure you're searching in the right section.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer team asks the same questions over and over again.

By posting common questions in Stack Overflow our team can cut down on internal comms and save time. Super helpful.

  ### 45. Makes using a wiki feel like 1982

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared Y. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I really like how easy it is to find information that is highly specific to our team. The ability to search on tags, keywords, and subject matter makes finding the right answer to a question or common scenario in our environments very easy. We can have different answers for different environments, edit those answers as the technical needs change, and keep answers current. And I like that it is a format and user experience that all of our developers are used to.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

There was a big change to SO for Teams a while back that caused my user to break. I had to create a new user, losing the connection to questions and answers that were in our Teams instance. It's trivial, but annoying.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes finding answers so much easier. Documentation on wiki's (i.e. Confluence) is much harder to search and find exactly what you are looking for. Our team can now document common tasks and problems with the correct solutions and everyone can find that information quickly.

  ### 46. A Game Changer for My Organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Stack Overflow for Teams allows my organization to finally leverage the many benefits of Stack Overflow for our internal use cases. We have a variety of platforms that are used across the organization for storing information. The search capabilities for these platforms vary drastically. Stack Overflow for Teams provides a single location where users can search and ask questions instead of executing keyword searches across multiple platforms. In addition to the core features and benefits, Stack Overflow for Teams provides suggestions for improving our content, from writing better questions to effective tag management.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

The integration with Microsoft Teams is a little lackluster. In general, it would be great to see more/improved opportunities for connecting Stack Overflow for Teams with other platforms to assist with directing users back to Stack Overflow for Teams for questions and answers.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stack Overflow for Teams provides my organization with a central location to find and share information. Having a single place to find answers has been very impactful in tearing down the information silos throughout the org.

  ### 47. Still learning it's usefulness

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Paper & Forest Products | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

All our user manuals ie questions are in one place and can be updated easily

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Loggin in is always a challenge for me. I have to keep a tab open on my browser because I can never remember how to get back to the login page

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One stop shop for answers to newcomers questions. When experts leave, they spend their last two weeks writing everything they think the rest of the team will need in stack overflow

  ### 48. A very simple, flexible way to manage information and knowledge in an organisation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

Allows for collaboration, endless possibilities, the Q&A features and Collections

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I haven't come across any yet. It needs to be well-managed internally but is incredibly useful.

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to share knowledge across the organisation and plug any gaps. It promotes shared learning and collaboration utilising internal subject matter experts.

  ### 49. Good experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

I like the content sharing it allow. It's another approach unlike trello or wiki. It's a more collaborative method in my view. I like the support around it too.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

What I disliked in the product start was the need to be on StackOverflow to be able to see SO for Team, but this year it was changed luckilly to a stand alone portal. It feel more standalone and it bring a balance if you want a personnal account on SO vs a corporate account on SO for Team

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solve the issue of having Q/A that finish as knowledge base.

  ### 50. Best know-how library ever - "as we all know"

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Stack Overflow Internal?**

It is possible to share your knowledge rapidly. and you don't need to feel hesitated when you need to ask the same thing for the third time.

**What do you dislike about Stack Overflow Internal?**

UI is not so friendly and for enterprise version it is a bit confusing to login to your own teams stack wall. And could be great if a question has an ID in it

**What problems is Stack Overflow Internal solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a young and agile organisation but it comes with a big turn-over . when a colleague leave the company and new people gets on board it is more likely to keep on agile path.
