## SSL.com Reviews
  ### 1. Worst website ever....

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keven L. | Directeur aux opérations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2024

**What do you like best about SSL.com?**

Chat for support
Email for support
Fast support answers

**What do you dislike about SSL.com?**

* Very confusing website
* Very hard to find information about your purchase
* Confirmation email not working properly
* Customer satisfaction doesn't cover purchased devices
* By default, they activate service you manually disabled

**What problems is SSL.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used SSL.com to acquire an EV Signing certificate.

  ### 2. SSL.com do no recommend

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ilya K. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2022

**What do you like best about SSL.com?**

I can not find positive things in the work of this organization, I recommend it to anyone who loves trouble and wants to be left without a certificate

**What do you dislike about SSL.com?**

I do not recommend using the services, I could not renew the certificate, without explaining the reasons, the support did not answer anything, a complete ignore. If you do not want to get problems in the future, it is better to use the services of other companies.

**What problems is SSL.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unfortunately there are no perks. I realized that there are only disadvantages. There are advantages to other companies with which it is better to work. Thank you

  ### 3. Cannot disable auto-renewal or remove your CC billing details

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josiah S. | SVP, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2021

**What do you like best about SSL.com?**

Small indie business, which I like supporting. But not when they are borderline-fraudulent and make money by making customers contact them multiple times to stop getting billed

You can get a free SSL cert from your public cloud host (ex AWS). I like supporting small businesses like this. But this is insanity.

**What do you dislike about SSL.com?**

You cannot disable automatic renewal or remove your CC from their billing. When I contacted them to request that my account NOT get automatically renewed, the customer service rep assured me he'll take care of it.

A couple months later, I find I was automatically charged again.

I have screenshots of the chat with the customer service rep (who I will not call out by name). I saved those screenshots because I got some red flags that this was a shady operation. And it turned out I was right.

Maybe they are incompetent. Maybe they are nefarious. Can't tell. Regardless, I had to contact them a 2nd time to get them to stop charging me. And I have a feeling I'll get charged again for my other domains on this service.

**What problems is SSL.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SSL cert, which you can get for free from AWS

  ### 4. Takes forever to validate even with proper documents, support chat has not been helpful

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Motion Pictures and Film | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020

**What do you like best about SSL.com?**

Their support for using existing Yubikey tokens with attestation certificates.

**What do you dislike about SSL.com?**

Slow to respond, chat not helpful. Wish the validation process was faster. I submitted DUNS number, with ID, company papers, and photo (everything they asked). Was told to wait 2-3 days but been waiting for almost two weeks.

**Recommendations to others considering SSL.com:**

Other providers might be a lot faster to validate. SSL.com has good documentation and technical support, but the rest of their services, such as validations, are very slow.

**What problems is SSL.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tried the service for digital signatures, paid the whole price which is quite expensive. Was told to wait 2-3 days for them to validate my identity, but it has been over two weeks with no response.

  ### 5. Unbelievably bad service. Waste of time.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2020

**What do you like best about SSL.com?**

nothing, horrible company that makes customers wait for weeks for SSL certificate.

**What do you dislike about SSL.com?**

Everything, except for the design of their website.

**What problems is SSL.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to get an SSL certificate.
