From a dev environment to a prod environment only takes a few clicks and Blue Prism makes putting your processes live very easy. The key with any RPA platform is that its not a no code solution, there are times that you will have to write your own code, on the platform and Blue Prism is no different. To get the most out of Blue Prism, you will need to dedicate resources to build solutions within Blue Prism otherwise you may not see the cost savings to the product. **What do you dislike about SS&C Blue Prism Intelligent Automation Platform?** While Blue Prism is great, it does fall short in some basic integration areas, such as regular expressions in application models and general regex matching as a whole. To really get the most out of the product as previously mentioned you will find yourself writing simple code objects that perhaps the platform could do out of the box (such as checking if a column exists when working with collections) I think that it would be great if Blue Prism had better integration between a dev and prod environment, at the moment to import new releases you have manually export / import but it would be nice if there was a package release system that automatically imports a new release into a prod environment (thinking of continuous integration). It would also be great if Blue Prism could integration better testing options such as defined unit tests, before a release is made available, this way a developer can easily catch errors in their code that they might not otherwise be aware of. **What problems is SS&C Blue Prism Intelligent Automation Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** At Norfolk County Council, we're using Blue Prism to not only automate our IT requests from end users via Assyst, we are also using the platform to complete payroll related tasks and help with the COVID response by using RPA to automatically register local businesses with the Department of Health and Social Care for the UK's Workplace Surveillence Testing programme. Any changes needed at any point of time can be easily done in BluePrism because of the separation of logical layer and UI interaction layer. The debugging of the code is quite easy as compared to other RPA tools in BluePrism. The Blueprism tool can be easily integrated with any other desktop applications, mainframe applications, silverlight applications etc.The BluePrism provides an excellent system to system integration feature. Web services is another cool feature provided by Blueprism in which you can provide the service without exposing your code. The installation of Blueprism is quite easy as compared to other RPA tools. The speed of execution of BluePrism is quite high which automatically increases the operation scalability of the tool. **What do you dislike about SS&C Blue Prism Intelligent Automation Platform?** There is nothing in particular which I dislike about BluePrism but I think if it would have supported Front office automation along with the back office automation then it can be a fabulous tool for any kind of automation. It greatly reduces the complexity in automation as Blue Prism allows you to create processes with a simple drag and drop. You're neither required to know any programming nor have any prior experience with RPA. If you need training, you can use the Blue Prism Learning Edition for free for a limited time or enroll in Blue Prism University where there are several video courses to help you get a good understanding of RPA in general and how to use the Blue Prism software to suit your needs. For those who complete the courses, Blue Prism also offers certification which you can use to advance your career. As for the software itself, Blue Prism is excellent for automating tasks that are repetitive in nature without the need for human intervention. This saves you time and a lot of effort that you can invest into other work that cannot be automated. Their customer support is excellent and available at all times. **What problems is SS&C Blue Prism Intelligent Automation Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed an efficient and reliable RPA software with zero downtime to automate a lot our repetitive tasks that were exhausting and requiring too much manpower. We implemented Blue Prism to help meet those needs and combat certain issues. Blue Prism helps us manage our database by frequently updating it from importing data from Excel files. With the help of reports, we're able to have a good idea on how our projects are functioning. Although all of these tasks can be done manually, Blue Prism does them much quicker and with more accuracy. Blue Prism can also be monitored using our phones through which we can manage our automations and make changes if necessary. ### 47. I faced challenges in handling google sheet with other RPA tools but Blue Prism is a real savior. The email handling and reading capability is also very precise. **What do you dislike about SS&C Blue Prism Intelligent Automation Platform?** I don't see much downside of this tool apart from log management. Many times we encountered issues with log and queue handling. Also, it will give you a good insight on the documentation front.
